I just downloaded MAU, and I really appreciate you taking the time to port this, that being said, I would really like to see some Select all/none buttons in there.
Yes, I should probably add those (at least on a right-click or such).
At the moment, for a variety of reasons, I'm not playing WoW much, and as such I'm not working on MAU much.
If anyone wants to help with development, that'd be cool, else I'll try and make some headway when I have a chance.
Ran into some problems with this the last few days--I accidentally checked the "Uninstall" button while I had all of my recently updated mods checked. No problem, I thought, and hit the "Install" button. Now, unfortunately, I can't get the Updater to recognize that I have any of those mods installed anymore. I did just about everything I could think of to get it to try to recognize it, even as far as deleting MacAceUpdater and re-copying to the Apps folder, but nothing will work. Any ideas?
Something else that I would absolutely love to see would be a Changelog for addons, like having a popup window to the side or something. Is there someplace that changelog info can be called from?
Righty, the changelog format has changed on the server again, it seems, which means MAU needs an update before it'll detect your installed addons. I'll try and get to it soon - be thankfully for the self-version checks, and that you'll know as soon as I've fixed it :)
Thanks! I had gotten so used to this tool that having it even semi-not working is weird! I could do the manual update like I used to, but I'll be patient and make sure you know that your efforts are greatly, greatly appreciated.
I'm on an intel machine, and no change to the problem above--not detecting the installed addons still, even after resetting the addon path and the like. I'll play with it some more and see if I can get it to work.
Working fine over here on a PPC Mac. Thanks a lot for this update, I'm getting really addicted to this tool and was starting to go batty renaming the changelog files each download! Hopefully the Intel folks can get their version sorted out (@ATC, did you put a trailing "/" in your addon path? It wouldn't work for me until I did this).
For me, the only other thing that needs fixing is the wrong permissions set on addons after MacAceUpdater installs them--but at least the workaround for that is a simple chmod in the Terminal, so not too painful.
ATC: as phillips says, please ensure you have a trailing slash on your directory for addons, and then report back (yes, this is poor, but it's the way it is until I improve matters).
phillips: glad it works (mostly) for you (and it's not a generic intel mac problem - I develop on intel macs). I've been told that the permissions problem is a server-side bug with the script which generates the zip files (I can still work around this, but haven't yet).
I fixed up some crashes over the weekend, so the current code in SVN should be ok.
Unfortunately, while I was at it, it seems that ppc support broke, so if you're interested in a build for Intel machines, I can send you one, until I work out how to fix PPC.
Is this working? I've been using it for a week and, for some reason, addons I used to update almost daily (for example, Omen) don't appear as updated in the program, and today I checked and there was a newer version up (Omen, no clue about other addons).
There are a couple of addons that have been getting updated, but others that usually get daily updates don't (PitBull, Omen, etc.).
Seems to be working for me. I don't use Omen, so perhaps it's doing something that's confusing MacAceUpdater? I know when I used TinyTip, it used to constantly confuse the updater (somehow it was registering the version # of one of its libraries, not TT itself).

pipoca: glad it works :)
I changed the add-ons folder to the right location in my case but whatever I click the list stays empty..
Does it only work with WoW in the regular applications-folder?
But, MacAceUpdater crashed on my mac after configure wowace url.
How to clean up configurations of MAU?
(I was remove the ~/Library/Preferences/uk.co.kismith.mau.plist)

It crashed too on another account. :-(

Edit: here's a link to the Intel only build (Do not upgrade to this on PPC!)http://kismith.co.uk/tmp/MacAceUpdater-0.4.dmg.
