I just tested aguf downloaded from this morning and it still has major problems on the initial load into bg. From the performance fu addon, it appears that the delay is caused by a build-up in the memory footprint for Ace2 as well as aguf. This problem is repeatable on my system with high probability by running to an area in AV with lots of people (say galv's room, drek's room, etc.), ALT+F4 then attempt to log back in. This problem does not always happen when simply doing /reloadui (I do not fully understand the difference myself).

I will try updating Ace2 standalone tonight with the latest aguf code to try to debug the problem further.

Not sure if this information is relevant, but I tried debugging the issue and got this info:

    http://img45.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot061107192745oz1.jpg

It looks like an event UNIT_NAME_UPDATE is being excessively called, which causes some group frame handler to generate a memory overhead of 150MB+92MB = 242MB in this snapshot.

The addon I used to get this info is called tekSupport, looking at event handlers. To enable tekSupport in-game I used MCPFu (tekSupport is load-on demand, but there is no documentation as to how you would make it load normally).

The loading-time appears to always be slow the first time I queue into AV from the city, so you may be able to use that as a test case. I believe my aguf version is r37551.
