    using keybindis and having bars hidden (active but hidden lets u use the keybinds without seeing the bar)

    SpellBinder.

    And regarding what you quoted: keybindings are very hard to adapt to at first if you've never used them. But assuming you use a good setup (use all available keys, not just the numbers, and use no more than 1 modifier on any given sequence), it becomes second-nature in no time.

    Could try setting the coloring on FogLight to neutral so undiscovered (and the buggy normal) zones appear as normal zones should.

    The most recent I have:

    Out of Combat: http://i15.tinypic.com/6ssok5l.jpg
    In combat/target/regen: http://i18.tinypic.com/6ymltnd.jpg

    Outdated: the buff frames are now smaller, I've normalized the colors across all bars (you'll see the party/raid and cast-bars are off-color), and I removed Capping and re-installed a modified BattlegroundFu (only displays bonus honor gotten in the BG on the Fu plugin). (Oh, and the colors on the second pic are up-to-date, the first pic was much less cold.)

    I'm looking for a better solution for the action buttons. I'm considering removing them entirely, but I've got nothing to fill its place and I don't want the damage meter that wide (suggestions?). And still tweaking a lot of it here and there. Haven't got much experience with it yet. But I'm loving it so far.

    Is this addon compatible with some kind of buff addon? I didn't see one listed in the beginning but I've seen screenshots where it looks like it is.

    Best buff mod there is anyway.

    I've yet to find out who the asshole was that was firing UNIT_AURA with additional args.

    lol

    Nice to see a different implementation to fix this.

    Isn't there a workaround hide ability? I recall reading a comment in some addon's code somewhere that mentioned using an alternate method of hiding over the normal :Hide() when in combat. I don't remember what it said, but the only thing I think it could be is :SetAlpha() and :EnableMouse(), but I'm not sure if that would work.

    Those two were written for the 1.6 game version. And though I don't see any immediate issues, remember to check what it says against a more up-to-date source, or test out what it says in a dummy addon.

    posted a message on Raising Custom Events
    Just remake your event system's call. Here's how I do it (note my event calling funcs):

    local myAddon = {}

    function myAddon:SomeEvent()
    end

    ...

    do
      local eventFrame = CreateFrame"Frame"
      eventFrame:SetScript("OnEvent",function(_,event,...)
       myAddon[event](myAddon,...)
      end)

      -- my event funcs
      function myAddon:RegisterEvent(event)
       eventFrame:RegisterEvent(event)
      end
      function myAddon:UnregisterEvent(event)
       eventFrame:UnregisterEvent(event)
      end
      function myAddon:TriggerEvent(event,...)
       myAddon[event](myAddon,...) -- handled the same as the event handler above!
      end
    end

    Or you could always make it as simple as calling myAddon:SomeEvent(arg1,...) when you need to. Depends what you're doing.

    And for more than one addon, if you aren't using Ace or Rock, make a simple event framework/lib which your addons can register to and trigger from, and embed it in all your addons.

    Edit: Oh, didn't see your response above. Well, there's a way to do it out of a framework. =)

    Thanks for the response, Bam.

    And yes, I'm using Ace2.

    Hmm... is it as simple as:
    function MyAddOn:OnEnable()
      self:RegisterEvent("MyAddOn_MyCustomEvent")
    end

    ..elsewhere in one or more addons

    function MyAddOn:DoStuff()

      self:TriggerEvent("MyAddOn_MyCustomEvent")

    end

    Yeah. Just remember not to use very generic event names, just like with variables. You don't want them to cause issues with other addons.

    looking forward to target buff/debuff support also (supposedly high on the to-do list).

    That'll be the nail in the coffin for any other buff mod.

    Hmm, link doesn't work for me. But look at the date. More than 2 years ago and nothing has been done. If they are still using that excuse, it's pretty pathetic IMO. :roll:

    Right. The servers have gone through extensive changes since then. I'm guessing this was just an idea they thew around way back when and have since dropped and forgotten it.

    If you're not making use of the feature to auto-move UI frames when the FuBar panel is docked, you don't need any version of Jostle installed. Try removing it and see if this goes away.

    Quote from Seerah »

    I logged on my test character today with Fubar, standalone libs, and a couple other things I was testing (eePanels, a textures mod, buggrabber/sack) to see if I saw the default UI (minimap, ufs, bottom frame) "bouncing". I didn't. I just saw that upon login it took a few extra seconds for the "auto adjust frames" to kick in, and then they moved, and stayed put. Sorry. :(

    note: this was only with LibJostle-3.0 as I have deleted 2.0 because you don't need it if you have 3.0. I also didn't do any extensive testing, as it was only an afterthought and I needed to go to work soon.

    I believe you don't need LibJostle-3.0 anymore either, if you don't make use of the option to auto-move UI frames.
