    *sigh*

Why do I feel like I'm being picked on?

I don't want a floating extraneous icon anywhere on my screen...that is more clear now yes?

Yes I know I can turn it off and have done so.

Apparently this causes me to miss some functionality of the addon.

If it turns out this isn't the buffing addon for me, thats fine. I just thought I'd give some input.

You and I just don't agree and thats OK. But I absolutely do NOT want a floating icon in the middle of my screen no matter how small I can make it (UNLESS it only appears when buffs are needed).
I do understand about changing the appearance of the addon, that is how I turned off the floating icon :D
I don't understand what pre-expiring modifiers has to do with anything that I'm talking about, I'm not concerned with when I'm notified about buff expiry.

So you're too lazy to move your mouse a little over the icon to see the buffs, or move your eyes a little to see if there's a glowy thing around the icon (remembering that it doesn't just show when buffs expire but also before it's going to expire, which can be user defined)? :P

I don't know what you are talking about unfortunately. I have the floating icon turned off because I don't want a random icon floating around in the middle of my screen. If you mean the fubar icon, yes I can move my mouse over it to see if someone needs buffs but that doesn't really help me see when buffs are needed. I don't know about you, but my fubar is at the top of my screen, if the icon changes up there I surely won't notice it. This has nothing to do with laziness. From what I saw the floating icon was always visible, is it not supposed to be? If its not supposed to be visible all the time and is only supposed to show when I or someone else needs buffs then that would be alright and I could leave it turned on and that issue would be solved for me. That wasn't how I noticed it behaving last night however.

You know I just realized...the way that I'm showing needed buffs with CorkFu is really very simple...its just the detached FuBar tooltip with the background and border set to completely transparent. If ZOMGBuffs could show only needed buffs in its FuBar tooltip (and no other text) then I could do the same thing with it. Nothing would show when no buffs are needed etc.

I don't deny that really all I'm looking for is an updated CorkFu (that has rangechecking ogod) :X

I appreciate your hard work here and don't mean to be a complainobot (which is a complaining robot of course). I do understand you aren't making this mod specifically for me, even though it doesn't seem like I do. So thank you!

Will see what the keybinding stuff is doing. It 'should' remember your old bindings for whatever it replaced. It's apparently not!

    good to hear!

Well, you do get a centre screen notification when someone needs a buff, and the floating icon has the swirly thing around it at the same time. Is this not enough? I wanted to avoid screen clutter, so I certainly am reluctant to have a 2nd way to show the same info.

I have the floating icon turned off - I don't want a floating icon in the middle of my screen when no one needs buffs (and I don't want a floating icon in general) - to me that is screen clutter. The center screen notification is fine, but fairly easy to ignore (by the way, what about an option to output to SCT/Parrot/MSBT or whatever?). The best way for me to know who needs what buffs is to see the list of who needs what buffs and if that list can appear in the middle of my screen (without any floating icon there as well and without me having to mouseover anything) then that would be ideal, its something that can't be missed. If no one needs buffs, I don't want to see anything. I wish I could show you a screenshot of what I am talking about, but I'm at work :(

If you think it should be buffing and it's not, mouseover the floating icon. It should tell you why it's not doing anything. Most times, a group member is out of range and you have the wait for class/group option enabled, or a lot of the raid is not present and you have wait for raid set to some %.

As noted above I couldn't mouse over the floating icon, because I have it turned off. But if I am in a group of two and am standing right next to my groupmate and he's not buffed but I am, I would hope it would tell me that he needs a buff and give me the option to buff him with a 30 minute version of my buff.

Use a keybind then? The option is right underneath the Mousewheel auto buff option..

I did use a keybind, the same one I use for CorkFu. I also turned off the mousewheel autobuff. Unfortunately it had already unbound my mousewheel settings which caused me to have to reset them. After a console reloadui it did it again (I think, my stuff was definitely unbound again). It would be much better overall if this mod just wouldn't touch my mousewheel - unless I tell it to (and I never would, but I understand some folks like to mousewheel buff). I just think its a bad idea to have mousewheel buffing set by default, unless the mod can save my current mousewheel keybinds and set them back to what I had them set to when I turn mousewheel buffing off.

    Great addon!
But the mousewheelbuff is a bit annoying. It ovverrides my custom keybinding for the mousewheel. Can you add an option to disable the keybinding completely or restore the binding that was assigned before, please?

Seconded. Having to rekeybind all of my characters abilities to the mousewheel will be a serious pain and probably keep me from using this. Also, when I turned off buffing with the mousewheel and decided to console reloadui, the mousewheel bindings I had just set were removed and the mousewheel was back to its default camera zoom in/out. I'm not sure if this was ZOMGBuffs fault or not, but it was really annoying. Basically, just don't mess with my mousewheel :X

Another thing...I've been using CorkFu for buffs. One thing I did with CorkFu was detach the tooltip and place it just left of my character in the middle of my screen with the border and background transparent. This made it so that when someone needed buffs, the buff and their name would suddenly appear just left of the middle of my screen and when no one needed buffs, nothing was there, no screen clutter. I'd like to do the same thing with ZOMGBuffs but haven't found a way to do it. This is extremely important to me.

Finally I had some issues with ZOMGBuffs just plain ol not knowing it was time to buff either me or my party members. There were no error messages, just I could see that my groupmate needed mark and ZOMGBuffs didn't notice. The only thing I can think of that may have caused an issue with this was that it may have been waiting for more of my party to need the group buff? There were only two of us though in my group...in that case I'd really like ZOMGBuffs to suggest/apply the single target 30 minute buff; CorkFu does this.

[edit] How rude of me! Thanks for the efforts on this addon :D

I use my focus for cc'ing.

I have no problem setting and using my assist. I can see (if I bother to look) what my assist is targetting because I have party target windows on...and sometimes mt targets are on and my assist is on there too. Problem is, I don't bother too look. I'm too busy strafing/lookingatcombopoints/tryingnottodie/rooting/cycloning/havingabiteofasandwich/etc.

So when my assist changes target it would just be real handy to have a 'ding' or something :X

I am a bad assister, I admit it. I'm looking for an addon to help me assist better.

The reason I am a bad assister is that I don't use my player target/group target frames that pitbull gives me, or rather, I do use them, I just don't ever look at them, same with mt windows etc.

I have an assist macro, that I press at the beginning of a fight and whenever my assist yells that he's changed targets.

This is primarily in arena ...and changing targets on a dime and as a team to throw in as much burst as possible before healers can react is necessary for our team.

What I really want is a sound cue for when my assist changes targets. A simple ding or something to cue me to press my assist key again.

Does something like this exist? Does it make any sense? Would I go batty from all the dinging noises?

I'm also a big corkfu fan...I run with the tooltip detached and the window/border set to transparent. Its positioned just left of my character on the screen. Its extremely easy to see when I or someone else is missing a buff that way. And I absolutely love how easy it is to set up who you are buffing. I see nothing if everyone is buffed up how they should be.

If only tekkub would make it so it would skip those out of range (or out of los or something, some kind of blacklist) so that the buffing macro wouldn't just stop.

Maybe I'm confused (and I know this doesn't show a bar) but can't you just set your GridStatusLifebloom to show the length of time remaining in the centertext area if you want to know that info? You can also show stack count in various ways (color, or also as a 1/2/3 in the center text).

posted a message on Proximo 2.0 - Simple Arena Unit Frames
    Quote from Grayhoof »

I've been taking a much need break from WoW, so only been keeping up with required updates for Proximo. I am slowly starting to get back into things and will begin adding new features in time. My currents plans are basically 3 releases over the next fee weeks/months:

    1. A release to fix issues/enhancements with 2.3+ patch
    2. A conversion to Ace3 release
    3. A release with new features (Tattle, mini-map mouse over, etc...)

I will not be adding buffs, cast bars, etc...Its is to be used with coordinating targets and making targeting easier. Those types of functionality do not work well without set in game unit ID's, so until Blizzard changes how they work you will need to use unit frames for them.

Just curious, I know I can get spec information using dogtags with pitbull/cowtip (was working in arena last week and was pretty amazing) . Would it be possible to apply this to Proximo?

    Commit by ckknight :: r56922 LibDogTag-2.0/LibDogTag-2.0.lua:

LibDogTag-2.0 - hack up WoW's inspect system to gleam talent info from everyone requested.

    * simplify some talent checking functions.
    * note: due to what I'm guessing is a bug in Blizz's system, talent info is available from both factions as long as the other unit is visible (not even has to be within 30 yards).
