Is there any way to get a dewdrop menu to stay open? What I am referring to is when in a raid (or even standing around in IF) if a menu is open it disappears everytime anyone in the vicinity crafts and item, makes water, etc.
Is this the way it is supposed to be or am I on crack? lol
No, you'd have to start a repeating scheduled event checking :IsOpen(...) and re-open the menu if it's not.
Dewdrops are menus in the sense of application menus and such on normal operating systems, they're not designed to stay open as a window with a list of buttons. You can use Tablet-2.0 for that with func lines.

Rabbit, I think you misunderstood the question in that we want the menu to stay open when we are trying to use it and not close prematurely. That's the way I read the first post here and the post in the other thread. I agree with your menu vs window term definition, but I think these questions are about extending the time the menu is usable and not in making them stay until explicitly closed.
Is there a way to keep menus open as we navigate through them or to have them only respond to events generated by/on/against our toons? I don't really like it when my menu closes because someone else created a bandage next to me.

I'm having the same problem and it's also been posted here http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=2165.0
