I've never had issues with late/early ressurections, theres a limit on how many people are ressurected at a time (as far as I know) so in some matches of Alterac Valley you may miss the wave, the issue is mostly that it's not exactly done every 30 seconds it's 30 seconds -> X delay -> 30 seconds -> repeat, knowing Blizzard it's probably a 0-5 delay just to be annoying.

Cap on rezzes? Never heard of that one...?

This is what I said. It's most likely due to some server-side lag though, and not an intentional delay. I mean after all, what does 5 seconds matter on resurrects?

No. All addons will always be enabled by default. All you can do is go through and make sure to hit the 'Disable All' button on the addon management screen for any character you don't want running them. (But you'll need to remember to do this any time a new addon is installed or a new character is created.)

Oh by all means they help, no way in hell I'd say otherwise. Just trying to fight the "one mod to raid them all" mentality, bit by bit.

First it was CTRA --> oRA, the CTRA_BM --> Bigwigs... now it's KLHTM (KMFDM) --> Omen/Recount/ThreatLib

I will always support a woman's right to choose... her addons.

Well that's mainly because things got replaced by better things. I hated CT and CTRA, and I hated KTM. I can totally see why everyone jumped right off their wagon and pushed them completely aside when these addons came out, and I will personally never recommend those old addons.

Don't know if it's possible to know without a lot of people running the addon, all syncing data. The angel does of course resurrect every 30 seconds, so the system is in theory very constant, but how often do you actually get resurrected on time? I've had delays on resurrections of up to 8 seconds, and I've been resurrected early before. So having a single addon count up from any point would become horribly inaccurate over just a few minutes.

Any way, as far as battlegrounds go, don't be so lazy? I personally am not caught dead without at least one full stack of bandages, food and water whenever I BG (or do anything else in the game) and whenever I get the chance I bum some manna biscuits off the nearest mage willing to drop a table. If you find yourself low on health or mana, stay where you are and take a second to blow through one of these, then you don't have to worry about wasting time rebuffing and traveling.

    Die! (in WoW at least)
Then mark them with your own map notes in Cartographer.

I don't see a big need for this request as there is at max 3 or so spirit healers/graveyards per zone, usually less (unlike vendors, trainers, etc.).

I don't agree with your comparison. Vendors, trainers, and other NPCs of that nature can usually be found centered around one area, a settlement, so having them all marked off on top of the note of the location on the default map (or any additional notes the user may wish to place for said settlement) is a bit.. redundant. Whereas marking off things like spirit healers (and other notable NPCs you'd find astray) would actually be helpful in finding them.

posted a message on new fubarplugin lib for Ace3?
I think that's skewed! You don't need Ace or Ace2 to have good code, or good coding practices. Nor does every independent addon mindlessly pollute the global namespace and run rampant with the CPU and garbage. In fact, I'd go so far as to say with the misconceptions about Ace2 and what Ace2 can provide easily, there's been just as large a flood as bad coders utilizing Ace to write poorly written addons as there are authors writing wasteful independent addons.

Any way, that's not really what I meant. But really that I don't like the design of basing libraries like FBP which are required to plug into FuBar off of a framework, especially given that it works as a mixin. Any other addons looking to utilize it now have to either base themselves off Rock or run through a little workaround and end up including Rock in their addon anyway. Doesn't seem like a clean solution to a plugin stub.

But yeah, that's the way it is, regardless. And depending on how complex FPB's code is, maybe I'll try to tackle an independent version of it... given that it won't suck up too much time to do.

Proximo (and I'm assuming Gladiator, as well) is *not* a unit frame addon. Grayhoof (Proximo's author) is adamant on that point. A mod moved his thread to the unit frames forum and he had them move it back.

An arena opponent frame mod is different from a unit frame mod in many ways.

edit: I would include Proximo and Gladiator in a pvp mods comparison instead.

Shhhhhh! I wanted those compared. lol

I'll repeat for emphasis, you do not need any addons. Don't let your guild or anyone else tell you otherwise.

Entirely true and something too many people forget. But it's unmistakable that addons do help, especially threat-related addons. Many guilds for this reason (and for the fact that specifically threat addons need to be run by just about everyone to work), will require you to run a threat meter for optimal performance.

IMO libs need to be more independent. Especially things like FuBarPlugin. (Seems to me like a Rock monopoly.)

You're a lucky man. At least it's not Thunderfury being linked over and over and over again like it's fucking 2005 again and I'm back on the Alliance.

I swear, before Belfs, the Horde wasn't like this.

    JaedxRapture,

Are you planning to release this to public? Such a lovely layout and I would like to tinker around with it.

I don't know. Maybe eventually. But definitely not immediately. I've got some tweaking to go through, and I'll probably have to convince myself that releasing it, only to have people whine and complain that I need to fix X or implement Y, is a good thing to do.

The biggest must in a guild is usually Omen. It'll tell you your threat, along with the threat of all party members and the amount of thread needed to gain aggro, and give warnings when you get too high and such. Extremely helpful for avoiding over-aggro. (I suggest you read up on the mechanics of threat and aggro though if you are new to raiding and don't yet understand them.)

There are some other helpful (but not always necessary) mods designed to provide general utility and alerts. oRA2 is a raid assistant mod which provides some basic utility for both leaders and participants, and there's BigWigs/DeadlyBossMods (BigWigs being what I prefer) that provides encounter-specific alerts and information, to help you tackle things more safely and cleanly.

Aside from that, there's not much else you could need, except maybe a damage meter if you want that. As listed above, there's Recount, or some other ones around this and other pages (my choice being Violation).
