simply uncheck that particular mod and not update it via the aceupdater (use the zip or something else)

as for aceupdater, my only complaints have been mentioned already i think
SCT screws itself in the process (plz fix :-D )
and when something fails or results in an error it can result in losing the addon completely (happened to me a few times, but i watched carefully and checked to catch it.)
some of the errors i had previously have since righted themselves

so far so good, gogo ace community

yeah simpleminimap is awesome! you should use it anyway :P

secondly, cheers on picking up the mantle, im a huge fan of the modular-ness (is that a word? lol) of the chat mods Id wrote, i can use and hack what i want and ditch the rest

    as for names...
    mChat i like
i'ld say kcChat but...yeah, theres that kaelten guy =P
im sure you guys will come up with something ;)

first ild like to say this is still by far the best hud yet, been using it for what seems like forever now and it just keeps getting better.
ild also like to second the animation idea posted above (mainly for health/mana pls :) )

    and a bug report
    version: 0.7
Revision: 11892 (tho its been going on for a bit but i had been a bit lazy in updating so didnt post yet ;P )
basically, sometimes the casting bar ticks infintely, havent been able to find a specific trigger, sometimes its spells, sometimes its abilities (ie skinning or herbing)
    heres a screenshot to explain
    http://www.techtastic.net/wow/screenshots/iceHud-CastingBar.jpg

again, cheers on the most kickass hud around :D

    visor + kc_mobility = the win
im using a sweet version of kc_mobility someone posted here on the boards (a custom re-code/hack) and its basically moveAnything and then some
as for visor itself, some of the things it can do are amazing, which is why its always enabled on any toon i play, but sometimes it does some funky stuff (i tried to move the oCB2 frame and it warped it out so i couldnt even see the frame (turns out it somehow thought setting the height to 1 was a good idea >< easily fixed with a quick scan through the visor.lua saved vars tho ;) ))
i have a feeling this debate will never end, but ive seen to many mods i want to use broken by moveanything, which is why ive since dumped it and gone to the visor+kc_mobility solution
works for me, but maybe not for all
to each there own addon folder ;)

Ahh. I figured out the issue with why my Inspect frame wasn't being skinned: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php/topic,2325.0.html

Any chance if a simple little addon isn't doable to get a binding for inspect, that the GoodInspect frame(s) could be skinned as an alternative?

shortcut reply at your request post
    http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php/topic,2325.0.html

personally im starting to think too many things are getting oSkin'd im wondering if itll ever end lol
regardless, im sure the GoodInspect frame is skinable, though im not familiar with the mod itself, sorry

just make a /inspect macro, throw it on an actionbar somewhere and keybind as desired :)

    Hi,

@lacindas, I've just cleared my test machine, downloaded oSkin, MCP and MetaMap, loaded WoW and got a UIPanelTemplates error.

MetaMap displays skinned, MCP displays skinned but the profile dropdown doesn't work.

I think for MCP the Dropdown isn't being initialized properly, can you create a profile and the logout and back in again to see if that clears the error. If there is an error when loading oSkin it will stop and won't skin any more :(

lol it seems we're having exact opposite problems
i have metamap not skinned, mcp not skinned, but the profile dropdown works fine
ill try the profile thing you suggested and report back ;)
