Two week old thread, /but/ try out ControlFreak by Tek. http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7797-ControlFreak.html

    Use that with a macro:

    #showtooltip [target=focus] [] Sap
    /click ControlFreakFrame

This addon is great for mages and I just got my brother (who is a Rogue) to use it and he likes it.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it is somehow getting the info that WoW puts on the G15 LCD display and shows it in-game. I have a G15 and don't find the info that useful (usually I watch Ventrilo status instead) but some people might like it :)

I have one too and the only nice info is the stuff for BGs that you can toggle. LotRO displayed interesting info, however; it basically displayed your unit frame (think of how minimalistic you could make your UI if we had that!). I wish WoW had that --- that's one of the very few things I miss from that crappy game.

If there was a way Fubar could only popup (while hidden) on a modifier down and only show tooltips on a modifier down, I'd be happy...

Yep. Sounds like overstock. If they sell in stacks, FR will overstock to hit your order. You can turn that off if it matters to you. Being a mage I love FR. Most people don't realize that FR will restock from your bank, too. Just a little FYI. ;)

Xin: You couldn't have thought that was anything like what he wanted. You couldn't have.

I actually like this idea. It'd be a nice way to broadcast information the raid'll need and may need to remember or reread frequently.

"What was the kill order again? I know the raid leader said it a minute ago but I got a quick phone call. Oh yeah, I have the tab right here."

The color formatting in SpellAlert is so much nicer on the eyes ;/

Change the output and edit it in Parrot or MSBT. :P

posted a message on Right Click to perform Action Bar Action on Focus
    #showtooltip [modifier, target=focus] [harm] [target=targettarget]
    /cast [button:2, target=focus] [harm] [target=targettarget] Super Awesome DoT Spell

This will allow you to skip a step. If you right click, it'll throw that dot on your focus, if you left click it'll throw it on your target. If your target is a friend, it'll put it on your target's target. It'd get complicated if you want to do this without having to target whoever you're saving (doable but it'll be hard to do and to remember and thus I'd say not worth doing). If you wanted to you could try this too:

    #showtooltip [modifier, target=focus, harm] [modifier, target=focustarget] [harm] [target=targettarget]
    /cast [button:2, target=focus, harm] [button:2, target=focustarget] [harm] [target=targettarget] Super Awesome DoT Spell

This'll allow you to (if you've focused a friend) apply dots to whoever they target with a right click but still allow you to apply dots the other way if you've focused an enemy.

EDIT: The stuff after #showtooltip is useful if you use your action buttons to see if your target is in range. Hit a modifier and it'll check the range on your focus (or focus' target -- in the second macro -- if your focus is friendly) and your target's target if you target a friend. All so you know if you're going to be able to cast your spell on them. The modifier is not needed to cast the spell -- just an easy way to check their range. ;)

Err... I think you mentioned you already knew how to do it with macros and needed an addon.
    Quote from Korhath »

I use macros with modifiers to perform actions on each target now but I would like to replace all the macros with 2 simple keybindings for 2 mouse buttons.

If that's what you meant, I don't think there is a mod that does this. I have a question, though: Why? Why replace the macros?

You don't need a mod for this. Try this macro:

    #showtooltip
    /cast [button:2, target=focus] [] Super Awesome Spell

Just do that for all of your spells and you'll be set. There are probably addons that give you more macro slots, if you run out of space fast. I'm a mage and pretty much all of the spells I use are put into macros (some doing different things but most just) with [nochanneling] thrown in front.

QQ mor newbs, kay? LOLZ! BttonIDS FTW!!! :P

Seriously, I don't mind the use of action IDs especially the way you do it with the fact that I can assign the IDs out myself. I'm a mage, so I don't have to deal with different forms and all that, but I don't see how you'd ever need more than 120 action buttons (talk about useless clutter) --- with what macros can do, especially. If your other bar mods awkwardly assign action IDs (I'M TALKING 'BOUT YOU BT3) then get a new bar mod. Try Flexbar (which doesn't use Action IDs) or Trinity.

    Quote from JaedxRapture »

Gotta agree. As much as people around here seem to like Parrot it's never outperformed MSBT for me, even when it had several extra features. Now with MSBT version 5 I don't think Parrot has anything over MSBT, and its configuration is certainly nowhere near MSBT's.

    http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5153.html

Edit: Worth mentioning, I used SCT as well. It was a very nice step up from the default piece-of-shit that is Blizzard's FCT, but it's nowhere near MSBT or even Parrot, IMO.

I went from Vanilla FCT to SCT to Parrot and when making my new UI I decided to try MSBT from your suggestion and I lub it. Thanks! It's almost perfect! The API gave me a little trouble. I think SinkLib needs to be updated since I can't route Witch Hunt through custom scroll areas in MSBT without getting errors. Plus, I couldn't figure how to use MikSBT.DisplayMessage() so that it displays in a custom scroll area [MikSBT.IterateScrollAreas() makes my head hurt]. I got around it be renaming the default scroll areas and routing all their events into other scroll areas (basically so I could have Witch Hunt in it's own scroll area and Smartbuff in it's own as well, without other spam), which is working perfect -- even though it's a weird way to do what I want.
