It works, it isn't though aesthetically pleasing is what I meant.

It mirrors the theme that's been used for wowace for many moons. I don't see the huge problem. Ofc some tweaks could be made for those that are hard of ... sight? seeing? w/e But the initial skin is fine. You don't need flash apps flying across the screen everywhere, or graffiti and logos behind every letter.

In any case, if it doesn't suit your needs, then just make your own theme. Bada bing, your aethetic problem is solved.

I wanted to criticize your spelling of "license", but it seems it's a valid spelling in British Engrish. BLAST!

If these changes are are good enough, this will allow to remove a bunch of addons, some of them being rather memory or CPU intensive (like RatingBuster, ItemPrice, and quest addons).

I also hope they will fix the animation system.

I highly doubt it will have half the functionality of Ratingbuster. I think it'll be more like 'Ratings'.

As Tekkub said... add his nifty addons and closetgnome and it's near perfect :P

A helm-and-cloak addon would be nice as well, but as HelmNCloak is only put up as attachment to the forum I'm too lazy to use it...

I agree about the icons: Having straight text displays is much more obvious.

I hope a graphic artist of some sort can swoop in and fix the design :P

There are skins that remove the icons. Most notably Stanzilla's. Both of mine do too (because of Stan), but I just kind of screw around so most people probably won't like my changes :p

I must say that I also noticed this today, since I rarely leave the forums. For the most part I have to agree with Phanx. The layout is an abomination in terms of readability and not really easier to navigate than the old theme. The scrolling issue in FF3 is simply ridiculous and despite the fact that I'm attempting to use another theme, it seems that the changes revert back to the default settings ><.

It's not an 'abomination', imo it's really not THAT much different. The theme issue is known, I made a ticket and talked to ck about it. It's hard to reproduce consistently for them apparently, but it happens to me all the time >.O

I use wowhead for a LOT more than mob info. In fact.... I don't remember the last time I looked up a mob location on wowhead. But I'm on the site almost daily.

The "rounded corners" are actually only on the CurseForge site - but since both sites share the same announcement system...

The site can be skinned to preference, though this is not readily apparent, by going here.

Byotch! Wowace has roundies too. :p It's quite apparent after you use a skin that has them turned off. ^-^ Grats on Mod btw.

Blizzard removed the pet from all EU players, btw. Seems like having a non-combat companion on a different continent is a crime against humanity.

You mean you didn't get the memo? :o

Thanks for maintaining that great list!

    Noticed a little error:
The WowAce link in the first (bold) paragraph is broken.

=) Thanks for letting me know, I had no idea. xD
I'll fix that now... and some time this weekend I'll probably do a mass edit for all the new addons I've neglected to put up. @_@

Considering your eye sight and the fact that wowace and curseforge are now skinnable, what would you like to see in a skin that would make the sights more readable for you? I'm sure we can put something together that would accomodate you, if you don't want to delve into it yourself, that is.

Is there currently or could i get pointed in the right direction to make a LDB module that will say what my effective fishing skill is with my equipment + lure/beer?

Pretty sure there're two different LDB feeds for that already. Both are at the very least listed on curse.

Displays like DockingStation which try to enforce a "standard" are, quite possibly, limiting themselves by doing so - Cladhaire added the icon RGB stuff to TomTom and implemented it in NinjaPanel when there was no "standard" for it, and now other displays (including DockingStation) support it as well.

They're not enforcing a standard. :p They're a front end, doing what a front end is suppose to do, in a way that a lot of people were begging for. xD
