The picture that Phanx shamelessly "revealed" :p was from Blizzcon. For the most part, people looked exactly as I expected, except maybe Seerah (looked better :o ;))
Yeah, I was like WAIT what, he *is* a guy. And to be honest, I always thought he'd look tough and harsh, he looks like a cuddle bear. (As does Iriel). Now about Cairenn, all I can say is "wow". << In a good way
Ever since someone described Tekkub as a "bitchy queen" I've had this mental image of him that was totally different than that picture. :p

Someone else posted the link; I just quoted it. ;)
Also, screw this forum and its "you have included more than 4 images in your post" garbage. Emoticons are not images (well they are, but you know)! And 3 of them were in quotes!
It seems like a lot of you must not have checked out the program in a while...it scanned my addon list and let me know what ones were out of date. BUT - not this is a BIG BUT! Right at the bottom of the screen there was a line that GIVES THE AUTHOR'S NAME! And a hotlink that lets you go to the actual DL site so you can check out the notes and such stuff.
Yes, they've added those features in the time since I first contacted them asking them to remove my addons and posted here and on WoWInterface. At the time of the original post of this thread, author names and download links were not available anywhere on the website or in the client. Adding them now not change the fact that they are violating US copyright law and the licensing terms of my addons by distributing them without my prior consent. It does not change the fact that they are hurting the sites who actually host the addons.
And it certainly does not change the fact that I asked them to stop distributing my addons months ago and they still have not done so; they have deceptively removed them from the listing on their website, but continue to make them available through their client, a clear sign that they are aware that they are actively resisting complying with my rightful request. Other authors have experienced similar difficulties. I suspect that they have only added the features you mention in an attempt to forestall additional takedown requests from addon authors. WoWMatrix is interested only in making money for themselves; they do not respect addon authors' wishes or legal rights.
there is NO stable Mac updater other than this so some of us have very little choice right now and with the new patch and updates going several times a day in some cases it gets VERY hard to keep up doing it all manually.
Wrong. There are plenty of stable updaters that work on the Mac and are not fraught with the legal and ethical issues that plague WoWMatrix. See the "Updaters" forum here on WowAce. And I haven't had any problem keeping ~200 addons updated manually.

I did check out the threads in the Updaters area and none work. I tried the links for WADUU, the Java one (has been discontinued) and WUU and all them seem to not be working, discontinued or dead links.
I am going to try a hopefully happy medium that will be ok for you authors and help me determine what mods I have are out of date. I will use Matrix to scan my mods and then manually goto Curse and DL my outdated mods...
I have done programming and feel for your hard work and do not want to disrespect you all - I value your work and try and flip you guys a few bucks when I can because I know you basicly do this all for free.
Now when or maybe I should say IF Curse ever gets its Mac version working then I will be using it and be out of this and leave Matrix far behind.
wow.. I really didnt realize that wowmatrix was such a problem to you all, and I really feel bad that I downloaded it in the first place. I will also put this thread on our Guild site and take out the Link to wowmatrix ( I cant stop My guildys from using it..but I dont have to help them get it either ) I will be taking it off right away and sticking with curse..but I do have to say that I have had more than a few problems with the CC. Lets hope they can straighten it out soon.
Even if the cursedclient would work 100% it is still no substitution for WoWMatrix. WoWMatrix aims to update all addons from all websites not just the crap from cursed.com.

WowMatrix aims to make as much money from other peoples costs as possible and nothing else... making a user friendly updater is only a means to that.

If you don't like the addons hosted on Curse.com, don't use them. There is absolutely no point to your post besides getting people riled up. This subject has been discussed to death. I'm locking the thread now.

Uhm, I'm not, you're thinking of the husband (Rohon) and his lil friend (Miller)... there' total homos. I at least try to avoid being "stereotypical".
Hey, Sylv said it, not me! :p
