I've attempted to use the curseforge localiser instead, however that also fails. I've raised a ticket:

    Hi

I have been given the traditional chinese translation for one of my projects:
    http://war.curseforge.com/projects/nlootlink/tickets/5-traditional-chinese-translation/

The file is correctly formatted i.e. UTF-16 little endian with CRLF newlines

.lua files must have an svn:eol-style property set. When I try to set it to native, I get the error message:

svn: File 'C:\war\interface\addons\nLootLink\locale\zhTW.lua' has inconsistent newlines
    Inconsistent line ending style

I've tried changing it to UNIX newlines (LF only) and setting svn:eol-stype to LF, but I get the same thing.

    Quote from Allara
If such a thing were to run on my current setup, Pitbull would have to switch into one of it's config modes (and which mode would it choose?).

This was a big problem for NShakedown - I eventually included a "hidden option" i.e. users edit the SV to set a variable, whereby they specified party or raid config mode.

It is not a problem if the config mode is nonintrusive, however pitbull raid config took a fuck of a long time to come up.

To be clear: I NEVER intended for config option windows to pop up. Having 50 addons pop out their config windows is utterly useless.

It's not about configuration, it's about display and movement. NShakedown specifically did only this; all author-submissions were responsible with this - they did nothing else. I reckon you can trust them to continue that.

While this is a great idea on principle, I fear that the implementation can have "undesired" implications. Since this is supposed to be open, "config mode" can be interpreted and implemented in many different ways from authors, which can lead to stuff popping up that the user potentially doesn't want (or need) to be configured at that point. For instance let's say that a user enables this and he has his unitframe addon, bar addon, various frame addons going into config mode, at which point those addons may decide to show up frames that the user has elected to hide, which can lead to stuff overlapping, while in reality this won't happen etc. Depending on what it is used, it can actually be more confusing and cumbersome than helpful. I'm not saying it can't be done, merely saying that unless you apply some basic rules and principles, it can just as easily backfire. "Standardize" is indeed a very scary word, mainly because you have to convince people to see your point of view :p

I'm with Elsia on this one, I believe that most people would be more interested in a way to auto-copy/populate all configuration options from one character to another, at least that is my viewpoint on this.

NShakedown was controllable and predictable. I see your point - things could get out of hand with all sorts of unnecessary things being done on show.

If you want copying of configs, you might be able to use this:

    Seerah pointed me at http://www.wowace.com/projects/nshakedown/

It kinda does this already, but only for addons it knows about (it hardcodes calls into them). nShakedown would be one very obvious place to do these callouts from.

I've abandoned wow for war... I haven't even installed wow 3.0...

If you want to take over NShakedown / hack it up / use the OO parts as a skeleton for this, you're most welcome to it.

NShakedown turned into a maintenance nightmare - only about 30% of the addons were done by the respective authors, the rest were done by me, and often broke during updates.

If this enablement code is built into the addons, NShakedown would be much simpler and easier - just build a list of addons that support these methods and call them.

are they buffs which appear on you?

Yes. They appear on me and have timers, however they are auras applied by other party members.

I'm using ClassTimer, with external libraries, as a priest.

I use it to show self buffs, such as Mojo Madness, Destruction Potion, Spirit Tap etc.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to show Bloodlust or Spell Haste (drums of battle). I've added buffs of those names to the custom section, however they just don't show.

    My SV file is attached.

Ok you just spoke Greek to me, lol. Like Ace 3 or something of that nature?
I had done that before actually on a totally different account and Nbuffbars didn't show up at all on Fubar.

I'm all out of ideas. I don't know enough about your setup or the specifics of your problem.

My final suggestion is to quit WoW, rename your Interface and WTF folders, then install just FuBar and NBuffBars. Once they are going, start installing other addons one at a time, to determine which one is the problem one.

When I did the "Enable all" it popped up, hooray! So I tried turning off certain mods for certain toons and it disappeared again, so after some thinking about the "one" toon that it was showing up for I remembered that there was one mod that it used that my others don't.......GRID. Sure enough when I enabled Grid, Nbuffbars popped back up on my Fubar. Not that I want Grid on for my other toons, but I might just so I can use this buff mod, lol. If you have suggestions on how I can use it without having GRID on I welcome them, thank you so much for your help Nemes!!!

I'm quite stumped here, NBuffBars has no dependency on Grid. Are you running embedded or external libraries?

I'd like to suggest an incremental approach: enable nothing but FuBar and NBuffBars and see if they both load OK. If they do, please enable one AddOn at a time and determine which one might be problematic.

On all but one of my toons the program isn't even running, totally confused on that one! I even tried another account turning off all mods with the exception of Fubar 3.0 and Nbuffbars and nothing. /scratches head

Perhaps the addons are disabled for certain toons. Please go to the addons screen (off character selection), then enable all addons for all toons.

If that fails, I'm going to suggest the Blizzard solution of quitting WoW, renaming (don't ever, ever delete) your WTF folder and starting again.

Thank you so much for the information! The problem is I download the mod, it is checked on the addons page for my buffing toons, but when I click my Fubar to set it up it doesn't show it there at all. HELP plz! I found this to be my most favorite of buffing mods and really want to figure out how to get it to work again. Seems like after the last big patch that is when it just up and disappeared off my Fubar and no matter how many updates I have downloaded Fubar still doesn't acknowledge it in my addons.

I'm assuming you're using FuBar 3.0, with the Rock menu, if you've updated recently.

Please right click on the empty space on FuBar and see if it appears in the buffs addons dropdown. If it does, tick it.

If you're still not seeing it, please type /nbb to see if the addon is even running.

I abandoned it, however dusted it off when I joined my current guild and found a whole bunch of people using it. It's 2.4ified and still needs work, however it's functional and still a "working project".

To show the bars, left click on the fubar/minimap icon, or press the key bound to show/hide NBuffBars. If it's somehow off screen, reset the position from the menu.

I'm having problems in battlegrounds - the textures for target/target's target/ttt's frame are getting "stuck" and don't disappear when you change or drop targets. It seems there's a resource leak somewhere.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Edit: this is caused by PitBull_Brutallus. Removing it stops the issue.

There are already many addons of this type for unitframes like Grid_QuickHealth, Pitbull_QuickHealth, ...

    Thanks Elbereth. Closed the issue.
