I wasn't assuming you couldn't read. You didn't even give accurate version numbers in the first place. Mine is the version I linked, I wasn't aware it was supposed to be something later, as I have had no issue with it updating by itself in the past.
You were complaining that it said .44 instead of current. I thought you were mixing up what you saw, as it's still .44.xxx
Just noticed today with all the Rock changeovers I had more than a couple things updated. When I viewed the changelog on the HTML tab, it only showed the first handful of items.
Yeah, i dont know how big the HTMl changelog buffer was set off the top of my head. Its sort of a one time thing - and falls under TLDNR for most people. You can always use fisheye too.
Apologies if this has already been mentioned before, but .....
Is it possible to set some addons as "Do Not Update"? Some addons are giving me trouble with recent updates (the "Rock" ones) and I'd like to update them when the smoke settles. Until then I'd like WAU to NOT update them, but update all my others (by allowing me to toggle a "Do Not Update" flag against it.
Any chance of getting something like this implemented?

Lich, right click them in WAU and choose ignore.
LOL! I'll check this when I get home, but I can't believe I missed the bleeding obvious. I must be my male domestic blindness ..... again. (Why is it you can never find what you need in the fridge, but your wife picks it out immediately?)
My husband put an open jar of spaghetti sauce on the second shelf in our fridge door last week, where I usually put it on the top shelf. I didn't see it and opened a new jar for dinner a couple nights later. Then I found the first jar a couple nights after that... Women are blind too... But usually because men don't put things where they are supposed to go. :P
Wishful thinking, but would it be possible to implement a feature in WAU that removes unused libraries? And a little off topic, but does anyone know of a good program for backing up folders? Maybe something that remembers folders you backed up in the past and allows you to simply back them up again? I'm currently backing up via winrar manually, and I know there has to be a less tedious way.

Hmmm ... I remember those words so well. They are usually accompanied by a sharp slapping sound around the back of the head. I can't actually feel it anymore; I think I've been desensitised there. ;)
Hi All,
if I don't check the "Skip Version Check" option I get the following errors:
Bypassing Cache, Reloading index from http://files.wowace.com/

some versions ago the option to clean saved variables snuck in and I have been afraid to click it til now...
My guess would be it deletes all savedvariables for addons that aren't installed anymore (which would make me worry as to how aceupdater will differentiate between ace and non ace (on the other hand...could delete all savedvars for addons that are in the svn but not installed (nesting level overkill ;) ) )
My fear was that it was for completely resetting ALL savedvariables (also known as deleting)...
I know many people from my guild don't check the forums and still were using the old Updater branch until I told them what happened.
Is there still any way to sneak code into the old ClickOnce product branch? If so wouldn't it be worth a try to disconnect it from the SVN and direct it to a new one having only one addon (fake addon which display a link to the forums or tells people to reinstall the updater). Kind of like was done when the updater switched from 1.7 to 1.8 (or was it another version change? I don't remember...

I was scared of this too, but my fears were put to rest when I tried it.
It deletes SV from addons who do not have a folder in your Interface/AddOns directory.
It also makes a backup, so if you decide you want stuff back, unrar and pick out what you want.
Maybe it's a noob question, but i'm a behind a proxy that requires authentification to access the internet.
As WAU doesn't seems to have options to configure access http://files.wowace.com through proxy, how can i update my addons without redownloading them one by one ?

I made it crash? Does that count?

And as for assuming I can't read, here's the link
http://www.wowace.com/wau/publish.htm
within WAU it shows the version as 1.9.44.654
that link shows *.656

That's easy. It's because she moved it to the unnatural, nonsensical place that you would never think to look in.

Thanks!
And :)
It would be easyear if when you use the updater and have the !BugGrabber & BugSack installed to automatically push the bugs on the bugtracker.

Which is true? ;)
