Came back from a lengthy absence from WoW and Curse has changed and I don't understand what it has to do with Twitch. I don't really want Twitch, I had problems with Twitch in the past and felt it was intrusive. I don't want their TV. I just want to download add ons. Is there a way to do this?
Did you every get an answer on this question? I'm having the same problem. I previously had a tool that would maintain/update the WOW addons, through twitch, which I don't care for either, but it worked, and it was the only aspect I used. Somewhere over the past moth, something changed, and I can no longer access that page, or get back to it through twitch. I was able to get to curseforge.com/wow/addons to download the addons.
You can download addons from curseforge website search the addon you want then click download and you will get a .zip file with a folder inside and the addon files in the folder - extract the zip and place the folder with the addon into your addons directory.
Or you can use the twitch app and it will let you search download and update really easy. If you dont want to deal with the stream part of it you can just set it to go directly to addon page when you open it.
I have a kind of dumb question but I am going to ask anyway. I am in the process of updating my cooking recipes using the Ackis addon, do i have to d/l all of the version of the recipes or only the latest one? I am computer challenged in some ways and this is one of them :) Thanks for your time and assistance.
You only need to download the latest version of the addon that is labeled as release for the version of wow you play. Classic and retail have different versions. Retail - Battle for Azeroth is 8.3.0 and classic is 1.13.5.
Also some addon developers may be in the process of updating there addons right now for the ptr/shadowlands updates. They may mark these updates as alpha or beta and will have a 9.0.1 game version.
What are the best addons for Mythic+ Dungeons? I need to ease the role of DMG and Healer, just its so hard in Dragonflight for me for Mythic+ 15 and higher

I am having no luck using TWITCH, CURSEFORGE or updating any addons for WOW.
I do use ZYGOR which is mostly just for quests and is pretty good. Has trouble keeping
up with all the "going back and forth in time periods" changes. The new auction house
is easier to use, but I cannot seem to get any questions answered about anything to do
with the auction house.
