Something which would be really cool is a feature to show which mods were added in the last days/months. Because looking over the whole list to look for cool new mods is a pain.
I don't mind an extra button-mash with show-all then sort by revision, but the load-time on that process is now measured in the 15-20+ second range before I can even look at what files I may need to download.
I used to load the site, click "revision" and be downloading files near-instantly. Download speeds are as zippy as they've always been on a non-patch day.
Dunno, maybe I just need to find a package manager I can live with. It's not as if I'm married to the manual search+click scenario in the first place.

I guess the thing in my mind is what the proprietors of wowace.com intend files.wowace.com to be.
I, for one, have bookmarks to every major mod collector site out there, if I wanted THAT type of scenario I'd look there. My understanding (since files.* went public waaaaa back) was that it was the bleeding-edge SVN access for folks that were comfortable using no-frills beta content and/or wanted to correct specific bugs NOW vs next week when "version 1.5" was released to curse or wherever.
Mayhaps that is the bigger discussion that should be had by the folks paying the hosting bills? A "real" add-on site designed for Ace/Ace-derived projects and/or the no-frills machine-optimizied access for WAU and the like.
Just wanted to let y'all know about a possible bug in the coding. On Firefox 2.0.0.6 @ 732pm EST, hitting the files.wowace.com page shoots Firefox's CPU usage up to 100%. I'm guessing that there's some processing occurring in the Javascript that's using up a large amount of resources?
Looks realy nice now, some colored frames for better visibility for the typical Ace look and feel and you are pretty close to some realy nice feature for your site - thanks for your time putting into this project, it realy rocks!
A nice feature which came to my mind after first time use: "It doesn't save my settings!" May it be that somebody don't like the Blue-Cookie-Monster of our youth? ;-)
I like to sort by last update - best would be "show all updated addons in the last 24 hours" since it may happen that more than 25 addons are updated.
Or some type of userinteraction with this 25 addons per page value... Show 10/25/50/100/All
I run it with Opera and I'm having issues with it..
1. I have to scroll over to the right to see the revision (Which I have to see for every addon because I don't remember when was the last time I downloaded it)
2. I can't get rid of the ad that pops up, I don't see an X on it (With Opera). Sometimes it even has problems loading...
3. I don't like always having to click "Show all letters"
4. It causes some delay/lag
5. I'm not sure if I'm misclicking or something.... But it sometimes goes back to ownly showing A instead of all of them...
6. While I'm typing this and the page is up I'm getting typing lag...
I'd just LOVE the option to go back to the original page... Not like "Oh that'd be cool"... No... I'd LOVE it. Please. Files.WowAce.com/original ftw.

Thanks for your attention.
hmm... looks a little funny where it's placed in relation to the page numbers...
