    Hmmm... That sucks, but it doesn't break my UI so I'll live with it. Thanks.

    Mine aren't exactly revolutionary, but here is what I am using on my Target and Focus frames.

    [[IsTapped:Text([Level] [Classification])]:DifficultyColor] | [Name]

    Displays as...
    70 | Mobname, for normal mobs
    70 Elite | Mobname, for elite mobs
    Tapped | Mobname, for tapped mobs

    [Status:Text([PercentHP:Percent][PercentMP:HideZero:Percent:Prepend( / )])]

    Displays as...
    100% / 100%, if the unit has power
    100%, if the unit does not
    Dead, if the unit is dead

    There are a ton of addons that place the chat input at the top of the chatbox. Do any allow you to switch the direction that chat enters the window?

    I basically want to reverse my chatbox to be placed at the top of my screen, with new messages appearing at the top and then scrolling/fading down.

    Thanks!

    I kind of get if/then/else statements from the scripting I used to do for the pIRCh IRC client (gah... I likely dated myself with that), but anything larger than that (i.e. functions) blow my mind. I created a php dice roller for Shadowrun once. It rolled one die and color coded the result based on the target number. It took me a week to figure out how to set it up to allow me input how many dice I wanted (and not get back the same random number for all of them). Someday I'll have the free time and money to take some introductory programming classes. :)

    Thanks again.

    I want to say that I tried that last time and found that, while they are more likely to have the same names due to the order they are typically generated in, it doesn't always work out that way.

    I'll test a bit when I get home from work, but I'd like to have a script ready to handle this just in case I need it.

    Learning to program seems impossible, but writing addons or making use of cool addons like this one make wish I knew how. But I don't, so I have a question... Can I combine multiple scripts into one panel (panel 4 in my example), or should I break them out to individual panels?

    I need to show/hide two panels for my target, one for my focus, and one for my pet. Binding to the BT3 petbar didn't work last time I tried it, and PitBull names unit frames dynamically, so that won't work...

    function eePanels2:TargetFrameVisibility(self, event, ...)
      if(UnitExists("target")) = 1 then
        eePanel1:Show()
    	eePanel2:Show()
      else
        eePanel1:Hide()
    	eePanel2:Hide()
      end
    end

    function eePanels2:TargetFrameVisibility(self, event, ...)
      if(UnitExists("focus")) = 1 then
        eePanel3:Show()
      else
        eePanel3:Hide()
      end
    end

    function eePanels2:TargetFrameVisibility(self, event, ...)
      if(UnitExists("pet")) = 1 then
        eePanel4:Show()
      else
        eePanel4:Hide()
      end
    end

    eePanels2:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD", eePanels2.TargetFrameVisibility)
    eePanels2:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_TARGET_CHANGED", eePanels2.TargetFrameVisibility)
    eePanels2:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_FOCUS_CHANGED", eePanels2.TargetFrameVisibility)
    eePanels2:RegisterEvent("UNIT_PET")

    OK, that makes sense to me... although my concept for my finished graphics are a little more complex than just shapes so I'm not sure how I'm going to make that happen.

    Am I just totally missing the point of transparency? I thought the whole point was that these intermediate pixels would be see-through. (this is where my graphics inexperience really shines I guess.) I swear I've seen other UIs with imported graphics that go from opaque to translucent or have "windows" in them. *sigh*

    FWIW: I'm ordering the "classroom in a book" for Photoshop to hopefully increase my familiarity with the tool.

    I'm trying to import graphics (just some black silhouettes for now to get an idea of how things look when imported) and having a real time of it despite having read the (virtually identical) steps to do so on several websites.

    My issue is white lines around textures with transparency. My limited web graphics experience makes me think that it is anti-aliasing, but I thought these graphics supported transparency... so why would I get AA lines?

    I've taken some screenies. You'll need to copy/paste the url to get the right picture. For some reason when people follow the link it takes them to the wrong picture in my album.

    This is just a black box. Anti-aliasing was turned off on all tools. It's just a square with an alpha layer.

    This was my original proof for the shape of a UI. Anti-aliasing was not turned off, as I assumed transparency would allow for it, but was otherwise created as the tutorials explain.

    what am I doing wrong?

    Maybe this has already been addressed. Is there a reason why eePanels parenting won't work with Bartender3 Bars? I can assign a parent, BT3BarPET, to parent a panel successfully, but when I dismiss the pet and the bar goes away the panel remains. This doesn't seem to be an eepanels issue, as I can get this behavior to function properly with other frames (i.e. my PitBull target frame).

    Sorry if this is the wrong discussion/forum. Just trying to work out the kinks on what is otherwise one of my better UIs.
