Eddie: if you could, try branches/XLoot/XLoot1.0 (without the modules)

I thought I first tried something else: disabling all addons and write another one just to see what happens with the loot window when Prospecting.

It appears you must get all the loot from the loot window after Prospecting/DEing. If you close the loot window with loot in it, the window will be re-opened to get the loot automatically.

So, if, like me, you have an addon that automatically closes the loot window when there are no more items of interest (as is the case with Prospecting: why would I need "Copper Powder"?), WoW re-opens the window and attempts to auto-loot it, only to get into my eventhandler again which closes the window...

Oh well, that thing is 'solved' :)

btw: is it 'loot window', or 'lootwindow'?

eddie: RBM? What modules do you use?

No, not RBM. It's caused by an addon I'm working on.

However, I've only seen it when Prospecting; with XLoot the game freezes, without XLoot I get an stack overflow error. Besides the point that my addon is flawed, it appears the XLoot can improve it's errorhandling ;)

I've also traced the stack overflow to the fact that somehow LOOT_OPENED is called after LOOT_CLOSED (and in the LOOT_OPENED event I call CloseLoot(), which triggers the stack overflow). However, I've not yet discovered if, and which, addon is causing this behaviour; it could simply be a bug in WoW itself. This only happens (as far as I know) when Prospecting - Mining and Fishing are not affected. I don't know about Herbalism and Disenchanting. My guess is Herbalism will work fine, but Disenchanting wil also trigger the stack overflow, since it works on the same idea as Prospecting.

Just to be clear: XLoot is not to blame for the weird behaviour.

I'm having a problem with prospecting and XLoot enabled. When I close the loot window, WoW stops responding. I don't get a 'nice' error message or something, just everything has stopped (sound, video, etc)

When I disable XLoot, this doesn't happen.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I am using the version that was available on July 21st (don't know the revision, sorry)

    [edit]
Well, I found out that another addon is causing the problem, but with XLoot disabled I get a 'nice' errormessage (something about a stack overflow) and can continue to play WoW.

Just saw one on wowI that looks similar. It's called KamiCrap and looks interesting.

I can't seem to find in on WoWi. Do you have a direct link?

Is this addon still being developed and/or used? Or is there an similar addon with more functionality available?
