Hi adirelle.
I tried your bag mod recently, I like it a lot. I was using baggins since a long time, but I wanted to try other bag mods with wow4.0. there are some really smart ideas in yours. Thx for your time.
sometime, sections doesnt seems to "spread" like they should, this probably could be optimized
I have 2 requests:
-the ability to free-move bag/bank without that anchor system
-the possibility to show/hide section content by clicking on its title
After using this for few days, i can say: amazing ^^
few issues, requests and bugs (i will try to explain with my frenchy english ;) )
see screenshot for reference.
1: this bugs occurs sometimes. So far how to reproduce it:
this item is set in a personal filter, and this section is actually hidden (in the V, menu) and i already have some occurence of it (so they are logically hidden). When i loot a new occurence of this item, the whole stack comes naturally in the "new" section, but when and I click on the N button, it doesnt seem to know where to go.
2: when an item is moved in the bank (or sold), the room stay unused, that a good thing, but, this should also activate the "T" button, so we can re-order the bag without having to close and reopen it.
3: some names are missaligned sometimes (the ability to set the font size could be cool too)
4: just an eye candy thing: in free move, this little square comes when the bag is moved.
5: in the personnal filter, that could be better to have the "new association" section at the top of the windows. actually we have to completly scroll down the list to find it
6: small request: to add a "close" function in the "V" list: something the panel remains open with no way to close it.

This is a unexplained feature: this is the anchor of the bag. If it is a the right bottom corner, it means the bag is anchored to the bottom right corner of the screen and will expand toward top and left. It will keep its distance from right and bottom sides when changing resolution. If you move the bag towards the other side of the screen, it will anchor accordingly.

First off, I love this bag mod. Virtual stacks and the tidy features are both awesome. I've been using this addon for a few days while questing and have a few thoughts and ideas.
Make grays not indicate as new. Nobody cares about new grays. I already made the junk filter higher priority than New (this should probably be default), but it still makes them shine. Maybe an option per filter to not track as new.
Hearthstone is not junk. Poor Hearthstone. Maybe a Hearth category that includes the different ranks of Scroll of Recall.
Make all the open space of the window dragable and not just the title. This will make it easier when the window is larger than the bounds of the users screen. You could make it so the window cant grow larger than the screen, and has a scrollbar within itself.
I know I had other things... but I'll think of em later.
Not to completely burst your bubble, vbaspcppguy, but I could see a lot of people caring for grey items, especially if they do not have some kind of auto-vendor addon. Makes finding all those greys easy when you are manually selling to the vendor.
True about the Hearthstone, but that's Blizzard, not AdiBags. AdiBags uses Blizzard's auction house major and subcategories for its filters, and according to the AH, a Hearthstone is junk. You have three options regarding Hearthstones: leave the filter alone in AdiBags; make your own filter for them (I did); or inform Blizzard they have a long-standing itemization bug.
I'll leave the rest of your suggestions to Adirelle.
Yeah, to sell them. Then they are in the junk area. But who cares when they have a NEW grey?
The more I use the addon the more I find I would like an option per filter to not track as new. For example, using outfitter to deposit\withdraw gearsets. I'd make my outfitter filters not track as new. Cause they aren't new.
Ah, I'll have to figure out how to do that for my poor Hearthstone.
Open AdiBags ( /adibags config ) -- for those who don't know
Open the Filters [+] and select Manual Filtering
Browse all the way to the bottom(!)
In the first input, shift-click your Hearthstone, then click OK
The middle one should be named Hearthstone, then click OK
Select a type from the drop down on the right (I selected Miscellaneous)
This process is the same for everything you think the AH filters are wonky. Hey Adirelle, I know it has been suggested to move the filter inputs to the top so you don't have to scroll down in order to add a new item. I would further like to add that the first input be able to match strings. For example, the AH categories think some inks are "Parts" and other inks are Inscription supplies. There doesn't seem to be consistency on Blizzard's side of things.
So, instead of shift-clicking each individual ink (imagine if ores or herbs were messed up) you typed "ink" into the first field and then it grabbed all matching items with "ink" and put them into whatever category.
The same could be done for "Pilgrim's" or "Mask", etc.
Nice work on this addon. It makes things so much easier to find. I just found this in my BugSack using version 1.2-beta-1 and thought I would pass it on. Cheers. :)

If you go into the settings > Filters > Junk > Priority and change this to 100% junk wont appear in the new section any more. It will still be highlighted though.
I don't want to hack my own addon. I'd prefer doing my own, proper implementation but this would require a lot of internal reworking, starting by creating an abstraction layer and throwing out and rewriting most of button and container handling code.
A function to "compress" the stacks inside the real bags would be nice (meaning fill the bag with lowest id until it's full) so you can replace normal bags with profession bags.
I finally added a function to empty a bag: just right-click on its slot. Note the process can take some time, can't be stopped and right now there is no visual feedback. This is available in latest alpha.

Once you selected the position mode "manual", you can move the bags using their title.
Won't happen but you can use the [V]isible button in the top right corner to list the section and hide them.
aaah didnt saw that^^
i guess its perfect then
thx again
just a very minor thing: Is it possible to hide the [V] button?
I am not using this functionality at all.

Already reported.
Good idea.
I can't control exactly how the text is rendered. I'll think about the size.

Shouldn't be too hard to change.
Easy too.
I'm quite busy on other addons right now but I'll take a look when possible.

GBS is a hack I know, but it seems to be doable

No yet. I'll think about it.
