Thank you for this wonderful tool. Please give consideration to allowing all addons you have (i.e. checked) being organized to appear consecutively in the list, followed by unchecked. So a sort option of Checked Alphabetical, Unchecked Alphabetical.
SCT (and Watchdog) need to be committed to the SVN following the same scheme as everything else. I don't see why these two mods should be "special" *glares at clad*

Yeah, I actually know about this one, but haven't figured it out yet. There is something odd about the TTOptions ZIP file that clad and I can't figure out. I'll play with it some more ASAP.
and when something fails or results in an error it can result in losing the addon completely (happened to me a few times, but i watched carefully and checked to catch it.)
You can avoid this by changing the DeleteBeforeExtracting option to False. Then it will never delete it.
I suppose what I should do is extract to a safe place and delete/copy it over when I know it is extracted okay.
SCT has to have all 4 mods to work, so I don't want them separated out. Since 5.0 is in release I'll only be committing changes to the SVN at new releases, so wowinterface will always have the same as SVN.
I love this. One option would be nice though, I would like the downloads to go somewhere else as an option. I too have changed a couple of addons here there and want to control the updates myself.

Fair enough. Then it seems that the ZIP file is wrong because it has everything in a folder called SCT, which prevents clean extracting, by WinAceUpdater or by hand.
Since I suspect cladhaire will not want to special case SCT (or anyone else for that matter), perhaps we can do as Tekkub suggested and put a couple of extra fields in the TOCs of the mods to help his ZIP script know what to do?
For example, SCT could have this:
X-PackageName: SCT
And the other three could have:
X-PackageWith: SCT
And then clad's script could make the right ZIP file.

You can fake it out by changing the WowInstallDirectory option in Preferences. Just make sure the folder you give it exists. It will create Interface/Addons underneath it if it doesn't exist.
This isn't available yet, but my working copy has an option called SkipSvnWorkingCopies that tells it to not update addons where a .svn folder is present. The interesting side effect of this option is that you can create an empty .svn folder in any addon and it will be skipped. :)
wow! thank you very much for this great application!
one request:
is it possible to make some kind of additional field where if you click on updated addon it would read and show changelog file? or something along those lines, so we could easily see the changelogs from the program itself.

Okay, I've added that feature to my working copy. When your right click on an addon in the list you will now have a menu choice for "View Changelog".
Feature request:
- show a tab with current ver of the addon on my PC
- show a tab with latest ver in repository
- show latest log notes (already added by you)
- save your viewer size and column width
- color highlithing of addons that have newer version (maybe option to select highlight color. Optional)
Edit:
small changes to feature list
it keeps growing and growing... dont hate me :-P
Just rightclick a mod in the list and select view changelog to open in in your default .txt viewer would be neat. If not installed locally its grabbed from the server maybe?

I'll put that on the list.
I have been waiting for something like this for so long. With the amount of ACE addons I use, updating them all by hand is such a pain.

Coming soon...
UseRecycleBin - When true, it will move things it deletes to the Windows Recycle Bin instead of deleting them.
Default: True
