There is a "Delete" submenu 0.5cm away from the list of names of all the alts.
As I have nearly the maximum amount of characters allowed, the list is too long for me to see all the names and it doesn't scroll for me. (This may be because I use a Mac, but I am unsure.) Would it be possible to put access to the controls in the interface addons list? That is the only way I can control the character list on "AllPlayed" as well.
It would take some work to add submenus if it exceeds a certain length of number of menuitems (like how the friends/guild list already does), and more than just some amount of work to make scrolling menus - this would more than double the size of the addon.
You currently have 2 workarounds:
A) Make your UI Scale REALLY SMALL (find the UI scale slider in the default UI options), so the menu fits your screen.
B) Edit SavedVariables\Postal.lua in your WTF\Account\(Account)\ folder.
This is a suggestion for the WoW Postal add-on. It would be nice if one could specify a specific item and have the add-on search through all the mail folders (including those hidden in a full mailbox) and move any items found to available bag slots. This would simplify managing items for selling in the auction house or storing in the bank. I hope someone with the skills can make such a modification, or start an add-on with this functionality.
... search through all the mail folders (including those hidden in a full mailbox) ...
As far as I'm aware, there is no way to access those hidden mails until you have freed up space in your mailbox and waited the appropriate amount of time for the server to move them into the empty slots. You can tell that there are hidden mails, and you can tell how many there are, but you can't get any more details about them or do anything with them while they remain hidden.

Something I added to my Postal was a little tweak so that I could see who was the buyer/seller of auction house mails. Change is to OpenAll.lua where it outputs the message to get the invoice details for AHSuccess (i.e. player is seller) and AHWon (player is buyer) and print that in the chat message. (Part of the -- Print message on next mail section). Uses Postal's internal mailType variable to identify messages for which the standard API function is valid.
if (mailType == "AHSuccess" or mailType == "AHWon") then
local invoiceType, itemName, playerName, bid, buyout, deposit, consignment = GetInboxInvoiceInfo(mailIndex)
Postal:Print(format("%s %d: %s%s (%s)", L["Processing Message"], mailIndex, msgSubject or "", moneyString,playerName))
Postal:Print(format("%s %d: %s%s", L["Processing Message"], mailIndex, msgSubject or "", moneyString))
Might be useful for someone else. Quite good fun to see repeat customers.
Is it possible to get a listing or print out from Carbon Copy to also show what items are in the mail?
Right now, Carbon Copy will output everything that was said in a mail, list the sender, date and time so you can easily copy and paste it. Is there a way to also have it show what items they sent? For example, I would like to copy and paste (or export to txt or xls) that Johnny sent me 120 Ghost Iron Ore. Is this at all possible?
Would it be possible for the devs to code in an Outbox of some sort that maybe uses Carbon Copy or some sort of history to display sent mail.. It could show a copy of the mail sent, who it was sent to, how much postage cost, what was attached, whether it was C.O.D or not, etc etc... I'm surprised there aren't many... if ANY AddOns that even do this yet... definately needed though!
Open All works fine for me, as do the rest of Postal's features. Try completely removing Postal from your AddOns folder and downloading a fresh copy by hand.
If the problem still happens, try logging in with only Postal enabled.
If the problem is gone, enable your other addons one at a time until the problem comes back, then disable everything except Postal and the last other addon you enabled, make sure the problem still happens, and post bug reports for both addons about the conflict.
If the problem still happens when Postal is the only addon enabled, try resetting your Postal settings (the fastest method is probably to type "/run Postal3DB = nil" and reload your UI), and if the problem still exists after that, post a bug report on the Postal project page.
