Feb 6, 2011I'll test the shield thing again tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it was not working correctly when I was looking at it on the dwarven council (Spirit of Ironstar) right before Atramedes where he uses Shield of Light (prevents interrupt) along with Execution Sentence (needs to be interrupted).Posted in: General AddOns
Feb 5, 2011Is there a reason the shield graphic doesn't go away when spells become interruptable?Posted in: General AddOns
For example on the Ascendant Council, when Ignacious' puts up his Aegis of Flame and channels Rising Flames it is uninterruptable until the Aegis goes down. However, I don't believe the shield graphic ever goes away.
Jan 16, 2011Is there an addon that allows you to customize expiration features for indicators?Posted in: Grid & Grid2
For example, I cast Lifebloom on the tank and I have it set to show as a square indicator. It is usually in my best interest to refresh Lifebloom before it "blooms". However, I can't tell if the expiration is imminent just by looking at the indicator. Is there an addon currently available that could set indicators to "pulse" or "blink" when it is within n seconds (customizable) of expiration?
I believe there are currently addons that allow setting up indicators as a countdown timer. Unfortunately, I think a countdown timer is inelegant and hard to read in the middle of combat.
Has anyone heard of such a plugin?
Dec 30, 2010I mean during casting, when I can actually see the bar, I cannot click through them. I do not mean when I am not casting, as that is working exactly to my expectations.Posted in: General AddOns
I tried what you suggested, but I'm not addon savvy enough to interpret the results. This was what I got from the /framestack:
<2>table: 13243F40 <-- only appears when I see the castbar
<1>CastingBarFrame <-- only appears when I see the castbar
Your guidance is greatly appreciated, wise one.
Dec 29, 2010How did you manage to make your Castbars clickthrough? I've tried disabling every addon except Castbars and I still cannot rotate my camera while clicking on my player castbar or a target's castbar. I've posted a ticket about adding this functionality, but you replied saying it's there by default and that another addon is interfering with the clickthroughness. Any other ideas?Posted in: General AddOns
Oct 17, 2010I feel the new Grid1's options look very much like Grid2 now. Sure it's missing some of the perks like 1) configurable blinking indicators when auras are about to expire, 2) better inc heals configuration, 3) being able to create any number of text/icon/square indicators at any location, but otherwise it feels just like it.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
This might be just speculation, but I think the Grid1 authors are trying to incorporate some of Grid2's better innovations into the original. They have more authors/maintainers and a larger user base to help develop it, so I can only believe that the future of Grid is still Grid1, while Grid2 has been mostly experimental in demonstrating what can be done to improve it.
I was using Grid2 for most of Wrath, but have had almost no problems converting back to Grid1.
Oct 16, 2010I've read that it's impossible to change the incoming heals color due to the way the bar is implemented, is this still true?Posted in: Grid & Grid2
I have not been able to change the color at all by adjusting the "incoming heals" status. Does anyone else think that having incoming heals at 50% alpha (adjustable) and being the same color as the health is hard to see?
Apr 30, 2010I run two skada windows, 1 "main" window and 1 purely for threat. Main window has title bar enabled, threat window has it disabled.Posted in: General AddOns
The main window's title bar likes to randomly disappear from time to time. Right clicking on it usually makes it reappear.
Since I use one of the windows for threat only, it would be nice if there was a click-through feature or a mode-switch lock feature.
