    Sounds good to me, helped me in mulgore ;)

    Shouldn't lineLeft and lineRight be locals?

    Hehe, well, as I said, it is untested and I just threw it together. Yeah, they should definitely be locals. I'll correct it in the Pastey and update the link. :)

    Please consider this patch for improved tooltip mob vs. quest item detection.

    It matches for instance "Greater Planestrider" to "Planestrider Meat" - Can commit if you want.

    Patch: http://wowace.pastey.net/80091

    Here's the approach I'll implement to this, assuming it works (I can't really test it right now). The "dumbMobMatching" option would add the tooltip info for any word matches, as you requested, but it will be turned off by default. This new code should match more mobs with objectives, though, even without the dumb matching enabled. :)

    I had code like this in nQuestLog before, and while it does often produce valid matches as you mentioned, it also produces invalid matches (there are a few examples way way back in this thread). I took out the code due to complaints. I strongly recommend MobMap if you want nearly 100% matching of objectives to mobs. nQuestLog will pull the loot table for each mob from MobMap and cache it locally, so there is almost no performance hit.

    I'll go ahead and add an option to enable this type of matching, but it won't be enabled by default and will have a warning attached to it for the reasons stated above. I've rewritten a large portion of the nQuestLog code during the past week or so, and I still have a ways to go, so this may take a week or two before it's in there, as I don't want to edit the old code at this point. Thanks!

    Edit: Here's an example of invalid matching...http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=4460.msg146297#msg146297. To make this kind of matching accurate and deliver the additional valid matches that you'd get with this code, nQuestLog would need to have a table of mob prefixes and suffixes to filter against, and that is not something that I want to maintain. :)

    Edit2: Also, the "( startPos == 1 )" is what ensures that the match is indeed valid. Just checking for startPos, but not that it equals one, leads to the invalid matches.

    One quick question. In the minion, it shows the level of the quest (like [12] blah blah). Can I turn that off?

    Not currently, but that option will soon be available. I'm restructuring a bunch of stuff in nQuestLog right now, and that's a feature I've already added to the unfinished code. Thanks.

    Awesome addon. i have some questions regarding th elook and feel though. Can I make the texts in the minion look like the chat texts instead of shadowed and bit bold? (I want to keep the color)

    Yep, just turn the "Font outline" option off in the "Minion" settings menu. :)

    FYI, I haven't had any time this week to do any further work on nQuestLog and I'm going to be away without Internet service for the next week or so.

    One step better that I've seen is (and honestly I thought nQuest did this, I'll have to check which add-on is doing this when I hover over a quest)It puts this information in the tooltip:

    "Quest Name"
    Zakriel
    <Name Party Member 1>
    <Name Party Member 2>

    Green = Member has it
    Red = Member does not have the quest

    -Z-

    I believe it is indeed the nQuestLog tooltip to which you are referring. What Sevus is requesting is a way to quickly get an overview for all quests of how many party members are on each quest, rather than having to mouse over each one and look in the tooltip.

    3. Ability to trim quest titles in the mob tooltip to a set number of characters.

    This has now been implemented. I'll get the other two in there shortly.

    Wow, this thing is just getting better and better at a very fast rate lately. Thanks for all your hard work Quag! That automatic window width feature is very nice. Only thing that I feel that is missing is:

    1. Partytogo type functionality (really just the announcing of objective/quest completions in party chat part of this addon).
    2. An easy way to see how many people in the group have a quest and share it (I always liked how QuestsFu handled this).
    3. Ability to trim quest titles in the mob tooltip to a set number of characters.

    And really those are just minor things I would like to see, not really all that important. Just things that would be nice to have, especially quest completion announce in party chat.

    The announcing and trimming quest titles will be very easy for me to do, but can you describe #2 (a pic would be awesome if you can provide that)? I hate to ask someone to group just to test an addon, and I can't really tell from the QuestsFu code what it looks like. Thanks!

    Maybe I'm just blind, but I can't seem to find the Expand Upwards option in the new version. Little help? :)

    Also, I LOVE the autofade option. Really conveniently cleans up my UI.

    You use the "Frame anchor" option now to anchor one point of the minion for resizing. For example, if you anchor the "BOTTOMRIGHT" corner, it will expand upward and to the left.

    I have also a request regarding the frame size. I would like to see an option to set the window width to match the length of the largest quest title.

    This option is now available in nQuestLog and is toggled on by default. It resizes the minion width based on the longest header/zone/quest/objective length, and it ignores the objective descriptions, since those should wrap anyway. I tested it with all the ClearFont2 fonts and just about every font size from 6 to 24, so it should work well, but please report bugs as usual if you encounter any. :)

    I'll add this option to the SmartVisibility module. If enabled, it will hide a quest when that quest's objectives have been completed. It won't act on quests that have already been completed, though, since their "quest complete" events have already fired. Sound good?

    Done! I also improved the zone auto-hide/show to work with subzones and instances. :)

    I've asked before, but would still like to see the option to auto-hide completed quests. The completed quests just take up extra screen room for me.

    Also, amazing job with the recent features, love the fade out options :D

    I've noticed that you can rebind the key to open and close nquestlog as your default quest log, but how do you link it to close the details / comments at the same time? Is it even possible?

    As is, if I close the log with details open, they remain open while the log is closed and I'd like to sync them. I thought I had seen this done with the mazzle UI, but I haven't seen an option anywhere in the settings that allows you to change this.

    I'll add that to the hide function this weekend. Thanks!

    Looks great :), I haven't used it much, just installed it and I've only done daily quests after that. Playing very very casually atm though, I might start coding on it a bit whenever I need to level to 80 ;)

    That would be awesome if you do start coding on it again. We could really make some progress adding features and stuff together! :D
