AddOnAddOff is absolutely amazing, just in case Tekkub fans haven't tried it yet. *waves flag*

posted a message on Need WoWAce Replacements for these addons - suggestions?
    Quote from oddible »

Looking for WoWAce addons to replace these that I was formerly getting from other sources including Cosmos.

    • QuickLoot: Moves the loot window under the mouse.
    • PartyQuests: Shows a number next to quests I have indicating if others in the party have it
    • Gymnast: Smart tooltip manager, moves the tooltip to a specified place unless I'm comparing equipment or looking at certain types of loot

    Thanks!

I use a mixture of JasonQuest (to show party member's quests in a quest log format) and BEQL (Bayi's Extended Quest Log) to replace other functions of PartyQuests, such as the quest list and quest text being seperated into two different windows. They're both great, the only thing I liked more about PartyQuests was that it didn't use doublewide style, it actually displayed the quest list in one window, and the description in a completely independent window, but that's pittance, both those mods rock.

TidyMinmap on wowinterface.com is more in the right direction imo. It hasn't been updated for awhile and needs a little optimization love but it's no way near as bad as the alternatives.

The problem with tidy is that it stills shows the minimap buttons, as opposed to hiding them until needed. Which was the big draw to MBB for most people, one button as opposed to 14 (no matter how small you make them, or where you move them).

One of the big names should make a commit for Ace4 and just watch what happens on the forums. :P

And I still haven't found anything that which would make me decide to Ace3/Rock/Jostle/Dongle my add-on. Maybe use all 4 somehow? :P

What framework are you using now? Oh... just RockinAce with a little Dongle-Jostle.

I don't know if I should be crying or laughing, but wow... I think we just found an add-on that can challenge alarlib.

    Do you use atlas?
When I still used it, atlas gave me a bunch of problems, and removing it from the MBB lowered memory usage significantly (although the memory usage was still high, regardless).

Would you be willing to add map coords to the minimap? It's just a feature I tend to find convenient.

Well, we can't seem to reproduce the problem, and if it can't be reproduced it's very difficult to debug. The best thing I can suggest is to move your chat frame.

Right click your general tab => unlock window => Drag chat window up, up and awaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
(BTW Libjostle and Jostle-3.0 aren't named with Fubar_ inj the front, they're further down =p)

If you wish to continue using FuBar2, you may find that just moving your chat frame up a bit and disabling FuBar's auto-adjust feature altogether is a decent workaround.

AW jeez, Imma tard, I totally forgot about Unlock/Lock window >.<

If you're talking about the Ace2 override.... I have the same problem, it won't consistently stay above the bars, the bottom kind of dips under the buttons, covering just enough of the bottom line to be a pain in the arse. :P

Yea it's available from WAU, it's listed as MBB.
    http://files.wowace.com/MBB/MBB-r57466.zip

It' weird how it goes from using virtually nothing on load, to almost... 10 megs now?
Just kind of curious as to why it's doing that and if there's a suggestable fix, maybe. xD

I didn't know exactly where to post this, but I was curious...
Why would MBB suddenly spike up to using 7... almost 8 MB of resources?
I've always assumed it was a small/ lightweight addon until I just noticed that. Mind you... it doesn't always take up that much memory, it seems random.

posted a message on New Tracking skills button inside the standard map button?
I was wondering if anyone would have an idea on how to show/place the new tracking button (and it's functionality) inside/over-top of the general map button. It's big, it's bulky, and i find it much more efficient like that. So I was hoping I could pick your brains for ideas on how that could be accomplished... I'm still learning how wow scripting goes.

    Thanks =)
