How do I make UI that is clean and simple and doesn't suck donkey balls? I use 1280x1024 and no body makes anything worthwhile for that resolution.
Trial, error, and many scrapped UIs that sucked donkey balls. Hehe, all you can do is flip through the thread and borrow some ideas from people. You're right that there aren't a lot of compilations out there for 1280x1024, but you can make it work. I made several of my own UIs in that resolution that I still like better than anything I've done on my new widescreen. :P

I'm hoping I'll get some inspiration soon.

Hell yes, hehe. It's the only decent one with a graphic at the bottom. A big block of solid color just sucks...

This might be a bug related to the chat log settings reset bug that some people are experiencing. For those that don't know, with multiple chat windows the new system will 'forget' your chat/channel settings on initial login but with a /console reloadui it will fix them until you need to relog again. Reloading the UI might just be triggering some chat window funkyness that's overwriting CF's changes.

What font is that you're using for chat/unit name text/OnScreenHealth ?

    Pretty sure that's Calibri Bold.

I believe I'd cast my vote for these two, out of the ones so far. Very polished looking to me.

Haha, oddly enough I watched this old gem for the first time in a long time last night and I thought "You know, replace Steam with Ace and this would be great for the forum."

There is an Ace3 version of Quartz? Or going to be?

Yep, there's an Ace3 version in the branches but it's not ready for use yet.

Thrae has deleted the old version of TinyTip and transferred his new revision of TinyTip to the Ace SVN. I assume he did it to start developing it here again on the trunk, but until it is back to what you wanted I'd suggest reverting to: http://files.wowace.com/TinyTip/TinyTip-r41188.5.zip

just updated and cant find the option to remove the Totalsec thing.

can someone point me in the right direction?

edit: also, i'd like to make sure it still counts down from the time left on the cast, not count up towards totalsec or whatever.

You need to check the box that says Hide Cast Time in the Player and Target options. Took me a while to find it too.

The changes to DogTag shouldn't break any of your tags. The only thing that has changed significantly is that the parsing is stricter now - it doesn't allow stray "!" cases where there is no matching "?". If that is the case in your tags, they were broken already.

The latest syntax updates broke all of my custom tags as well. I fixed it by setting them all back to standard options (wiping them), restarting WoW, and reentering them.

I tried to look for an answer to my question but i couldn't find one so let's go:
Is it possible to somehow add timers to buffs (hots mainly) and debuffs to your target frame?
I used nurfedunit frames they included that feature as you can see on that screenshot:

    http://i27.tinypic.com/vnktqc.jpg

I'm not sure their plans for that, but you can use OmniCC to do that in the meantime.

Of course i had to redo my UI, i was mostly inspired by the awesome savantido remixes posted some time ago.
Not really sure if im happy with the DogTag work tho, i'll see how things work out.
Focus target looks like the ToT and is just above it.
