Did an update tonite and couldn't see my tradeskill skills anymore in the skillet windows - seems they are on the wrong frame lvl or something. Reverted back to a version of Skilled from a few days ago and all is back to normal. So, something up with the version uploaded today.

I've created this bug report (http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKL-31) to track the problem.

Right now I have no idea what is causing this, but I am searching for anything that could trigger it.

yeah, so i was just taking a peek and the line:

    self:RegisterChatCommand({"/skillet"}, self.options, "SKILLET")

appears in the Skillet:OnEnable() method. it skillet is not enabled, how does one enable it if the /skillet commands are never registered? note that these commands don't seem to be unregistered in the Skillet:Disable() method so you can enable and disable all you want until you reload disabled.

i would expect moving that line to the Skillet:OnInitialize() method would solve this quirk.

also, the restore_blizz() command that resets the blizzard windows is only called when you hit escape to close the skillet window. hitting the close button or toggling your tradeskill button (or selecting a new tradeskill) doesn't trigger this event.

Yup, these are both bugs and I'll get at 'em tonight. Good catch, thanks!

Actually, I mean mouseover the actual potion or elixir in your INVENTORY, and see what herbs are used to make them (so I can stop looking them up every time).

    Try SomeAssemblyRequired, from wowinterface.com

I've noticed a couple of items missing from the "Tradeskill.Mat.BySource.Vendor" table, specifically:

    Simple Flour: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30817
    GoldenBark Apple: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=4539

If there a procedure for getting these added? Or is there a reason that they're not in there that I just missed?

i just did an update and now skillet doesn't show up anymore. it loads, but doesn't respond to /skillet commands nor does it display itself when i click on the trade skill buttons.

Weird. I have not checked in any changes for a while. I'll check it out as soon as I can.

Just on the off chance that there is something busted in the XML, can tou check out the file "World Of Warcaft/Logs/FrameXML.log" and see if there are any Skillet related errors in there?

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if the tooltip that's displayed for things such as mousing over a recipe in the tradeskill window could be modified by the game's UI scale setting (in the video settings), that'd be great!

Edit: Also recieved this error today while levelling up alchemy when I opened the window:

Edit edit: Another bug, while creating say, lesser healing potions, when sorted by level, when other recipes turn green, the 'selected' recipe drops down one and is no longer selecting "lesser healing potion", and mid-crafting, the text in the queue list changes to a different potion, even though it's still crafting the lesser healing potion

I've filed bug reported for these and will start looking at them as soon as I can.

I was wondering how can one develope an ingame addon, just to show the recipes your missing in another window next to your trade window possibly?

    It's a popular idea :)

Try: TradeSkillInfo, AckisRecipeList, RecipeRadar (and I'm sure i'm forgetting some)

Hi, just curious if this is working as intended, or a bug, but if I do /skillet standby, and then open my tradeskill window, i hear the noise of the window opening, but it doesn't open (which is what should happen), but then the blizzard tradeskill window doesn't open either.. Shouldn't it open if skillet is on standby?

The default tradeskill window should open when Skillet is in standby mode. I'd call that a bug.

Got some errors when patching today. Worked ok yesterday. I expect I probably did something wrong somewhere, but I thought I should report it.

    Got this on login:
Try to open my alchemy frame (normally opens skillet right?) and the normal frame comes and I get:

From the looks of the errors, it appears that the new Skillet.toc file is not being read properly. First thing to do it to exit the game completely and restart (if you have not done so already).

If that does not work, try deleting Skillet and redownloading it.

Good work on the mod -- nice to see something like this being actively developed.

Just one request -- I use EnchantingSell as well, and right now when I click the EnchantingSell icon, Skillet comes up as well -- this didn't happen when I used ATSW. Is there anything you can do to stop this from happening with Skillet?

I just tried this with ATSW and it pops up when I start EnchantingSell. However, I'll see what I can do about making Skillet play nice with EnchantingSell. I'll just have to play around with it for a bit to see what the correct behaviour actually is :)

Very nice addon, thank you !

But I have an issue with the shopping list. As a hunter I have a quiver for my ammos. If my quiver is in the first bag slot on the left, I get an error when trying to retrieve items using the shopping list saying that those items can't go in that bag. Everything works fine if I change the slot of the quiver.

I've logged this as http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKL-19 and will look into it today.

    Edit: fixed with commit 52702

PS : sorry for my poor english...

The svn repository will be reorganized. Each addon will have its own separate repository. In each repository there will be standardized locations for tagging beta and release versions. Tools will be written to make managing the repositories and the releases as painless as possible.

The files script will be updated for the new structure of the svn repositories and will generate zips for the release and beta tagged versions.

As a new(ish) developer here, I've not felt a lot of the pain that others have. I just wanted to say that I *heart* this plan and have no problems at all changing the way I work so that beta and stable versions of my mod are easy for the automated scripts and downloaders to find.

As someone who has designed and built build and distribution systems before, I know how nasty all the tiny little details are to get right. If you need a guinea pig to try this out on, I'm more than happy to lend a hand.

I just downloaded Skillet to replace ATSW (I'd like to have all ace mods). I am noticing what appears to be an odd bug.

If you filter the recipie list and then create something from the selected item, the recipie list "resets" itself and forgets the filter. The selected item is still selected, but its now way off the visible display.

    Steps to reproduce using Alchemy:
    1. Type "agi" into the filter box to bring up elixirs of major agility
    2. create an elixir of major agility
    3. the recipie box resets

That's seriously goofy. I'll try this out as soon as I get a chance tonight and see what I can do about it.

Edit: Logged the problem as http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKL-18

There was a request to be able to switch between tradeskills while Skillet is open.

So for example, if I opened Skillet with Engineering, I could then use a drop down (or something else) and select Smelting...or maybe Cooking. Then Skillet would update the list with items from that tradeskill.

Yup, I've recorded the request here: http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKL-7

I haven't seen any response, but this is one reason I may not use this addon. I like it, but Manufac allows me to just drop down a list and select the tradeskill I want. If Skillet could do this, I'd convert over. I don't want to have to open the window to select the different skills each time and I don't want buttons on my screen for each one (even hidden ones). Just a keybind to open up Skillet, then select whatever manufacturing skill my character knows.

For right now, I don't think I'll be able to add this feature into the next version, but it should be relatively quick to do and it seem to be quite popular so I'll probably be adding it fairly soon. You can keep an eye on the above URL if you want to see the progress on that feature.
