    @Relbanan:
    GridStatusMTs DOES NOT change the Grid layout!

    Remember the description:
    ## Notes: Adds Blizzard, oRA2 or CT_RA MainTank icon or text (MT or MT1, MT2 ... MT10) status to Grid.

    It's just a simple text or icon status. If you want to see a small icon use it together with GridIndicatorSideIcons.
    And oRA3: I must first take a look at it.

    Right, I understood that MTs doesn't change the layout, it offers another data source. I perhaps didn't word my original question correctly - I was wondering if it were possible to set a flag similar to MAINTANK or MAINASSIST with the MTs code that would be picked up by the groupFilter.

    In any case, I have a workable solution with two separate layouts at the moment; hopefully the oRA2 group will move to oRA3 at some point and the problem will go away on its own.

    ok, this isn't ideal but works. I have two identical layouts now, one using oRA2 and one using the built-in tank ID (MAINASSIST, MAINTANK in the filter.) I can't seem to come up with an "or" situation, probably becuase I'm not LUA fluent. I assume it should be possible to modify this code bit in GridoRA2Layouts.lua to add the tanks from the built-in stuff, maybe I can swipe it from oRA3.

    --Copy non-empty elements to new table
    self:Debug("Iterating maintanktable")
    for i = 1, 10 do
    if maintanktable[i] then
    showmt = true
    table.insert(mts, maintanktable[i])
    end
    end

    --If the table was not empty, update
    if showmt then
    tanklist = table.concat(mts, ",")
    self:Debug("Set Tank List: " .. tanklist)
    end

    --Set layout nameList to new list
    GridoRA2Layouts.Layout8[1].nameList = tanklist

    I've been fiddling with the grid-ora2 interface, think that's going to work for me, thanks :)

    Looks like oR3 is not backwards compatible. I'm a guest in the raid that's using it, so it's not exactly up to me to get it shared around.

    Question regarding GridStatusMTs and oRA2 - I am using a layout that has a separate row for tanks - here's part of it, from GridLayoutLayouts.lua:

    GridLayout:AddLayout(L["By Group 40 w/tanks & pets"], {
    defaults = {
    -- nameList = "",
    -- groupFilter = "",
    -- sortMethod = "INDEX", -- or "NAME"
    -- sortDir = "ASC", -- or "DESC"
    -- strictFiltering = false,
    -- unitsPerColumn = 5, -- treated specifically to do the right thing when available
    -- maxColumns = 5, -- mandatory if unitsPerColumn is set, or defaults to 1
    -- isPetGroup = true, -- special case, not part of the Header API
    },
    [1] = {
    groupFilter = "MAINTANK,MAINASSIST",
    groupingOrder = "MAINTANK,MAINASSIST",
    },
    [2] = {
    groupFilter = "",
    },
    [3] = {
    groupFilter = "1",
    },
    ...

    If the tanks are marked as Main Tank or Main Assist via the in-game Raid window they show up in that first group as expected. If they're marked in oRA2, however, I can only identify them via the indicator set in MTs. Is it possible to have oRA2 tanks show up in my tank group? It seems like it should be doable, perhaps an additional tag in the groupFilter line?

    not possible at all, because when you use the mouse to steer you go where you are looking.

    Right, I want it to do that, but just with the camera to be at a different angle. Oh well, it was worth a try, I appreciate the replies.

    I posted this question over on the official forums, but it seems it would probably be more appropriate here.

    I would like to change the default in-flight/swimming camera angle. The default positioning of directly behind the character is a pain in the butt when trying to mouse steer, holding down both L+R mouse buttons, and still being able to see things on the ground or around my character when swimming. It would be really nice to have a slight downward view on the character, preferably a default angle of some sort that could perhaps be changed in flight by holding down the alt key?

    It makes sense that the camera needs to be in a fixed location while in a 3D environment - air or swimming - but that fixed location IMHO needs to be above the character, not directly behind.

    I program for a living, but I've never done LUA coding. Anyone know if it's possible to set the vertical camera position in-flight? Ideally it would be awesome to grab the current camera location in relation to the character as you switch to flight mode, then just set the in-flight camera to that value and allow it to be changed appropriately.

    I'm not sure where to even start looking in the code for this info.
