I took Grid with me on our weekly MC dash.

It worked very well, and was very usable and useful. I did not notice any bugs (except an error message upon connecting, which I duly failed to jot down :-p)

So definitely, congrats on a very well thought-out and executed job... Grid is going to become a standard tool for all healers. WoWorld domination to follow :-)

If I may give my $0.02, the area that I find most improvable is the UI. I know it's a lot of unsexy work, but I would really love to see one or two things:

    - minimally, a big (9 or 16 times normal size ? ) "example" frame, that displays a reminder of which indicators show where, in which color, with which priority. We want the OOZE (out of Zip experience :-p) to be as smooth as possible, and I for one kept forgetting what corner in what color meant what. I know, I'm dumb ... but not more so than most of my guildmates :-p

    - Ideally, that same example frame could be used to direcly add/remove/edit indicators via drop-down menus, including color and priority options: a list of existing indicators for each available slot, with priority, color, 'edit', 'remove', and a 'new' button at the bottom of the list ? Color first of each line, probably ?

    - Is there a way to set an indicator for when the priest 'inspiration' talent (+25% armor for 15s on a heal target if heal crits) procs ?

    - Is there a way to share config files with other users ? I know for a fact some users will NOT work out how to configure Grid (believe me, I'm the one holding their hands through configuring CTraid and Teamspeak :-p). I'd love to be able to send them my config as a starting point, which they could if they so wish modify later on.

Thanks a whole lot and congratulations for your work. I'm impressed by all you guys editing .luas and all :-) don't those bite sometimes ?

Actually you could configure different click actions for each button you have on your screen, so technically this should be possible - but I guess it rather belongs to a click-casting addon.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but if that's handled through an add-on, it means i've got to left-click to select target, and the "other"-click to cast, whereas if Grid handles it directly, just left-clicking on a target in Grid could launch a spell or, even better, a macro ?, and "other" clicking on a target in grid could also launch different spells / macros, without having to left-clic first to select ? So, that's half the clicking as compared to the Grid+Clique solution ?

You would run into the same setup problem for the Clic actions that Clique so nicely solves. I think clic setup needs to be class-based, with exceptions for MTs and OTs.

Thinking about it, could the MTs and OTs be displayed in a special, fixed spot in Grid ? we need to be able to find them super-quickly. At least, can we be sure they'll always be listed as the first few Grid items ? And we need the MTs and OTs to be hand-defined... more "my main cares" than "the warriors", actually, since different healers have different focuses ?

Hi again and again ... :-p

Can we configure one or several default actions that proc when right-clicking a Grid element ?

i.e., right-clicking on a warrior icon will cast long heal lvl 1 (i've maxed out my priest's +heal bonus, so i'm an "lvl 1" healer :-p), right-clicking on a mage will cast flash lvl 1 (or shield, for our disc-specced colleagues). I'm unclear if that kind of action is more Clique stuff, or could be done directly in Grid. I realize it would be just ONE specific heal per click type (could different heals for shift, ctrl, alt-clic be implemented ? Maybe even caps-lock+clic, since that useless key is so conveniently placed ?)

Having that implemented directly in Grid sounds good to me, it means my mouse can behave one way when I'm clicking PC's figures onscreen, and a different way when I'm clicking on Grid elements... Am I making any sense ?

Hello again... more teased than ever :-p and with yet more ideas / requests (sorry)

Would it be possible to have some kind of indicator when a group heal (prayer of healing for priests) or AOE heal or decurse (new in BC for priests, name escapes me right now) is warranted ? I realize that's a special 'healer' request, and that it's probably a major pain to implement, what with the range check, heal bonus dependencies, required flash and long heal comparisons computations... but my current heal aid does that for me (with no range nor bonus check), and my 'prayer' usage as gone through the roof as a result.

By the way, if you need a non-US tester, I'm on a French one in Europe.

This looks GOOD, thanks a lot for your effort :-)

Can the squares be sorted by group or class, horizontally or vertically ? That would clarify things a bit, help when the raid is split up (nef, shazzrah...) or on trash mobs if we structure some kind of heal-by-class or heal-by-group deal, to make up for the demise of healbots :-p

Maybe be Dead squares need to be a bit more different... gray background instead of black ? crossed-out, automatically moved to the bottom and right, ... ?

I still think the border indicator could be split in several indicators. Maybe 4 would cause confusion (does that vertical bar belong to the left or right square ?), but 2 (top+left sides and bottom+right) would be legible and intuitive enough ?

One more question: why just ONE border, when there could be 4 ? My priest would like info on:
    - curable debuffs
    - HOTs in general
    - priest HOTs in particular
    - shields
    - aggro
    - incoming heals
    - priest stamina buff + future 'enhanced' one
    - priest spirit buff + future 'enhanced' one

6 place holders just don't seem enough. 9 seem to cut it.

    That sounds very good.

I think I'd prefer a character's class instead of name to be displayed in its square, by a signle capital letter, and I think for mana users, a very small column in the square should display mana, so we don't waste heals on oom mages.

Could we also have optionnal extra lines, with My Group's and My Targets' squares repeated, to help us keep an eye on the most important targets ?

Could we have a tacked-on column with spells in it, so that after selecting a target, we can heal it with a very short mouse movement ? Everyone could build his/her own spell column, with any spell/level desired ?

Anyway Grid looks very handy ... thanks a lot in advance
