Cool. I'd be interested to know what it shows when the unit is dead. I predict that it will show "Dead", possibly with a trailing space. Unfortunately, I can't see a neat way to get rid of the trailing space.

    Known health:

    Unknown health:

    Dead:

There doesn't seem to be a space that I'm aware of.

    Hmm okay.... Try this:

    [Status:SureHP:Short:PercentHP:Percent] [~Status?[SureHP?PercentHP:Percent:Paren]]

    Works perfectly! Many thanks.

Perfect! A way to edit the ordering/position of text on the bar like I described in a previous post is all that is holding me back from switching over to this addon totally from ClassTimer.

    Maybe try this?

    [~Status?SureHP:Short:Append( [Status:PercentHP:Percent:Paren])!PercentHP:Percent]

    Haven't tested it myself.

That shows "7000/7000(100%) for a target you know, it shows nothing at all for a target you don't know. :(

I've been trying to find a way to show the health that I'm happy with and with and after many hours tinkering with the DogTag I've finished. However, (as ever) there's one little thing I'm not happy with and I'm sure it's pretty obvious how to solve the problem to somebody that understands DogTag better than me. What I want is for the health to be displayed like so:

When you know the health value (MobHealth):

    7000/7000 (100%)

When you don't know the health value:

    100%

The code I've come up with is:

    [~Status?SureHP:Short] [Status:PercentHP:Percent:Paren]

Basically, it does everything I want it to but it shows the brackets around the percentage on targets that I don't know the health value on:

    (100%)

Although I could live with this, I'd prefer it if somebody could give me a code that did what I would like it to look like.

Excellent, I totally missed the "Output" option, I'll put it to Parrot since it's actually pretty useful to know when a debuff runs out. Thanks a lot.

    Some suggestions:

Option to turn off the "Fire Vulnerability expired on <target>" in your chat frame.
Option to turn off the bar that sticks after your debuff expires.
Bar color, background color, width, height etc. options.

Also, some sort of option that allows you to choose how to display text on the bar would be awesome, or more specifically some way to make it look like the following screenshot. This is purely personal since I can't stand timer bars that show the time remaining before the actual debuff name.

That's a limit in the Blizzard Api, you can only see times on your own buffs, blame them.

NECB seems to do it perfectly fine, however is far too bloated just using it as Scorch timer.

Heh, "perfectly fine" basically not using the api, and taking a 'guess'. It definately gets confused by resists, other things. Best you're going to get is with Chronometer, which doesn't use the blizzard api, as it was developed from before they existed.

Hardly. Often it's out by 5~ seconds, but it's never been confused too badly.

Chronometer doesn't show stacks other people start.

I just switched from Chronometer to ClassTimers and so far I like CT. Yet I experienced some troubles with FireVulnerability tracking in raids. If I'm the first mage to cast Scorch on a target, FW shows up, but if I'm not then I'm not able to see it.

    And :9

If you could add this functionality then it'd be the perfect addon.

A mod that reliably has a timer for both scorch stacks you start and stacks that other mages start would be a godsend. It's the only addon gap that I've been unable to fill.

    Best of luck.

The way the text on the bar is set up really bugs me, it's so much wasted space. I'm wondering if there's a way through editing the lua (in the short term) or if the author would add an option to define how you want the bar to look. Let me show you what I mean:

    Currently:

    [[X] 9.8 unit : spell ]

The space between the time ("9.8") and the spell icon ("[X]") and the edge of the bar is massive, and wastes so much space especially when you are using a smaller width. I would prefer to somehow be able to change it to look like:

    [[X] unit : spell 9.8]

Could anybody give me a code snippet or give me advice on how to achieve this?

I can't understand why it'd effect one but not the other.

I've tried removing all of my EQCompare-esque mods, and it's still not bold. If it's some sort of addon getting in the way, I can't seem to find out which.

Do you have the [Outline] modifier in the first line?

If you mean on the "Line texts" option of CowTip, no I don't. However I'm sure that this part only changes the tooltips of when you hover over players, and not items? Is there something I'm missing?

Basically, how do I modify item tooltips with tags such as [Outline]? Why would one have it and the other wouldn't?

In the second screenshot, you have the first line as [Outline] - in the first screenshot, it is not being outlined.

    How do I fix it?
