One thing I noticed and was pointed out by fellow guildies last night:

Some elixirs (one I remember in paticular was Elixir of Greater Agility, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9187) and flasks (Supreme Power http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13512, iirc was an example) were reporting the player as having no elixir/flask active. I'm not sure why it wasn't finding the buffs, but I ran the consumable check twice and it was incorrectly reporting on several people.

The message format for the raid announce is different, it shows what people are using because thats what my guild wanted to see when I wrote this initially. Would having the raid and whisper message format the same be a desired change?

It is helpful (and interesting at times) to be able to show if people are using elixirs or flasks; That isn't necessarily a bad feature for the addon to have.

However, sometimes it would be more desirable to simply ignore those raid members who have an elixir/flask active during a consumable check, so that the addon would only output a compact list of those people who are unbuffed with consumables. This way, instead of having to read each line for each raid member to know if they are buffed or not, we could at a glance know that "everyone on this list is unbuffed," and can just keep clicking the button until nobody's name shows up and then we know the raid is ready to go.

If you plan on continuing with the mod, another neat and probably simple feature to add would be to change what channel it sends to. That was one of the first things I looked to do after installing the mod, and after sending info to /ra a fellow guildie requested it, also. It would be nice to be able to send the list to a private channel like /o, to not clutter up /ra.

Something else to consider: Make an option to only send notifications for people who do not have flasks/elixirs/food active. If someone has two elixirs and food active, don't output a line for them.

My empty slots has disappeared. It may just not be sorting into the unsorted category I have, but I'm not sure.

It will hide the empty slot if you click on the header that says "-Empty-", so possibly try clicking the header again to see if that brings it back. Also, your empty slots will of course not show up if your bags are completely full.

I'm checking back to find out more about the split-second freezing/lag issues when opening up Baggins. I'm still getting it with the latest version, even with all other addons disabled. Is nobody else experiencing this? I'm curious to know if it is affecting everyone else who is using the current release (50235).

EDIT: I somewhat figured out what is happening... It seems to be caused by the ItemID/Name filtering I use. When I deleted my old config files, the issue was fixed.

However, I tried reconfiguring Baggins back with all the categories I like to use (separate categories for my different item sets, additional categories for the different types of tradeskill mats and consumables, etc), and after adding a few ItemID filters and extra categories I started to notice the choppiness again.

Not sure where to go form here. I'm gonna use the older version until I figure something out, as I have no issues with it other than the a UI error messages.

FortPlz: can you tell me more of exactly what you'd like to see. Keep in mind it'll never be 100% like it was. But I'm willing to make accommodations to make things more pleasant for everyone.

The main issue I have is that the new layout adds a lot of clutter, without really adding enough functionality to justify it.

For example, the extra frame on the left-hand side for the categories shows up on every page, takes up extra space and draws attention away from the main information. On some pages it even pushes the addon information off the side of the screen, so that it's necessary to scroll horizontally to move the category frame off the page and find what you're looking for. There are probably many people like me who never browse addons by category, and have no reason to have that frame on the page as an added eyesore.

Also, there's an added toolbar for hopping to any one of X pages. But jumping to a particular page really isn't helpful, because not only do we not know what's on each page until we get there, the pages won't stay the same for long as addons are added and removed from the list.

I've found that the "Show All" sort seems to work well for me, whether I'm looking for a particular addon or just browsing. Although, I'm unable to bookmark that page, so it's still an added click everytime I visit or extra step when I send someone to the page. Another extra hoop to jump through to get to what I or they are looking for.

The main reason I like using "Show All" is that it takes less time to load the entire set of addons and browse them than it does to click through all the different pages trying to find something. However, it would make sense to remove the category frame from that page at least, since people who use it aren't interested in any type of sorting or addon categories. If they wanted filtering, they wouldn't have clicked "Show All".

Sorry for being so long-winded, but the old Wowace was like the Google of Addon sites: it had a simple, intuitive, clean and incredibly functional main page. The new one is not so much, and my main complaint. Sometimes less is more.

I downloaded the latest version of Baggins today, and I'm still getting the freezing.

Older versions of Baggins gave me the same type of lag, but only the first time I opened it after logging in or reloading my interface. These new versions of Baggins give me split-second freezes every time I open my bags. I disabled all other addons except for Baggins, and it was still happening.

Hope it gets sorted out, really love the addon.

I really dislike the new layout of wowace.com.

The old page was great because it was incredibly fast to load the page and incredibly fast to do a quick search for anything. You could jump right down to the hits/matches, and find what you were looking for without any trouble, and that made this the first site I'd visit when looking for addons. I knew that I could visit the site and download what I wanted in seconds. Also, I would send others to wowace.com if it had the addon they wanted, because of how easy it was to locate each addon, unlike other addon sites where it was easy to get lost looking for what you wanted.

Because of the new layout, Wowace.com is no longer the first page I visit when looking for new or old addons, and I now send people to other addon sites when they are looking to download a particular addon.

I'd just LOVE the option to go back to the original page... Not like "Oh that'd be cool"... No... I'd LOVE it. Please.

I registered here just to post this. Wowace.com is not my preferred addon site any longer, but I hope it will return.
