    posted a message on KC_Items (Ace2)
Not sure if this is a bug or just some fluke with the way KC_Items and Fence figures things:

I ran a full scan of the AH yesterday and had a blue Nightseye, the lowest recent buyout was somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 gold. However when I alt-clicked to put my Nightseye up for auction, the price showed up as only 4 gold for the buyout. Is this normal behavior, am I misunderstanding how KC_Items + Fence work or is it a bug?

posted a message on Dumb Question About Profession Filters
Under the profession modules (Mining, Herbalism) there is a option to filter and a list of various materials, what I don't understand is this: Are the substances checked the ones that are filtered out or the ones that are shown? The tooltip doesn't day and I'm not sure as I have just started using Cartographer yesterday. All help appreciated.

I am attempting to use Enigma as my OSH font. I also tried Emblem, and the issue persisted. These are fonts included with SharedMedia.

    Phanx,

I'm having the same issue, though I am using the SCT Diablo font, all of my other addons that have the ability to use fonts, save them just fine between sessions, except for OSH.

    /script local SML = AceLibrary("SharedMedia-1.0"); for _,name in ipairs(SML:List("font")) do DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(name..", "..SML:Fetch("font", name)) end

Shows the font as: SCT Diablo, Interface\Addons\sct\fonts\Avqest.ttf

    /dump OnScreenHealth.db.profile.fontFace

    "Interface\\Addons\\sct\\fonts\\Avqest.ttf"

In the interest of trying to help squash this bug, the font Avqest.ttf is in both my D:\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\SharedMedia\fonts AND D:\Games\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\sct\fonts directories.

I have no idea if that has any bearing on the problem, but both Enigma and Emblem are also shared with SCT and in the sct\fonts directory as well as the shared media folder.

    Hope that helps.

posted a message on WoW UI Updater (Windows/Linux/Mac) - supports multiple sites
    Quote from Amthea »

We at ui.worldofwar.net have had to forcefully disable this tool from requesting data from our site, for two reasons. Firstly we have to pay huge bandwidth fees and we make up for that with advertising, but this tool circumvents that completely and just leeches our bandwidth which we cannot allow. Secondly we have our own tool called UI Central (http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2106) which we would urge users of the site to use, which we have thoroughly checked and added an API for it so the bandwidth use is minimal.

Please do not try and get around our new measures to block your program. It is a great, well-built utility but unfortunately we can't allow you to use it in conjunction with our site. If in the future we release an API system we will let you know, this may come with the brand new redesign of our site in a few weeks.

Also, we did try and contact the developer before doing this but we didn't get any reply.

    -The ui.worldofwar.net team

I realize this is old news, but I just had to comment.

    Translation:
We don't want you using this tool, we want you using our tool (with ads) instead.

My Response: I won't be using your tool (UI Central) or your site (ui.worldofwar.net), in addition I am going to post to my guild(s) forums and suggest strongly that they boycott you (ui.worldofwar.net) as well and encourage their use of WUU and WAU for their addon update needs. That way neither myself nor my guild will be using your precious bandwidth.

Updated with a fix for font face saving. I couldn't reproduce the alpha saving bug, scibat, so if it still happens, please tell me what alpha settings you're using.

Added an indicator for player combat status; thanks rdji for the idea.

Added an option to hide the power display, for Mokale.

Now I can't seem to get it to work at all, I even deleted my savedvariables and reinstalled the addon. No matter what settings I use, including always on OOC, fixed alpha, no transparancy, I can't get anything to show on the screen. I checked the settings both manually and with Niagra and no luck there either. I haven't installed any new addons either.

Why do you want to switch from X-Perl? (btw, it's Ace, not ACE) X-Perl is actively updated, has undergone plenty of improvements lately, etc. A mod being written with the Ace libraries doesn't mean squat. You should just find an addon that you like.

In any case, ag_UF and PitBull are the big ones here, though there are several more.

The main reason I'd like to have all my addons be Ace is because of the ease of updating with the WAU tool, plus as a general rule I tend to have less issues with them giving me conflicts and errors. Anyway, thanks for the reply :-)

posted a message on General UnitFrames Question
Currently I am using X-Perl unit frames, but I would like to migrate all of the addons I use to ACE based ones. Can someone suggest a unit frame addon that most closely functions like X-Perl? What I like most about X-P is that I can get just the info I need in an easy to read format, plus party frames are all in one box so I can adjust the width and spacing, but I don't have to try and line up each party member's frame manually with each other.

    Thanks in advance!

Just tried Emblem. Same debug messages above and a revert to FQ.

Just FYI I am getting the same problem. Between sessions its not saving my alpha or font settings, so I have to set them up each time I log into the game. Using Niagra for UI control.

PS: I LOVE this addon, after trying every other HUD out there, this is the one that I find cleanest and easiest to use with my style of gameplay. Thank you for the excellent work.

    posted a message on IceHUD
I've found a bug in IceHUD that I am hoping someone can fix. On my hunter's pet health and mana bars the text is showing up inside the bar itself instead of beneath it. The problem only shows up on those two bars and in combat makes it difficult to read the text. If anyone knows of a fix that can be made by changing a line or two of code, I'm savvy enough to insert it, but trying to fix it myself is beyond me.

Thanks for your time and for the excellent addon!
