Wow, kudos to the author (neuron) for this cool addon. Basically a cross between Questfu and Quest-I-on but with tweaks and options that make it better (IMO).
Its at wowace.com/files, found it by accident while browsing and its my new quest tracker.
So far it's just the minion, but it's looking great!
One little problem I had, was that I couldn't change the Zone colour, it would always revert to black if I tried to change it. Another little issue was that it doesn't seem to give all the quests a level in the combat log. At the moment only one zone has its quest levels filled in, not sure what's going on there.
Looking forward to the updates, this is definitely a keeper!
Does it also hook into the tooltip (as EQL)? When I do one of those stupid kill-quests, where I have to kill a certain amount of mobs, it shows me in the tooltip something like "Mob XY 1/6" when hovering over the unit. If it doesn't, it would be great if you could add it. :)

It does :)

if nQL has a dual-pane design...
Hell yeah... dual-panel is a must. ;)
It doesn't, but it's designed in a way so you hopefully never have to open the blizzard questlog again ;) (except from for quest details, but replacement quest details frame is coming, actually a lot of cool stuff is coming, just gotta do some bugfixes and cleanups first, I have some neat stuff dry coded ;) ).
I would like to add a suggestion anyway cuz i like monkeyquest alot... and thats like a little window that pops up when clicking on a quest in the questlog.
to the left is a questlog like yours, with different colors and all, to the right is a questlog-thingy that pops up when i want more info about it and such.
You can also see that it filters some words blue. This is cuz when i enter a zone and that zone is mentioned in the questtext the quest becomes blue-marked with some blue background to let the player know that in this area you have a quest.
I dont know if im very clear on all this... my english sucks and im trying to explain something very complex :P
Heavily inspired by monkeyquest, monkeyquest's highlighting searched for subzone text in the objectives, and highlights if it finds it. Mine does the same, but it also searches for zone text IF your in a different zone.
So for example Screecher Spirits from tanaris will be highlighted when your in feralas, because it says go to feralas.

Looks very nice!! Can we color the quest tracker background and the frame?
You can, but you'll need to change the transparency when you do so, because it for some reason defaults to either 100% transparent or 0% :P

I have one feature request as well (taken from what FastQuest can):
Please let us strg + leftclick on q quest log entry to post the
current quest status to the actual channel.
In the todo list, it's gonna use active channel (so you'll have to click enter first, and it'll paste it in the chat box), and it'll be single line not multiline (same format as QuestsFu uses).
Haven't been any updates lately because I'm working on modularizing things, so I don't wanna do too much work on the old code. I can't get too much work done before Kemayo agree's on a proper api though ;)
Suggestion: Be able to set the position of the tooltip that shows the quest I'm hovering, currently it displays over the questlog and I'd like to set it to display next to the questlog.

I swore I looked when playing yesterday and didn't see a way but today it smacked me right in the face.
Thanks.
I could actually use some help on where people would find it logical to find settings. And what settings are redundant :P, I wanna trim en down eventually, just putting as much as possible in there in early testing :)
Just an idea, but possibly sync with other users of the addon with the party addon channel so you can see who has the quest or not even if they're out of range?

I've considered looking into that, but I didn't want to add it because it's inconsitent. Better people know they have to be in range, than it sometimes working and sometimes not (for example when people dont use the same quest library as me).

It's in very early development at this point, so I'm letting those that stumble onto it be my beta testers ;)
Also very open for bugreports/suggestions, you can check the todo list on the top of core.lua to see what I'm currently planning :)
//edit, and for those looking at this thread, there's a screenshot from an older beta up here : http://hollowtube.mine.nu/interface/nQuestLog/info.html
i've been looking for a replacement to uberquest for months now.
if nQL has a dual-pane design i think i'd be very happy :P

EDIT: been talking to neuron, need to set the transparency for the zone color and it should be ok ;)

Thanks for the quick response. :)
Is that right?

Read more about monkeyquest here:

So for example you have a quest like:
"[35] Extinguish the battle bees" *g*
with "Kill 25 of the nasty battle bees..."
then a strg + leftclick should post something like:
[35] Extinguish the battle bees
13/25 battle bees slain
to the current channel (depending on if you're in a
group, raid or solo).
That'll be very nice :)

You can set it ;), it's in the settings.
Thanks.
