Nov 25, 2007_ForgeUser13790 posted a message on EQCompare: mod for QuickCompare/EquipCompare replacement.I had no problems at all with EQCompare until Arrowmaster took it upon himself to "break" it for all of us that used it. You should have left well enough alone when you updated the TOC for 2.3 and not taken it upon yourself to break it once and for all for the rest of the users. No one appointed you as "the decider" for the users of an addon that is supposedly technically "broken" yet something apparently none of us had any problems using.Posted in: General AddOns
tekkompare is definitely no better, if not worse, as it throws empty, blank tooltips when mousing over trinkets.
In closing, don't appoint yourself to mess with something nobody had a problem with in the first place. All you've done is create problems for the end users.
Nov 17, 2007Thanks to Jwensley2 for committing a change to fix the "double mail" error. I just saw it on the changelog via WAU.Posted in: FuBar AddOns
Just so everyone knows, I sent a pm to Tekkub via this site, the listed author of MailFu, and the only response I got was "I don't do Fubar anymore." So let it be known.
Once again, thanks very much to Jwensley2 for committing this change and returning MailFu to it's previous functionality.
Nov 17, 2007Thanks Jomar! :) I just ran WAU and MailFu updated, but not sure if you committed this change or not. I'm going to log in and see if the issue persists. If it does, I'll be using your change to solve the problem.Posted in: FuBar AddOns
Thanks for your efforts one way or another.
Good luck out there,

I managed to create a fix for SLTimex's mail module, which is present in 2.0-r8. My guess is (since I cannot get a response on the o-boards) that UPDATE_PENDING_MAIL is firing twice now upon mail received, once to update the Minimap Mail Icon and once to update the "username" that was an added feature in 2.3, and it's not just AH mail...it's all mail (I tested heavily last night).
A fix is to create a small script using the UPDATE_PENDING_MAIL event that will ignore the 2nd event firing. Worked like a charm on SLTimex. Same fix will work for MailFu.
That's awesome because the "double mail" thingy has been bugging the crap out of me. :) On that note, can you commit a change to FuBar_MailFu or post how to create/where to put the small script you refer to in order to fix it? FuBar_MailFu hasn't been updated in >30days according to WAU. Any help is greatly appreciated because I'm a huge fan of having my mail info on FuBar.
Appreciate any help you can provide,
thanks in advance,
Nov 7, 2007I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the "disappearing button" issue has cropped up again. I'm running newest version (updated a couple times today). Everything was fine all day with multiple log ins/outs, but after I logged to eat dinner, when I logged back in a few minutes ago both the weapon buff button (weight/sharpening stones) and the quest items button have disappeared. Both show as enable within options, and I tried disabling/enabling them as well as /rl with no reappearance. Looks like it's back to uninstalling addon and sv's (account and character) and starting fresh again.Posted in: General AddOns
Good luck on figuring this strange one out. Please let me know if I can provide any other info to help. Also, BugSack shows no errors.
Nov 6, 2007Thanks for the response, Toadkiller :) I don't envy you your "job" but just wanted to make sure it didn't slip through the cracks. I'm about to relog now after another fresh install. My method of setup has been fresh install, turn off show text in FuBar, move bar up some, move water button to next to food, then disabling buttons i.e. trinkets, auras, tracking, explosives, fishing, elixirs, etc. Everything seems to work fine during that session. The problems occur on the next log-in.Posted in: General AddOns
Anyways, I'm about to relog after a fresh install/config, and will report back with the results.
Once again, thanks for your patience and dedication to getting this all squared away. :)
UPDATE: As you already know, the skinning issue occurs. This time no buttons "disappeared" Earlier, of the ones I had enabled (or had not disabled, depending on your viewpoint), it was typically the weapon buff (i.e. sharpening/weightstones) disappeared. This time the only issue I could see was the skinning, which you already have a handle on. Hope this helped, and good luck to ya. :)
Nov 6, 2007any word on why after relogging buttons disappear and half the bar is no longer skinned by CyCircled? (for more detail see my previous post on the previous page) just curious since you responded to nearly every other issue/question, but hadn't seen anything about the issue I and a few others mentioned with the latest release? If you don't know yet, that's fine. Just making sure you saw it and are aware of the problem.Posted in: General AddOns
Thanks in advance for your continued hard work on this invaluable addon.
Nov 5, 2007I can confirm that in the latest release, everything works perfectly on the initial load and setup. I was able to disable buttons, move buttons, etc just fine and all were properly skinned by CyCircled.Posted in: General AddOns
After exiting the game and re-logging in though, the problems occur. Some buttons that are enabled within the options disappear as if they were disabled, and about half the bar reverts to square unskinned buttons. The only remedy is to completely remove Autobar and the associated saved variable files, and install a new clean version that has the same problems. Initial load and setup is fine, but the problems occur after exiting the game and logging in a new, second time.
I'm completely clueless as to coding, etc but my only theory is that there is some problem with how the settings are being saved on logout, and that they then propagate to the subsequent log-ins.
Sep 17, 2007I mean the download page that is reached by clicking Help--> Go To Download Page within WAUPosted in: Updaters
And as for assuming I can't read, here's the link
within WAU it shows the version as 184.108.40.2064
that link shows *.656
Sep 17, 2007Clicking the column headers in WAU has no effect. i.e. click LastUpdated to see what's been recently updated, and nothing happens. Same for Name, Version, etcPosted in: Updaters
Also, if you click the Help tab, and go to the Download page is lists a later version, than the updater will auto-update to, yet when you manually install it, it still shows as .44 The one listed on the download page is .65 or something like that.

just remember people - there are a lot of 3rd party modules for cartographer .. as such problems with those modules need to be directed at the authors... and for lack of a better place this thread would be a good spot.. :D
While I agree, that the Cart plugins that I'm so dependent on were written by other authors, some form of notification must be made to them, as Cart is now basically useless since none of the plugins work at this point. All 18 or so of my plugins return errors on load directly referencing the new RockLib etc.
Hopefull this can all be straightened out soon in order to get things back to normal and working together. I'm highly dependent on my addons, and this is a bit ridiculous.
Good luck, and try to stay sane because this may take awhile to get everybody on the same page, and working together.
