WoW Lua doesn't allow any interaction with the base operating system (and this is a good thing). Your best bet is to try one of programs yoshimo recommended.
Perhaps I'm being a bit dense here, but how do you enable the adapters? I've got the latest versions of ClosetGnome, Combuctor, and LibFilter installed and I don't see any new tabs in combuctor.
The new API looks great. I just wanted to let you know that I've already written a ClosetGnome set filter using the current api and I'm looking forward to creating more with the new api.
FuBar support is gone and is not coming back. The new version of LoggerHead has a LibDataBroker Plugin. If you want to see an icon there is more info about LibDataBroker and its associated add-ons here: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?board=68.0
For those who can't bear to live without FuBar support, download an older version from here: http://files.wowace.com/LoggerHead. The older versions are functionally identical to the new version.
Ok, I've downloaded RBM and XLoot and I'm having zero problems running them with LoggerHead. I grabbed the embedded version of each and ran just those three mods. If you are having problems, give that a try and report here. Thanks.
Edited to Add: I'm changing the slash command to /lgh in the next release to avoid the LightHeaded conflict.

The prompting issue should be fixed in the latest alpha.

It always worked fine for me. I'll double-check the newest version as I haven't been there is quite a while.

I don't use Broker2FuBar, but I'll take a look and make sure that my LDB interface is up to spec.
