If anyone is brave enough to test it: I've uploaded an Ace2'd version of Squishy to /root/branches/Squishy/Ace2/Squishy - please see if it works for you. If I don't hear any negative reports, I'm planning to merge it with the trunk, aka replace the Ace1 version entirely.

Despite the fact that your subject isn't very helpful in guessing what the thread is about: yes, there is. It's a part of Squishy. It's on the SVN.

Thanks a lot for the compact mode. For some reason ranks are not properly displayed, everyone who's online has R? as rank. Besides that, some of my friends don't properly show the note I added, even though the icon to the right contains the note. Other notes are displayed though. Hm. Btw, may I ask to remove the "No note" if there's no note yet as it will make it easier to quickly see which friends have a note added?

Oh, and the alpha for the class colored names doesn't seem to be correct - I assume it's not 1 but something around 0.7ish.

PS: encountered "AuldLangSyne.lua:293: attempt to index field `?' (a nil value)" when switching to guild tab.

PPS: ever considered recreating the friends pane to a column view, similar to the who/guild view? E.g. the drop down to display zone/guild is nice, and also the "show offline members" checkbox.

I'd like to add some suggestions, as I prefer to have my friends list as compact as possible:

    - option to disable level display or simply don't display it for lvl60 friends
    - pvp rank as number (replaced by lastseen if offline)
    - player notes in second line

this would sum up to something like:

    --
    Dummyname / Rk7 / Guildname
    This is a player note
    --
    Dummyname2 / Rk3 / L59 / Guildname
    (no player note here)
    --
    Dummyname3 / 3days / L43 / Guildname
    another player note here
    --

(with the player names colored by raidclass, and everything in dark grey for offline players)

Daagar: frames.lua, function Squishy:UpdateFrameData(). Probably you only need to change lines 127 and/or 136.

As you might have noticed, my time working on Squishy is rather limited. And before not all bugs are fixed and Squishy is converted to Ace2 (anyone volunteering?), I don't want to add another option. Options usually are responsible for addons not being developed any further, as they bloat the code. So if you want to have something aligned left instead of right, blue instead of red or upside down, please hard code it in your local file. I won't add it myself. :)

A feature I'm really looking for in addition to the two you combined is storing the time you've seen them last. While this data doesn't indicate that someone hasn't been online since that moment, it is an indicator wether someone quit playing or transferred to a different server. My friendslist is full as I use it to store all the people I group with from time to time (even if it's only once a month), and while I'm pretty sure at least 10 of them have quit playing I couldn't tell who they are. With such a feature I could delete people from my friendslist if they havent been seen for e.g. 2 months.

PS: no idea how you came up with AuldLangSyne as addon name, but it's terrible to remember. Worse than KLTHM, err KTLMH, err KLHTM_ThreatMeter. Why not call it something like MyFriends, FriendsNotes,...?

assuming you're click-casting and not meshing a macro button that will heal the unit with the highest priority: there are 10ppl on the list, and I'm planning to optionally extend the number of people on the list. Are you fearing that the person you should heal isn't on the list at all?

Grumpey, thanks for that report, I just uploaded a new version. Actually I wonder how raid pet support ever worked. As I didn't have time to launch wow and probably won't be able to join a raid for a few days, I hope fixing this didn't cause any new problem. So if for some reason you encounter a new pet problem, please post the error and disable pet support. It might be necessary to do a "/console reloadui" first in such a situation.

se7en, there's a 1kb/s memory increase if you're ungrouped but have turned on solo mode (which is default in the latest version on svn). This is related to periodic roster checks that are necessary as the server data can happen to be wrong, and probably is related to creating a few local variables.

It shouldnt really be a problem though, as it will only force a garbage collection every 40-50 minutes, which you probably won't even notice when standing around in Orgrimmar.

Besides that, there shouldnt be any memory increase. Does that differ from your observation?

    Uploaded a new version. Changes:
    - now adds an option to display health deficit numbers
    - health bars have a black background
    - keybindings to target the 3 units with highest priority
    - some bug fixes

Murazor: if you're seeing the dummytargets, then there's a problem with creating the roster. While the latest version shouldn't error out anymore, you should find out why the roster isn't created, aka why Squishy isnt functional. Please try the latest version, and as always, make sure all externals are up to date.

Grita, please try the latest version too.

PS: as I added a new file you'll need to restart wow after updating. Just logging out your character isn't enough.

I have to partly agree with Cladhaire - the downside of heal rank selectors is that if you rely on them, you probably won't be the worst healer in your raid, but probably not the best either. And while auto-rank selection (see my additional note below) is very helpful for quickly clearing MC for an over-geared raid group which is capable of clearing (most of) BWL, sooner or later you'll end up with major problems as you've never learned to manually choose ranks depending on the current situation - and you'll probably not be able to properly heal preemptively.

On the other side, for some situations such a feature can be pretty handy. I use auto-rank selection (sometimes even combined with auto choosing the target via Squishy) for battlegrounds, e.g. for AV front line battles.

Now to the note I mentioned above: while predicting the damage on a target for the next 1-3 seconds is merely impossible, there are 2 simple states that are helpful - which is partly why I added them as visual indicators to Squishy:

    - is a unit currently being healed by someone else? If yes, choose a lower rank (personally, I subtract 350hp from the current damage)
    - does a unit have aggro? If yes, choose a higher rank (here I'm adding 350*spell cast duration to the current damage to 'predict' the total damage the moment the spell lands)

Aka for my personal needs, I'd mainly want a function I can pass a unit, spellname and a over/underheal value in percent or absolute - that will then return the optimal rank. Again, I'm not the type of person who'd always rely on this logic, but it's helpful for lots of situations.

I do think this is nothing that should be a module of Clique but rather an embeddable library that can be added to Clique and other addons, but doesn't have to be distributed with it. Rather let users decide to add it, than let them decide to opt out.
