would be nice witha simple keybind to show/hide (or is there one already?)

Cos sometimes in raid u might want the minimap...

If I make the mini-addon with that, I would prob put a keybind in anyways, but make it default to hiding it and then when you hit the keybind, it would unhide. Personally tho, I just use the x button if I don't want the minimap..

I'm trying to force my minimap to hide when I'm in a raid, is there anyway to do this via simpleminimap... can't find any settings to do so.

Well, this one will hide anything that is parented to the Minimap itself, but if you use an addon to move the mail frame, or use an addon that grabs the minimap buttons and puts them somewhere (tidyminimap for example) it won't hide them:

    /z MinimapCluster:Hide()

I could write a mini-addon separate from smm to do it when you join a raid. If you do use one of those addons that does stuff with minimap buttons, and they don't hide when you type that into the chat box, you may want to talk to the author of that addon and see if they can hook the onhide script so that it can hide each of the minimap buttons.

Thanks for the quick response, Speeddymon, and I love your addon. For some reason, I am not getting the Waterfall menu to work correctly. When I left click the fubar option, nothing happens, and when I do a /cooldowntimers gui command, it tells me it is invalid. I can right click the FuBar icon and get the drop down menu, but what I am looking to do is put all my item cooldowns under the CDT menu. Is there a way I can do this by /slash command?

    Thanks in advance,

    Red

Not sure why left click on fubar isnt working.. I'll have to look into that. If you right click the button and open the menu, there should be an Open GUI option. If not, (i wasn't in game so i gave yopu the wrong slash command) you can do /cdt options to get the gui open.. However to do what you are wanting thru slash command, there isn't a way to at the moment.

The way to do it thru the menu, though is to open the menu, go to Group Settings, and then to Item Cooldowns, and select Delete Group. What this will do is not actually delete the ItemCooldowns Group, but it will disable it.

After it is disabled, reloadui and everything should be in the cdt group.

chattthrottlelib shouldn't be needed as its included inline of acecomm.

soar is deprecated you should be able to remove it, if something complainz post the name of the addon and maybe the author can change it to sinklib(which is what replaced it)

I thought compost wasn't supposed to be used anymore now that WoW is better at GC, did that change or is just an older addon?

But yeah Glory needs a TOC update.

    -Sinaloit

Unfortunately I need ChatThrottleLib for DamageMeters to work.

Edit: The damage meters on curse just put up an update with CTL embedded.. Even tho I hate using embedded, it's better than nothin, and they updated the TOC on it as well..

Edit2: The only addons that I personally had that were using Compost still were FuBar_RecZone, and FuBar_ExperienceFu, and they both only mentioned them in the OptDeps, but not in code, so I committed changes to them removing them from OptDeps. Metrognome doesn't mention it in the TOC, but will take (un)advantage of it if it is installed however. Best bet is to update your addons with WAU, then uninstall CompostLib, and then hit File -> Reinstall All Addons and see if it gets reinstalled. If it does, look thru the output to see which one has it as an external, and then list it here.. I'll figure out if it actually needs it and if not, I'll make an update to remove it.

Nope, nothing planned. Hadn't even realized the TOC number was out of date; I always have the checkbox checked. There's really no reason not to leave it that way... if you're encountering problems you can always go uncheck it to see if that narrows things down. I will bump the Automaton TOC, though... or anyone else with SVN access is welcome to go for it.

I went ahead. Personally, I use the box when I first get the new patch to see what works and what doesn't. As I download up-to-date addons, I disable it to see what is left. If an addon doesn't go up to date within about a month or so, I start looking for an up-to-date replacement (assuming that blizz didnt disable something that would be required to make a replacement). Once all of my addons are up-to-date, I disable the box until next patch. That way I know that if I have a problem, it is just a bug that slipped thru, and I can get it fixed, rather than having to fix an entire out of date badly coded addon for one silly little lua error.

    Hello,

In trying to config CooldownTimers2 using the Rock config screen, I am getting this message in Bug Sack:

    [2007/10/12 15:14:28-968-x2]: CooldownTimers2\Options.lua:1108: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

Anyone have any ideas on why?

    Thanks in advance,

    Red

Don't use rock to configure CDT, the layout of the GUI was designed for waterfall, so the only supported (working) config method is thru the GUI that you get when you left click the minimap or fubar icon, or type /cooldowntimers gui

Hi again.. Just checked out the latest rev, noticed a couple minor things with the slash commands.

The word appearance is misspelled ("appearance" not "appearence").. And most addons now refer to the transparency as the alpha, so if you want to save users fingers, you could change that =)

Aside from that, is there any way you could add an option to change the BG alpha? I prefer to have my BG alpha set to 0% but my window alpha set to 100%

You could branch it, if you were bored/interested. Otherwise, we'll just see what happens when/if he comes back.

True, however the problem with branching it is that for anyone to get the updates, either they would need to have a SVN client to download from /branches, or I would have to build a separate zip and release it to a release site, or I would have to make a new addon with a similar name, none of which is ideal. I'll keep it in mind though. I suppose once brewfest is over I'll have a little more time to handle yet another addon

posted a message on AutomaticLFG - Official Thread
Hi all, not sure if anyone noticed, but a couple of days ago I uploaded AutomaticLFG to the SVN. It is essentially the same as AutoLFG (in fact I reused a lot of their code), however it will detect (and disable itself) when you join a party, and then re-enable itself when you leave said party.

The reasons behind making it a separate addon, rather than just changing AutoLFG is that in looking at the autolfg code, it seemed to me that the author intended it to continue working when in a party.

Basically the differences are that in AutoLFG, it detects that you are in a party and automatically changes the LFM options to something so that you go into the LFG channel. The problem is that when it does this, it overrides your settings for LFM, effectively making the auto-add members option completely useless, and also making it impossible for others outside the group to tell that you are looking for more by just looking for more themselves. AutomaticLFG solves this by disabling itself (yes it will most likely take you out of the LFG channel), so that you can specify what instance you want to LFM for. The slash commands are /automaticlfg, /autolfg, and /alfg.

If it is desired to keep you in the LFG channel by using the LFM, please let me know and I have an idea on how to make it work while still allowing you to choose the instance your group is wanting to run.

Speedy: Thanks for doing that and helping to improve this mod. Did you by chance read what I mentioned above?

I did. TBH, I think I'd like to shy away from making any major functionality changes since I am not officially picking up this mod. If I were to do that though, I would probably integrate fubar_mailfu-like functionality as well, since he has comments in there to the effect of wanting to do so..

I never used vidor, discord, moveanything, or fluidframes. The only mod I can think of that would let me move anything was KC_moveanything ( something KC - at work now ). The minimap is good now, just the items traditionally under them ( like the time for the flag to turn etc ) revert back to the orginal positions and of course my gladiator mod.

I will remove that KC mod and try again to see if that works. Thanks for the help.

No no, I was saying to DO use which ever mod was doing the moving stuff, as perhaps you had used it before and it was saving the position, and that now you were doing it a different way..

The minimap is staying in place? My mistake. The stuff around it like the durability doll and the hellfire flag bar are going back to their original spots each relog or reload? Ok, try using the KC mod and if that doesn't work, disable it, and then right click on the minimap, find movers, and enable those movers.. Move the stuff where you want it, and then check the lock minimap and lockdown options under the right click minimap menu.

I actually agree with StormFx here.

If I'm sending to someone on my account, I don't need it to tell me anything (i.e. X to X delivered), because I already know it's instant and for me it's just more spam (especially when sending 20+ items to an alt, arggh!).

Also, maybe add an option to turn off the 'ding'. The blizzard default sound of mail being sent is enough for me.

Okie, so if the mail is going to an alt, then no delivery message at all (i had done it that way to keep the functionality essentially the same), and an option to disable the sound.. I'll have those out in just a few minutes, hopefully..

Edit: The ding sound won't play if it doesn't report a delivery anyways, so if I just remove the auto delivery report for your alts, then the ding will not play when you send, only when someone else receives a mail you sent, so for now I will not add an option to disable the ding.

Wow! Awesome. Thanks so much for this. :)

I got my copy from the wowace download page. http://files.wowace.com/SorrenTimers/SorrenTimers-r47908.45.zip is the build there as of my posting this message.

Here's the deal with this, I think: I'm pretty sure what is triggering the timer is the presence of a buff. When I use the regular Mana Spring Totem, I receive a Mana Spring buff and my timer comes up. When I use the trinket, named Enamored Water Spirit, I also receive a Mana Spring buff (albeit at a different value, it is named the same), and I think the timer assumes, then, that I have simply cast my regular totem and, therefore, it shows me the timer for Mana Spring Totem. I haven't been able to determine how the coding works (again, I know very, very little about how coding works), but it seems like there are lots of triggers that determine the timers. For example, a Searing Totem appears on a cast instead of a buff. (I'm not sure if it shows up in the combat log, but that may be what's causing that trigger?) If that WAS how it was working, well, the trinket actually casts an "Ancient Mana Spring Totem," so maybe there is a way for it to recognize the appearance of that in the combat log and determine the timer from there?

This is very nice for you to be helping me out like this. I really appreciate it and wish there was someway I could repay your generosity.

wow, i never even noticed sorrentimers in wau.. it looks like it is another elkbuffbars. I can check it out..

It sounds similar to the issue that cooldowntimers had where the timer for one bar would stay the same even though the cooldown had changed (1 trinket can have 3 different cooldowns). The fix was a simple one.. Unregister the bar each time it was done counting down. I'll see if that is what is happening here. Real life may keep me from checking it out until sometime next week though. I will get back to you

I see what you're saying. No, I hadn't logged into the mule so it probably wasn't added.

As far as being the only thing Postman does, actually it saves me having to have both AltClicktoAdd and MailTo installed. >.< But if it won't happen again, that's fine. I just don't want spam in the middle of an arena match or something.

NP, I do understand that can be annoying. But yea, with the updates that I did, it stores the names of each character on your account the first time you login with that character, and then when you send mail it checks if the character you are sending to is in your db.. if it is, then it shows instant delivery, otherwise it prints nothing until the next login, or reload, or until 62 minutes from the send.

Speedy: Can you an option to disable tracking? While it's useful for most situations, I don't need it cause I pretty much know when stuff will arrive. I was questing on an alt early after having sent a bunch of stuff to my mule and rather than it saying it was delivered then, it waited the normal hour. When it did update it spammed them and caused my FPS to drop to 1.

I assume that your mule is on the same account.. Had you logged into the mule after updating but before sending those mails? If not, then it should not happen again, as the mule is now stored. However, I don't really see the point of adding an option to disable, since that is all that postman does.. If you want it to not track, just disable the addon for that character (addons screen, select character in the top left, uncheck postman).. If you still think it's necessary, then I will add it as a slash command (groan)
