I second that, please add a fade out option when you got time. Great addon btw, just switched from BT3. Just a question though, how is BT4 compared to BT3 when it comes to cpu usage/performance?
Just my guess but since it's rewritten and newer I'm guessing it would perform better.
Oh, another thing I find I'm missing is a bag bar. I hope one's on the way! I use Baggins and I don't think there's any way to switch out inventory bags otherwise. I used to keep BT3's bag bar hidden and then show it only when I needed to switch a bag.
I'll second Kerecha's wish for a master setting!
Maybe nag on Baggins authors to add an option to show some sort of bag management bar to be able to swap bags (i dun need it since all my bags are 20 slotters aleady :p )
i don't know if it will make the performance hog. but i like a feature from bongos. when i active a spell what make a buff like sprint, evasion, drums of battle. the buttons glow green as long they are active.. perhaps this can be implemented?
Although I didn't know Bongos had this feature, it sounds... well, cool. I support Bartender4 having something similar, if only to play around with :)

I opened a feature request for buff and debuff highlighting in Bartender3 a while ago. If it's something users happen to want in their bar mod, I recommend either Bongos 3 or Trinity 2 as they both have this now. As Bartender 4 is still in the process of being written, who knows what kind of kool stuff the author may come up with! :P

Point however my bar mods have always handled this so it's never been an issue. I'm coming back after a hiatus and playing new characters so I'm doing the bag dance again.
Thx for all the hardwork, can't wait for the fade until mouseover though. Probably the only thing holding me back from switching from bt3 atm since I use the hidden bars to hold my raid macros/quest items that I have to constantly pull out and swap out onto my main bar depending on the situation.

I switched to Bartender4 and ButtonFacade and it was very easy to setup ( only missed alignment functions a bit but they will come :) ). I have one thing now that I dont like and I wonder if it can be changed somehow. The borders of my trinket buttons are green, I would like to change that.
i have 2 small bag feature request (don't know if the are possible to implement):
* an Option to open all bags if the main bag is opened (e.g. at the bank / mail / vendor) like bags_and_merchants does
* an option to scale bags to a smaller size - so they don't take up all screen space

That isn't really sopmething that should be handled by bartender.
You should look for a bag addon (baggins/arkinventory or similar).

You'd either have to delete that line from the lua or a very easy way to get rid of it (you'd have to redo it everytime you update, though) is to go to the "Textures" folder delete "Equip.tga" make a copy of "Normal.tga" and rename it to "Equip.tga". That should work :)

Hit escape go to keybindings and keybind "Open all bags" or use a bag addon such as OneBag :P
Sorry for the late reply, was still getting the no-multiple-modifiers thing last night with the copy of BT4 I had installed, but I updated this morning and deleted BT4's & BT3's saved variables files and it's fine now. Thanks!
Would it be possible to add an option to the paging options to disable the mouse wheel paging? I'd still like to be able to use ctrl, alt, & shift to select different different pages. Somehow I almost always change my main bar's pages when I am using the shift page. Thanks!! =)

It's listed on the 1st post of this thread under the "Planned Features" section.

Doh! Yeah, should have looked there first. Trying to remember stuff at my age is fatal.
Have you tried autobar to handle the quest items?
1. Is it Ace3-based, or does it use some framework like Ace2?
2. The bag bar is essential to me because Baggins doesn't provide an equivalent either. Is there a standalong bag bar addon out there?
Yes, it's ACE3.
Not possible yet. But the feature to hide macro and hotkey text is coming soon! :)
