I can't reproduce the above error. What is the quest level and name that triggers this for you? I tested with about 30 different quests, many with quest series like the one that errored for you, so I need to know which quest it was. Once I know the quest, I'll look at LightHeaded's data and see if there is invalid data there for which I need to write some additional error handling. Thanks!

It's any and all quests. The first quest I click on, thats what happens, it doesnt bring up Panel #2, but when I reclick, I don't get the error, but still only get panel #1. I have no idea how to recreate the problem so that you can see it, I only know that it happens the first time I click a quest in nQuestLog and then it doesn't happen again until I relog.
Update: I updated Mirage_UI compilation and now it works fine for me. I have no idea what was causing it.
my problem is the same as pinner, first click brings up that error and no second panel, and then you never get the panel again nor the error until you relog. i'm using a rework of the spartan ui so i'm not sure what to update to fix it :/ i just got the wow ace updater last night and updated my files and that's when it started malfunctioning.

As it turns out, I've just clicked it again (about four hours after my last post), and it's done it again. Same error as before. It works the same way as before, one click, boom error. I can't find any other ways to reproduce it.

If you're willing to test it, I can upload a special Comments.lua file to gather more information and hopefully determine the cause of this when it happens. It won't bother you unless it encounters that error, and then it will dump information to the chat window. There really isn't any other way I can help you, as the error reported doesn't give me enough information to determine the *true* cause of the problem, especially since I cannot reproduce this. I'll upload the debug file and let you know where to put it within the next 6-10 hours.
In the meantime, you can always disable all other addons besides nQuestLog and LightHeaded and then see if the problem still occurs (or do the opposite and disable groups of addons until the problem is gone). This should help you isolate what addon is causing the problem, assuming it is an addon conflict.
I have to confess that I haven't read all 40+ pages of this thread so if I'm suggesting something that someone else already suggested my apologies. :)
One thing that would make it even more useful for me is to have something similar to the zone headers but instead of a zone the header would be for "daily" quests. I'm not sure how much work that would take or if its even doable but maybe if it is it could be added to conQuest at some point.

...or not. Sorry, worked late and went straight to bed when I got home. Should be able to get this out there tonight or some time this weekend. Thank God it's Friday!

Thanks for the suggestion. I've never actually done any dailies myself (highest level character was level 51, haha), but I'm sure I could look at the code for some other addons that show dailies and figure it out. I'll add this to the feature list for conQuest. :)

Quag, I'm more than willing to give that a shot. I don't mind testing things if it means that I can help solve a bug. :)
Just let me know where the file is when you get it uploaded and I'll begin the process.

You know, I switched to nQuest some time ago when Quest_Fu was having some issues where its minion would resize itself randomly, and then lose all its resizable functionality thereafter.
Since then, I've really come to love this addon. Honestly, aside from the daily suggestion a post or two above this one, I wouldn't change a thing about it as I find it to work flawlessly in its current state.
So, I'm just dropping a post in this thread to show my appreciation to a fine addon; kudos to you, Quagmire.

Ok, here's the Comments.lua file to use for testing. Just place it at the following location, and rename the old one Comments.lua.bak, or something like that.

I was doing the quest for my swift flight form and started getting the problems above. The pic shows the text from the comments.lua
Thanks! This gave me the info I needed, and it was indeed a data problem from Wowhead. For those quests, no level is defined (see http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10991 to see what I mean). I can't believe that no one has ever reported this happening up until now (I guess that says a lot about how good Wowhead's data is!). Anyway, I've added additional error-handling so nQuestLog's Comments frame won't freak out if no level is defined for a quest. Let me know if you run into any other problems. Thanks.
Is there a way in nQuestLog to have it annouce quests or should I just use the QuestAnnouncer mod for that function?
Also, is there a way to display if other folks in your party have the same quest you do (like the little 1 etc in the normal ui)? I noticed I could see the info in the popup if I mouse over the quest but just wondered if there is something in the config I am missing to have it display.
I too would love to see a daily filter... I did 24 or 25 daily quests yesterday... yikes! never thought I would get even close to 25. And that was witout doing any of the instance dailies.

Great Mod! Thanks!
I'm wondering this as well. Basically, some time ago (I'd quit for a few months recently) when I'd be in a party and questing with a friend, whenever I'd pick up a quest item a notification would be sent in party chat so everyone was aware of my status; ie, "[party]Frankie: [random quest item] received 1/10", or something along those lines if not quite verbatim.
Was this nQuest doing this, or perhaps another addon? Quite honestly, I don't ever recall having an additional addon which sent my quest status through party chat, but at the same time, I rather liked the feature.
Anyway, if this was nQuest, how does one go about enabling / disabling the feature? And, if it wasn't nQuest, well then I'm at a loss for which addon I had doing it, because I have no idea otherwise. :P
I did, and I updated nquestlog.

Something like:
Blades edge
- quest
- quest
- quest
Netherstorm
- quest
- quest
- quest
Daily
- quest
- quest
Thanks again for a great mod!

<WoW install folder>\Interface\Addons\nQuestLog\modules\Comments\Comments.lua
It'll output the following when it runs into the error that was posted a few posts up:
Avoided an error: Badly formatted level from LightHeaded.
Level provided was: <level>
Quest name was: <quest>
I just need the level and quest that it outputs so I can look at LightHeaded's data and see if something is wrong. Thanks.
Thanks :)

Regardless, once again, great addon Quagmire.
I once thought nQL did it, but I never found it in the nQL menus.
