I don't know if it works still or not, but I've had this bookmarked for awhile:

can someone tell me how to get the borders around the individual bars? I have the borders module enabled, and I have enabled borders under the frame settings, but nothing ever shows up on the bars.

are these separate panels anchored underneath with another panel making addon?

You're going to have to use kgPanels or something similar to get those borders. It also doesn't appear that the picture is displaying just the unitframe. I'm thinking there's a castbar and maybe a ToT thrown in there as well.

Hi all. Thnx for a great addon!

Basically what I'm trying to achieve is a pitbull layout with a similar look to this one:

One of the nicest pitbull layouts I've seen

-- Is it possible to separate the different bars as in picture?
-- Can I adjust their size individually?

-- Also, I tried positioning my mana bar to the left of the health bar. After I did this I could no longer position any text to the right of the health bar? That positioning option was not available again until I placed my mana bar back to center. Any ideas why it acts like that?

Kind of wondering how to recreate this myself.

Edit: What I'd most like to know is what font that is.

    Hi!
Maybe u could show me good way to create one profil.
all my units have differents layout, some have special text like class and other dont have...
so i create in first one new layout name player, and choose what modules and make change for this unit..

so second create one newer for target named target and go back choose what modules i need for this unit and make change .

of course, it seems works but i am not sure it's the good way because what is usage for layout 'normal' so ?

I'm not trying to be an ass (or am I?) by saying this but, maybe you should wait until it's released to the public before you try and use PB4 as your main unit frame addon. Chances are once it's released it will have plenty of documentation to illustrate how to do things.

Yes, Google is warning people, and then Firefox kinda blocks it, which is annoying ... ><

Damn them both for trying to keep people away from sites that have a long history of problems.

Yeah, he made one post in the Aloft thread a month or so ago, and I sent him a PM asking if he was actually back, but that's been the extent of it. I started working on the healing module a while back, but I just don't have the time either. Maybe once I get all of my characters to 80, my fishing to 450, my rep to Exalted with everyone, my Loremaster acheivements done, and a million other things... oh, and win the lottery so I don't have to go to work. :p

For the sake of Assessment, here's to hoping that all works out.

I also thought it would be a great idea to add a donation link that pooled together the money that was donated and then shipped it off the the addon sites. The amounts sent to the sites would be based on which site had the most data pulled from.

Obviously it wouldn't generate that much money for the addon sites, but it's still a huge banner saying "Look, we make no money off this application and we're trying to get you some money to make up for the bandwidth we're leeching!".

Clearly the application would need to gather usage statistics so the author knew which sites got data pulled from them the most, but it's possible.

I'm working on something similar and it's how I'm doing it.

Why not host the XML "database" file on a website and have users pull from there? That way you don't need to release a new version for everyone to have the supported addons.

Mono doesn't support .NET 2.0 properly, iirc

The Mono API today is somewhere in between .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.5 see our Roadmap for details about what is implemented.

Another cross-site updater? I suggest you read the threads here on wowace and on wowi detailing the problems with such updaters.

Only way to do such a thing until the sites you mentioned release some kind of API (which is, imo, a great idea. I'd subscribe to any and all if this was a benefit).

So yet another updater that every few months will have to tweak the way it gets addons because WoWI or Curse or wowace will change formats slightly. And for that brief time with a partially working update the world will seem to end for your users. :P

If (s)he does it right the user won't have to even worry about it.

Give http://files.wowace.com and WowAceUpdater back please, if you cant fix the CurseClient. IMO the CurseClient should have been finished, debugged and heavily tested a long time before someone pulls the carpet away from under your legs.

This should not be done. Yes they were great, yes they did a far better job than the current tools we have, but if they put them back up they would be doing two things:

    1) Going back to the problems they had before, and;
    2) Showing that they have no intent on fixing things if it gets hairy when they can just revert back to what worked.

I'm all for using the new CC, after it's no longer a piece of crap.

We WILL get to where we need. I'm sorry so many of you feel this is a backstep from where we've been. We will get back there, and we will exceed it. I promise.

Not about "feeling it's a backstep", it is a back step.
