i download RBM and all the plugins for it last night and i got over 400errors and WoW was pretty much not playable.
The errors are mainly lib errors, but i know i have all the required libs as i use a lot of ACE addons with external libs.

once i disable RBM and all plugins WoW works fine.

    Is anyone else having problems.

I've said before. This issue is with Auctioneer Advanced's libraries and how they hook into an ace2 table. The problem just shows when RBM gets enabled because of load ordering (and only with some people).

I will get the abilitywatch spell updates in tonight. Sorry I havent been replying, been very busy getting things working properly with the new UI changes upcoming.

Wait. >_< So now I'm confused- I thought RBM wasn't a replacement for BigWigs, but more of an extension to make the look'n'feel different? So technically then since I run Capping and have RBM_Capping- I wouldn't need Capping, the core mod- just RBM's extension of it for it to work properly?

Take note: It is late. I am a noob. Worst of these two though, I ran out of Redbull so now my brain doesn't work :(

RBM Has its own boss module plugins. Period. It will continue to have them. RBM has a plugin that is included with the default mod that allows RBM to control BigWigs boss modules. RBM is not designed to replace bigwigs in anyway, shape, or form. RBM's own boss modules are NOT included with the default download. RBM only has boss mods for gruuls, za, and t6+ content. It will not have a module written by me for t4/t5 instances.

If you wish to run bigwigs, I recommend to not have the RBM Boss Modules enabled. You can use the RBM Boss Mods for the bosses that it supports (t6+, za/gruul), but if you are still doing t4/t5 content on a semi regular basis, it would be more annoying to have to disable/re-enable bigwigs, rbm bossmods, etc. Just use BigWigs and use RBM to control the bars.

I hope this clears up some of the questions about it.

Looking for some help here -- latest RBM enabled I get all kinds of Libstub errors (like 40 of them) and sharedmedia seems to just stop working aswell as Pitbull, Fubar, etc...

    Anyone having this problem?

Disable Auctioneer Advanced and all of its dependcies. The problem is not with RBM but with AA. There was a lot of testing done by myself and several other acredited authors and it was determined that the problem was with AA and just showed up when RBM was enabled due to load ordering. There is a post several pages back about it.

wondering if you have any updates on the crusader strike update you were planning on adding for ret paladins?

Waiting on feedback from private testers, but as far as I can tell its working great and should be out very soon. Sorry for the very long delay.

Couldn't find any reference to a problem I got by using the search functionality. Therefor I'm posting it here:

If I use a drum or trinket from a Bartender4 action bar RBM doesn't recognize it. I have dragged the drums onto the bar and am using macros for the trinkets. Anytime I use either of these RBM doesn't get it. However if I use the drum from within Autobar RBM catches it and works perfectly. I don't mind using Autobar for it. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

That....is.....odd? All of the RBM plugins for that kind of stuff are all based off of the combat log....so I really dont see how its even possible that bartender4 breaks it..but I will look into it.

    Quote from shadowrm »

Each time I go to a proximity based fight I always have to manually close BigWig's frame to see RBM's, so I was wondering that if BigWig's proximity module is disabled does RBM's still function? If not then is there a way to get RBM to hide BigWig's proximity frame in favor of its own?

Thanks yet again for this mod, loving it ;)

I recommend not using RBM and bigwigs bossmods at the same time :) If you dont do that this wont exist, but I will look into doing it.

I think this post may have gotten lost in the shuffle.

Sorry bro, I saw it and just forgot to respond to it. This is because some people requested that CooldownWatch, etc be saved per profile instead of per-character like they originally were. I figured these problems would begin to exist with this change, I will look into changing them back.

I've been trying to read through all pages of this thread, but I simply can not muster the willpower to read through all of them. Because of that, I will apologize for questions that have been asked.

    1. My guild is changing, my GM allows me more or less power over which addons to use guild-wide. I voted for BigWigs due to it being well known to me. My question, while I found that RBM is NOT pers? a replacement for BW, it can be. What I want to know, before I toss RBM out there as potential required addon, when DBM (some use DBM and that's fine with us) or BW is enabled, will I be facing dual timers for events in say ZA?

    2. The debuff stuff, I also play a shadowpriest, for which I installed ForteClass, solely for the debuff tracking across mobs. I was interested in the NECB type you mentioned, can RBM track SWP/VT over several targets (and more important upon death of target delete the bars - this is where several addons I've tried horrendously failed. And Hyjal, waves + a lot of targets = wall of bars)

    3. For RBM_Capping, RBM_Incubator etc, I presume I have to have those addons, both have a bar display of their own, again - will I be facing double bars per event?

I am not sure yet, if I like the config (I will most likely, should I use RBM permanently, create a config and shove it on the guild site so others don't have to set it up fully.) But from what I could tell, it seems a nice addon so far. My main question is the dual bar per ability. I use BW mainly for events *I* as healer need to be aware of - and to track cooldowns on say Innervate/Divine Intervention.

Alright, I'm going to try and explain this. I just woke up so if my answers are kinda....vague...then sorry just say you would like a better explanation.

1: Could RBM be used as a guild wide boss mod? Yes. Again it goes back to my previous statements about localization and overall support. I am only one person. RBM does not have bossmods for any t4/t5 content (besides gruuls and za). This is because I cannot personally test them. I would say to require bigwigs. If you personally wish to use RBM to manage the bars, it can manage bigwigs bars without any issues. If you want to use RBM as "the" bossmod for your guild, you are more than welcome and I will assist in anyway possible, but again I am only one person compared to the team of developers that BigWigs has. The one thing that RBM has that I do not believe BigWigs does (and I may be wrong by this post but it was true in earlier posts) is that I am currently raiding with a guild that has Kiljaden on farm. This means that I have personal experience in all encounters in tbc, so the bossmods are written from my experiences rather than reading combat logs/others experiences.

2: Yes/No. Yes it can handle dots among multiple mobs. Very well infact. The core problem with all mods that track dots/etc with bars is that there has to be a way to define bars from each other. This is typically done with the bar text (as RBM does). The problem starts to occur when you have dots on multiple mobs with the same name. I am trying to find a way around this without causing a shitton of bloat though. Though if you use NECB Mode with AbilityWatch this will not be a problem, but only the mob you have targeted's debuffs will show, but the bars will properly disappear on time and when the mob dies.

3: All of the plugins for other mods (Capping, Incubator, etc) all require the core addon for them to work. With these plugins, RBM will take complete control over their bars. What this means is that you should not be getting double bars. They will all follow the RBM bar management system as far as filtering, showing, etc is concerned.

4: The big draw with RBM is also its major drawback to a lot of players. The config system. While I have tried my hardest to make it as simple as possible to use and configure, it simply has a lot of ways to configure it to each persons liking. I know the config system is a bit daunting, and I hate it, I just do not know of another way to do it and keep the same number of options available to the users.

RBM_AbilityWatch can track the cooldowns of raid members innervate, di, bloodlust, etc. One thing it cant track and I wish it could was ankhs (nothing was fired pre 2.4.3, havent checked in 2.4.3 yet). It can track rebirths sorta. As of 2.4.2 Rebirth only fired a SPELL_CAST_START event and not a SPELL_CAST_SUCCESS event. What this means is that in 2.4.2 you could only tell if they started the cast, noway to tell if they actually finished it or not. So it would display a bar if they started to cast it. I have not tested 2.4.3 yet to see if a SPELL_CAST_SUCCESS event is fired yet or not. I will do so later today. As of 2.4.3 there still is not a SPELL_CAST_SUCCESS event fired. It will still work as before.

Every Boss Ability is showed corect until the boss use the ability. Shadow of Deaths , the first player who become the beduff is showed, the second and every there after not. Ros Enrage , Supremus Phase Change.

I Dont test the Hyal bosmods until Monday night , then i will report.

i hope u can fix this... i dont want bigwigs back :(

    Thanks a lot.

Will take a look at it. What localization are you using?

Thanks for the great mod, seems to get better the more and more I play with it (I am still talking about the mod)

Would it be possible to get priests shackle added to the the mod to go alongside the polymorph and banish (use it during raiding so its handy to know).. infact, for some reason I Can't find out where the banish/polymorph display bar option thingy is now since I reinstalled the other day :/ any pointers where to look?

Final question, relating to the above mentioned - is it possible to have the timers include the raid marker symbol so its possible to know when each one is going to break? (I am guessing not due to the combat log probably not saying which mob was banished with the symbol?)

I will get shackle added in today/tomorrow. I will look into the raid marker symbols. It is definately an idea that I believe is doable. And believe me I still change my RBM layouts on a weekly basis. Its so powerful its insane and I just dont know how exactly I want it.

    Quote from dragonis »

you say that RBM is more powerful than NECB yet RBM cant even track the duration of Shaadowfiend yeah good call on that one mate.

RBM does not track anything. Its a core that manages the bars/alerts/etc. AbilityWatch does not track the duration of shadowfiends no. Why? Its still beta, which is why its not released publicly, and it does state on the svn and files.wowace.com "BETA USE AT OWN RISK". There is one person developing RBM and all of its plugins/bossmods. Me. I get feature requests done within 24 hours usually, nobody has yet to request shadowfiend duration hence it hasnt been added. Unlike NECB which I believe has...what? 4 people developing it and has taken it how long to get to where its at? Ok.

If you do not like RBM and its plugins, dont use them. I wont allow this thread to become a RBM vs NECB bash fest. Sorry.

Great addon from what I've seen so far, just having a couple of issues...

First, when I enable the BT mods I see the error
    Naj'entus.lua:37:unfinished string near '",'

Secondly, perhaps this is me setting something up wrong, but I can't seem to get TrapWatch to work. I have the plugin enabled and I have the Trap Watch categories both checked, yet when I drop a freezing trap I see nothing. I also see nothing when I have a mob trapped. Any idea what might be going on?

Fixed. A localizer had an extra '"' in there.

looks like NECB is getting some life breathed back into it once its ready good bye RBM and hello NECB again.

Thats nice to know. I really could care less to be honest. I do not code to compete with NECB. RBM is far more powerful than NECB can ever be because of the core platform that it runs on. Nor is RBM published anywhere like the craptastic NECB that was out was. I would also love to see NECB being supported the way RBM is. Maybe thats just me though ~_~

I was wondering if it's intended that DR timers are 20 seconds, though ingame DR actually only lasts 15 seconds. Or am I missing something?

I was under the impression it was 20, not 15. Though wow.com does say 15. I'll change it and see how it works.

Thanks for making this addon, it works great so far :)

I was wondering if you could please add these diminishing returns some time when convenient :

    • Frost Nova (Supposedly, shares DR with entangling roots, controlled roots)
    • Polymorph (Is supposed to share DR with sap and gouge)
    • Impact (Is supposed to share DR with Celestial Focus, Stoneclaw Totem Blackout, Mace Specialization and Seal of Justice, stun procs)
    • Frostbite (should be in it's own category, being the only root proc)

Polymorph is probably the most important one of those I guess.

I believe sap is its own DR now per previous patch. I have been testing it myself and getting inconsistant results. I will add in polymorph to it too.

The OnProc dr's I havent added in yet. I will confirm tonight that Frost Nova is infact on root's dr and will add it in.

    Not really fixed here.

Downloading r77573 with an SVN client (Tortoise) with libraries embedded, the following occurs and it doesn't complete the download:

Error: \Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\X_RaidStatus\libs\LibFuBarPlugin-Mod-3.0' is already a working copy for a different URL

What happens is that \LibFuBarPlugin-Mod-3.0 is downloaded to the \libs folder as the first library found, but its not classified as an "external". The SVN client (and/or the SVN itself) only recognizes that folder as part of the actual mod. Then near the end of the download (with most of, but not all, the other libs downloaded properly), the LibFuBarPlugin-Mod-3.0 folder comes up again, but this time as an "external". As there is already a folder of that name, it can't download it again and the error occurs.

No issues of this type with any other mod from the Wowace SVN downloaded in the past here. It may or may not occur with WAU or similar clients.

Thats probably true because its not being included as an embeded. Its being bundled with the package because its not released on the trunk yet only branches. This is the same thing RBM, Omen, and several other Ace3 Mods that use LibFuBarPlugin-Mod-3.0 do.

And AbilityWatch -> Cooldowns is not yet localized for deDE clients, true?

Custom Labels for AbilityWatch are working look at the AbilityWatch settings. AbilityWatch is not localized for any language(including enUS) yet. This is intentional.

did I miss something or it doesn't make any difference between player and mob target? I'm getting diminishing returns timers on mobs and wrong timer on sap when sapping a player.

And since today it seems to be uncompatible with XLoot, never had any problem before.

If you want to track your own sap times, use De|Buff Watch, not AbilityWatch, it only guesstimates and is far from final at this point as far as the times are concerned.

I have a question regarding abilitywatch, i may have missed it but i would like to color the cooldowns/casts in the color partaining to relevant class. Such as Iceblock Cooldown is light blue as that's the color associated with Mages. If it's already possible I apologize for posting, but I've been unable to find it.

Also, I was wondering if the :: Cooldown :: part can already be removed from the label. It takes up so much space on the bar. Another thing that boggles me is the fact that after experiment with the Theme Settings I'm somehow confronted with a random number showing up after the :: Cooldown :: part of the label, ie 953. I've solved this by deleting the frame and creating a new one without touching the theme settings. These scare me now.

The random numbers is apart of the "Test Bars" feature. Its used to bypass a built in check that prevents multiple bars from having the same name. The ":: Cooldown" part can be removed via the label settings under AbilityWatch. Remove the ":: $t" from the end. I will look into adding in a class color feature.
