Or you could just publish on WoWI, where we've had a category for months...

There are also authors from CurseForge that don't necessarily partake in this side of the community, and they posted a few interesting LDB addons.

BTW #1 ticket, booya :p

A ticket was made for adding in additional categories to curseforge's (and therefore curse/Wowace) system, in favor of LDB / Fubar / Titan addons, much like WoWI.

Vote for awesome!

(PS Thank you Yess) ^_^

Hey bros, bear tank here -

I've been looking up and down for this addon that reports dodges that I saw during Patchwerk (never could find it); I came across this addon called TankadinTPS which, recording until paused, can display threat generated in a fight along with detailed view of what caused threat.

I thought maybe something could record the amount of hits, avoidance, and have some way of displaying damage mitigated throughout the fight recorded.

My first thought was that it could be a Recount thing, but I didn't think overall data could prove useful. If anyone knows anything like this or can improve to sate my anxiety, please write back!

If you use an LDB display there's an addon on WoWI called "Stomped Shear", it displays a lot of different tank data. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, BUT the author seems very open to suggestions; so give it a go, see what you like , or don't like. There're a LOT of datafeeds provided by his addon, so get ready to position a lot of different windows, and/or weed out what you don't want. I found it to be very fun to play around with.

I'm rambling... hope that helps in some fashion. :3

I would assume every time a character is created their GUID is one digit higher than the last character created. At least thats how I would have made it.

Ah, don't presume Blizzard works how you think. Many people have been surprised in the past. :p

Aw man, so you mean my thread about getting a "Display Addons" section added, will never be read? T_T

BTW, it kicks ass that someone's maintaining this. I was expecting people to add their own shit, which they won't, so the list would fall out of date quickly.

^^;; Glad you approve; at first I was kind of worried I might be over-stepping my boundries ... or something along those lines. xD

make a function in the code like
local function D(...)
if addon.debugging then
print(...)
end
end
It can get way more complicated but that's a simple one. In your code where you want to know what it's doing just call the function with the values you want to know about while debugging.

hm... thank you :)

How does one add in the ability to print "proper" debugging information?
I've never really had to add in debugging support to figure out a problem before, so I've never bothered to look into it before.

Are there any tips you guys could share? ^-^

By adding standalone addons that also provide an LDB feed you are opening a huge can of worms, IMO. Unless you are dedicated enough to catch them all out there (there are tons by now), and keep the list updated (that's the deal breaker here) at which case I must really salute you.

That one may not get as much attention, and if it eventually gets too unwieldy, I'll probably just switch the category to 'examples of stand alones with ldb support' or... something. =p

I'm not going to seek out every individual stand alone, I'll just add what I run across, or what's brought to my attention. I'm more concerned with keeping the 'Feeds list up to date.

Yea, I saw that, I'll be adding it after I can add a few more things to the list. I know there are stand-alones that I'm currently forgetting.

Cool, I'll add that too. ^__^ Thanks.

A big update, on my behalf at least, there was a lot of 'behind the scenes' crap added; as well as a bunch of addons.

A link for the lazy ^_^

Lemme know watcha think :3

I was just wondering if you were writing it module-based, for the reason that maybe some users don't want all the bells and whistles, but like the basic idea behind the mod. In that case they delete the mods they don't want, and bada bing they're on their way.
