    posted a message on WAUMod - It's WowAceUpdater, ad-free and open
    Since the development of WowAceUpdater has been closed to the public, I have decided to maintain a fork of WowAceUpdater. This project is called WAUMod and is hosted at http://waumod.sourceforge.net. It is based on the last publicly available source code from WowAceUpdater's subversion repository. I will attempt to re-create any bug fixes that have been made since WowAceUpdater closed its development. I am not, however, necessarily going to integrate every UI or feature change that WowAceUpdater has made since then. Overall, I will be relying on the community to guide the development of such things, so please tell me what is important to you and I will take it into consideration!

    I've put out an initial release, which is essentially the same as WowAceUpdater 1.9.42.500 with the following changes:

    * Removed ad frame
    * Added an embedded log viewer instead of launching the log file with notepad / web browser
    * More specific 'last changed' times
    * Better instructions on what needs to be fixed when WoW installation folder is missing/wrong
    * Allow sorting when Show Groups is on
    * Stop auto-resizing column widths on window size change
    * Removed ClickOnce deployment, using .msi installer and original update check method

    Download links are available at: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=214086&package_id=257840&release_id=566655

    Source code is available by anonymous svn. Instructions are available here: http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=214086

    posted a message on ace-get: Command line Ace addon manipulator
    Fair enough, though since I am posting it I suppose I will have to set a license for it so that people don't just go claim it as their own. I have picked the LGPL, a copy of which I have included with the .zip. Also, I have only 2 posts (now) because I just got into Ace, and I only just made a forum account today, to post this file. Anyhow, you have a good point and are right to be cautious.

    EDIT: Sorry, I stupidly gave the source zip the same filename :(

    Requires .NET runtime (probably 1.1 will work, not sure - 2.0 is your best bet).
    Just drop in your Interface/Addons folder and run from the command prompt to manipulate your Ace addons. Anyone who has used apt-get in *nix will be familiar with the feel of it. Let me know if you have any suggestions or run into bugs, thanks!
