Asking as a user and not a maker, so forgive how ignorant this sounds, but what's the difference between hosting a project on wowace and curseforge?
In the past I've assumed it was the same source, and just a different skin.
Wowace is the older site and is missing some features like being able to manually upload files instead of going through the packager. Phanx moved Grid over to Curseforge so we can manually upload now. The 7.0.3.1 beta was uploaded manually (built with a non-Curse packager) and contains fixes for a number of tickets, but I haven't had a chance to test it extensively yet to mark it as release and verify that the issues are actually fixed.

Actually thats intentional, and not a missing feature. CurseForge and WoWAce are practically the same website (different skin, mind you), just that WoWAce enforces using the packager.
Hey just FYI the black lines that go around the edges of the grid frames dissapear when the frames are moved, and no matter where I put the frames they are either missing black lines or the aggro border doesnt work properly
Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to ask so forgive me if not but when I add a new buff (in this case Spring Blossom or Cultivation) to one of the side indicators using the GridIndicatorExtra Plugin, it also shows the buff in the center where the Raid Debuffs are, regardless of whether or not I turn the Raid Debuffs off and was wondering if I'm doing something wrong. No other buffs are shown there and I only recently tried adding these 2 new buffs.

Please read this page, and if you're still having the problem, open a bug ticket (link on that page) with a screenshot so we can look into it further.

Check your settings for the Center Icon indicator. If the buffs are checked there, uncheck them. If they're not checked there, see if the problem still happens when you disable GridIndicatorExtra (and any other third-party plugins). If it doesn't still happen, you'll need to contact the plugin's author for further help, as we didn't write the plugin and can't provide any support for it.
If it does happen with no plugins enabled -- your Spring Blossom buff status still appears on the Center Icon indicator even though it's NOT checked under Grid > Indicators > Center Icon -- please follow these instructions, starting with #4, and open a bug ticket so we can look into it further.
Hi. I'm having a problem with the range indicator. The frame alpha is lowering once a target reaches 60 yards away rather than 40 yards, and the problem is only happening on my Holy Paladin. I can only assume that the range indicator is using the range of Beacon of Light as a check rather than my other heals. Any solution?
Grid doesn't use specific spells to check range. It just uses the game's built-in "is this unit in range" API, and lets the game decide what "in range" means; the default compact raid frames use the same API. Unfortunately, if the game is using an incorrect definition of "in range" for your class, there's not much Grid can do about it.
To double check that this is the problem, run this command:
/dump UnitInRange("target")
(If you haven't used any script commands since the 7.0 patch, an annoying dialog box will pop up reminding you that unknown scripts from strangers could be dangerous; click OK and run the command again.)
If it prints "true" into your chat frame, the game considers your target "in range". If you're seeing Grid mark units as out of range, but the above command prints "true" when you target that unit, please post a bug ticket with more details about the circumstances.
I'm having an issue with grid spamming about the layout change since the patch 7.0.3. It was really bad in Kazzak run because people were joining and leaving left and right.
I have a question regarding the old 25man display of Grid. I have used this with the old WoD release version of Grid and it worked well. Since the first Legion pre patch came along, it does not work anymore.
I only want to show 25 players and not 40(sorted by group or something). Is it possible to bring back a function for it? Or is it still there and i dont found?
Adding back the manual option is on the to-do list (I will work on it more this weekend, but I probably won't finish).
When Grid is configured to show ByGroup it will only show background for the number of groups based on the largest group number with a player in it (if there is a players in group 7, it will show 7 groups). If you have show pets configured there will be a background for a pet group whether there are any pets or not (this is required in case a pet is summoned in combat). You can configure Grid to hide groups with offline players and groups with players in the wrong zone (if you have groups that sit out).
If you have a 25-man raid with 25 people in it, Grid should be showing 5 groups or 6+ if you have show pets enabled. If that is not what is happening, then you should file a ticket with screen shots (including of your layout configuration).
Since the last patch I can no longer see status on debuff stacks for players in my raid. I can still add and drop any debuff but it used to be green for 1 stack yellow for 2 and red for 3. now I no longer see the option in grid... was this removed do to a coding confliction or something?! My RL suggested I jump into elvui for frames but ((I LIKE GRID BEEN USING IT FOR YEARS)) and it seems stupid to DL a whole UI just for Raid Frames...UGH!
Nothing related to aura stacking has been changed. If you can't see the options, you need to check "Show advanced options" under Grid > Auras. These options are hidden by default, since most players don't need them, and they can be confusing to new users.
If you use the "By Group" layout then you should be shown first (within your group, which in a party/arena is the only group) since that's sorted by index, and the player is (effectively) index 0, while other party members start from 1. If you use some other layout, there's no (practical) way to make yourself shown ahead of everyone else, and there never was.
If you are using the "By Group" layout and you're not being shown first, please open a bug ticket and include a screenshot of Grid and a screenshot of the Layout configuration panel showing your current settings.

I really only need this in arena as it makes my macros a little more organized
