Ackis: its the little blue or pink push switch on the back of your computer near where the power cord connects... just ignore that whole 110 and 220 things ;)
Once when I was a teenager I watched my dad (an electrical engineer) assemble a 486 PC from parts (the first of many computers I've since built or helped build from parts). While he was connecting the power supply I made a loud *BZZZT* noise and he jumped three feet into the air. He didn't live that one down for a while.
When I was a teenager I helped assemble our computer desk. About halfway through there was a nice loud "pop" and the power went out. This was followed by much giggling outside. Turns out that while my mother was testing out the new hedge trimmer, she sawed through the extension cord.

For the love of everything holy, if you have a switch on your psu that is not the 1/0 switch (power) DO NOT TOUCH IT.

"Ok.. turn it off, wait a minute or so, then turn it back on"
"Ok.. which button is that?"
"Uhhh.. the big red one on the front......"
