I've simplified the "charm" test a lot, now it simply test if the unit GUID is in the current player group and if they are hostile to the player.
I did not submit it to the svn because European servers are currently down for maintenance...

yep this is highly probable, I couldn't test charm detection at all so it's probably a bug of the new version... The problem is that finding NPCs that cast a charm or mind control ability is very difficult (I don't know any easily accessible)...

Decursive uses the following masks to detect mind-control players:

-- a hostile player character condoled as a pet and that is not an outsider
    MIND_CONTROLED_PLAYER= bit.bor (COMBATLOG_OBJECT_CONTROL_PLAYER, COMBATLOG_OBJECT_TYPE_PET, COMBATLOG_OBJECT_REACTION_HOSTILE ); -- all bits must be set
    MIND_CONTROLED_PLAYER_MASK= bit.bnot (COMBATLOG_OBJECT_AFFILIATION_OUTSIDER); -- this bit cannot be set

these masks seem to be logical but apparently they don't work :/

To fix this, I need your help, if you are confronted to a mob that cast charm spell, type the command /combatlog (this will log your combat log to a file at at Logs\WoWCombatLog.txt) than send me the file and I'll be able to fix the problem. thanks.

download the archive from http://www.2072productions.com/?to=decursive_dev and install it manually or use Jwowupdater: http://code.google.com/p/jwowupdater/

if it works then file a bug report to wowmatrix.

how did you install Dcursive? check that Dcr diag appears in the Decursive.toc if it does then there must be another lua error before the "installation is corrupted" message.

OK, thanks to all who reported, this is fixed, it was just that GetRaidRosterInfo() is unable to return useful data right after log-in if the raid group changed while the player was offline...

Where you in a raid when you logged-in? Or, where you in a raid the last time you logged out?

Normally this message can only appear if you're in a raid, if it appears outside it can explain a lot...

    thank you for your help

    Report this to <emailadr.>"

What was your situation when you got this error?

Sorry about the SpecialEvent-Aura missing bug, I forgot to remove it from the self diagnostic so Decursive was switched to panic mode because the diagnostic failed... Fortunately Gnarfoz fixed it.

Any way to get rid of the new sound when somone is debuffed? the bright cowbell sound is very annoying.
Not to mention it plays both the "cowbell" sound and the old "thump" sound at the same time.

That's on purpus, I made this sound mixing the previous one with the Auction House bell tuned down... People without correct speakers couldn't hear the previous one.

If you don't like it type:

    /script Dcr.profile.SoundFile = "Sound\\Doodad\\BellTollTribal.wav"

you can set it back with:
    /script Dcr.profile.SoundFile = DcrC.AfflictionSound

    It'll be remembered through sessions

using the latest build 79000 i get the following error on login.

    Error: Usage: UnitGUID("unit")
    File: Interface\AddOns\Decursive\Dcr_Raid.lua
    Line: 531
    Count: 1

What was your situation (solo/group/raid/ etc...) when this error occurred?
The last revision will display a message instead of failing but I'm not sure of the cause yet... maybe UnitName("player") is not returning your name when the game just finished loading...

    Quote from Ch3vr0n »

an error i also get is

    Error: table index is nil
    AddOn: Decursive
    File: Dcr_Events.lua
    Line: 153
    Count: 2

This should be fixed in the last revision.

Player on player sheeps only last 10 seconds, like all CCs.

In PvP situation yes but in PvE it didn't at the time I set Decursive to use Rank 1. Maybe this changed... Can someone confirm this?

If you want to change the polymorph spell to pig, you can type this

    /script DcrC.SpellsToUse[DcrC.DS[Dcr.LOC.SPELL_POLYMORPH]] = { Types = {DcrC.CHARMED}, IsBest = false, Pet = false, Rank = "1: Pig"}; Dcr:Configure();

WARNING the spcae character between '1' and ':' is a 'no-break space' and the forum won't allow it so you have to type this character by maintaining the key ALT and typing 0160 (under Windows, if you play on a Mac, well...)

This setting won't persist beetween sessions.

I'd love to see an option to set a different polymorph spell other than sheep. Being about to pig or turtle a mind-controlled person would be awesome.

This can be done easily but the problem with other polymorph spell is that you cant choose a low level spell, so you will sheep a mind-controlled player for 45s... which is a bit too long.

That's correct, sorry, I meant to allow the player to click whatever was behind the frames instead of just showing a message saying that it can't do anything.
It would make it easier to put the live list somewhere prominent, like the middle of the screen or what not, without it getting in the way of selecting targets.

It's on the svn, if you disable livelist tooltips, it will no longer catch mouse events.

About the 2.2.0 beta 1 version:
The new Event system seems to work perfectly, there is only one thing left to test, it's mind-controlled player detection, so if anyone has the occasion of testiing this, let me know :)

Blizzards doesn';t want it to be possible, here is what is written in the FAQ in Readme.txt:

    *** QUESTION :
** The old Decursive was so simple, why is it so complicate now?

** If by clicking on a specific MUF can cast spells on the specific
target, wouldn't it stand to reason that if you code one button to change to
the name of the priority target you would then only need one MUF instead of
    multiple MUFs?

    *** ANSWER :
** It's because of Blizzard changes in WoW 2.0, Add-ons can no longer
target units or cast spells directly...

** No it's impossible, unit-frame cannot be modified while the player is
in combat... Blizzard wants players to take actions and think to play. So
single-button-casting add-ons are impossible since WoW 2.0. Player have to
choose manually their target and the spells they want to use.

Decursive uses new Blizzard's "click casting" solution, it's the only
way for add-ons to use spells and target players.
