Hello users. Since I never found any examples or anything regarding inserting dogtag code into a new custom layout (or even existing ones that don't come with any target info) I decided to post my code, and even tho it works perfectly for me, see if Benumbed or any users can show what I did wrong or at leat make it more efficient.

This is the name field for the target and it colors the mob name by hostility if its a mob that can attack, otherwise it just gives the name in white with the name of the realm the target is in (if different than the one the player is in). Also includes AFK and DND timers on this line. All of this is in a bold outline so it can be read clearly against any backdrop.

    Target Name Line:
    [if CanAttack then
      ThickOutline Name:HostileColor
    else
      ThickOutline NameRealm
    end] [(AFK or DND):Angle:Yellow]

This is the field for all the general target info. I don't like info text that says "Lvl 60 Warlock Human", because to me that is backwards. It should be "lvl 60 Human Warlock", so thats how I have it here. It starts with the target's level colored by difficulty as usual, then the mob's classification (boss, elite, etc.), then the mob's race if it is isn't a creature (or the creature type if it is a creature), then the mob's class colored by class. The mob's race (or creature type) is also colored by hostility just as the target name line.

    Target Info Line:
[Outline Level:DifficultyColor] [Outline Classification] [Outline SmartRace:HostileColor] [(if (IsPlayer or (IsEnemy and not IsPet)) then
      Outline Class:ClassColor
    end)]

This next line (there are 3 text fields) is for player guild (colored green), unless its a pet or minion, then it shows the owner and the type of pet instead.

    Target Guild/Pet Line:
    [if IsPet then
      (Outline Owner "'s " CreatureType)
    else
      Outline Guild:Green
    end]

Many folks out there waiting for this addon to include (or link to) established databases of instances. Apparently peeps feel as though there are enuff addons out there that have yet be configured to work properly - they're not willing to get more. This addon will become so much more widespread once it starts coming with populated data.

Got it open and looking for stuff to copy - problem is everything is kinda separated out...hard for me to pick up what i need and don't need.

Like I sthought i succesfully had a TargetName field completed with hostilitycolor, but then i noticed on screen that i was targeting myself and there was a AFK status with the time that I'd never knew was there. Its stuff like that that I'm missing and that I want to be there.

Yeah, I don't have any problem with that part. What I'm doing is setting 'D'arc fancy' as the style, then going down and creating some fields - one for unitname, one for unitguild, one for LvlRaceClass - that type of thing. I can do stuff like [SmartRace] and thats fine, but your default DaHUD target info is infinitely better than what i can create myself. For instance when i make my own target info fieds, it doesnt know whats a pet and what isn't. therefore it shows all pets and minions as 'paladins'. Thats just one example of how the fields i create are lacking the info that i get when using default settings.

I'll try looking in the text.lua but i seem to recall last time some1 told be this i didnt have a program on my computer to open lua files.

Kay maybe I need to be clearer. If you use DaHUDs defaults, there is target information on the HUD. If you use d'arc bars, there is no target information. I went to default settings to see if I could simply copy the target info dogtag code and enter it into my own target info field, but DaHUD doesn't show you the code for whats already there for editing purposes. So I need the code thats used ALREADY in DaHUD, in the default configuration, for use in the d'arc configurations.

    ./dogtag

Um, thats not what i asked. "/dogtag" is nothing but a reference to dogtag commands and stuff that I can't make heads or tails of. I asked for a piece of code to paste into DaHUD that would give me target information.

I can't believe there is no information in this thread about dogtag codes. Can someone post something for me to paste into a custom target tag? I need something that acts just like the Blizz stuff, I.E. it distinguishes between friend or foe, master and pet, shows class, name, creature type, elite or not, level, etc., etc. Something like the other huds come with as a default but with more info.

I can't create bars or even set the "style" in the first menu.

I get this, and reloading ui doesn't help:

Error: attempt to call method 'CreateBarSettings' (a nil value)
    File: Interface\AddOns\DaHud\Style.lua
    Line: 1100

posted a message on Need buff frame addon that shows ALL buffs/debuffs
    Thanx for quick response.

No, I've used 3 unit frame modifiers (currently pitbull) but none show ALL of the buffs/debuffs on my target - the frames only show mine.
Obviously i need to know what others have cast on the target.

I think i need to be clearer. Without any addons installed, the blizzui will show all buff/debuffs on your target. It doesn't matter if you the one who cast it or not.

Well I want an addon that allows this same functionality only lets me move the frames anywhere i want and has alot of customization options.

Every unit frame/buff frame mover type addon and even HUDs that Ive tried do not allow this - they only show the buffs/debuffs that *I* and ONLY I have cast.

I cant seem to find an addon that shows my targets (or whoevers) buffs that *I* haven't cast. They show my buffs/debuffs, but not anyone elses.

The minimap will ignore your alpha setting while indoors due to Blizzard limitations.

Hmm. Unfortunately this is not the case here as I am outside.

On all toons except my main (of course) the minimap retains the alpha that i have set it too both in and out of combat. On my main, with no other map-altering addons, my minimap ignores the alpha setting and is 100% visible at all times.

Well ive got my aura on my player frame just fine, but i activated them on target frame and...nothing. Ive messed around with everythingthinking maybe theyre just off screen or something but nothing works.

Wow, I've just notices that not only does the target frame show nothing in the way of buffs/debuffs, but my frame only shows those done by me.

OK ive created a new layout, but i still have no art work or anything to use for backgrounds and stuff. I went thru this thread and still dont see where to get the artwork. I do have sharedmedia but thats not showing anything.

Please help guyz. I just need (I've searched there IS nothing like this) a step by step like:
    1. Get art from <link>, or maybe eve n from <another link>.
    2. Put it in folder <path> (and DONT say MyMedia like the instructions say - it doesnt exist in my sharedmedia addon folder).
    3. Startup or reload WoW and enjoy.

Soooo....what exactly am i supposed to do with this 'as is'? You d/l the addon, install it, read the FAQ...then what? I was hoping for some sort of list of uh...panels or whatever theyre called. So I figured they would have some on the net - searching for "kgpanels layouts" reveals this forum and exactly squat else. Can someone maybe post something to import or some instructions on how to create your own stuff?

EDIT: To be more specific, I've seen people say to install sharedmedia, which i have done, and that kgpanels is sharedmedia compatible to it will recognize that stuff. But inside of kgpanels config it show nothing. I just want to start creating some panels but everything is greyed out! if I'm supposed to import someone elses layout before i can start creating my own, then where do i do that?
