Where can I find the old working version? Today I installed, reinstalled, installed and reinstalled over and over again but only get errors, the older versions worked fine. I rather go with a working non-supported one than a new shiny supported broken one.
Sorry you have had such difficulty. Unsupported means, I wont be providing any assistance at all. Even with locating a copy.

Ensure that you updated the manifest file and signed it again. Republish your application by using Visual Studio or use Mage to sign the application again.

That said, this issue I stated above is not linked to the particular version this current thread is specifically about. My solution may be solved in general by diagnosing what occured with the last 3 versions that all behaved the same on my system.
1.9.44 Is the current version. What versions are you refering to? Note any version other than the current one is unsupported.
I do apologize if this is said somewhere else, I've been looking and cannot find some general guide on what to do once you install this. This is the first time ive ever used it and havent the slightest clue how to get it to show my addons.
I get the "Ready... (Data is not cached old) message" and no addons show up at all, I have windows firewall turned off, has been for quite a while. I have the AVG firewall allow WAU to access the internet, but still no addons appear, and have my WOW/Interface/Addons folder selected in the directory. I also get the attached error when i click on the updated tab.

I am sorry if I am not making this clear.
The last version I can get to work is 1.8.39. I have tried several newer versions since that and they all exhibit the same behavior I described. This includes 1.9.44. They start, I see a window open and close in about a second and thats all I get. No error messages.
--> Home sick today, so did a unistall and fresh DL and reinstall, verivied dot net up to date, checked firewall settings. All looks good and yet still the application starts, then is closed immediatly. :(
Is it possible to add an option to disable the creation of addon snapshots.
If something is broken I tend to investigate and manually install the previous working version, creating an .svn folder to prevent updates until I know the issue is resolved.
Being able to disable the snapshots would save me removing the directory every week or so.

Just posting as a comment some weird behavior. WAU just updated to the latest version, 1.9.44.671 and it seemed to take forever, ~7 minutes instead of the usual 10 seconds. I generally update daily before starting wow and the previous versions were super fast.

1) Random errors with downloading addons (will autoretry)
2) "Object instance not set ...." and blank addon list. (Will refresh the addon list once)
3) Preserving the ignore settings during an upgrade.

It says that it cant reach wowace.com
Right, but i have the AVG firewall configured so it lets WAU through. I dont think its my router, what could it be? Forgive me if im being a retard.
Awesome changes.

The snapshots at most take 200k on disk.
You can disable them in the preferences.

Edit: And why the heck does it reset my settings every time it updates itself? /sigh
I was just about to edit my post. I figured I'd better check files.wowace.com and it's down. Sorry, Sylv.
Is WAU supposed to save settings (like tool bar positions and visible columns) after updating? Cause mine only works half the time.
If your referring to the option Save Old Version Info, I've never enabled it. It still creates snapshots.
Thanks Sylvanaar, great program... I'd be very out of date without it. ;)
200k on the disk. If i find the time i'll look into it, but dont hold your breath.
