And please tell me why they are still letting files get upload??

I was referring to WoWI's approval method where a Real Human Being (not a program) actually looks at the mod in question, takes it apart (especially EXEs) and scans it three ways to Sunday looking for any trouble. That is what WoWUI should be using. However WoWUI seems to use only an automated Virus scan (which can be fooled, especially if the virus scanner does not have definations for the malware in question and most virus scanners don't catch other forms of malware). WoWUI should use WoWI's method, they don't have the site upload volume that WoWI has (judging from both sites front page and Fin's WoWMods (my update checker of choice ;D) site,

Tunga I am glad to see you around these parts. I am Xinh although you haven't seen my name on WoWUI in a long time due my misgivings with that site. They still haven't learned. I was suprised to read that WoWUI does not have a dedicated UI moderator. It would seem they don't have an Admin that is not on EU time either.

I can still see the site and the virus is still there.

Yah I noticed that, They should look at going to WoWI's method of AddOn upload approval, aka a real life human being actually looking at it and taking it apart. Sure its a bit slower however its more secure. The only time that can I think of that WoWI had a keylogger issue, someone acutally had to hack the file server and even then it was the backup file server they managed to get into, not the primary one.

No the point is that that thing is a virus and not a copyright violation. It should be taking down because it's harmful for anybody who runs the exe!

Edit: Your comment is misleading. There is no may here, this absolutely is a virus and noone should download it until it's taken down.

Avast reports the exe in there which btw is named MetzRemix.exe as this Trojan: Win32:Agent-LWO [Trj]

Absolutely do not run that exe. And this very very likely is not the curse client so I doubt there is any copyright infringement. Noone cares. We care that noone gets keylogged and stuff.

I used the "may" as when I did report it, we did not have an actual malware package name. Nor I am I going to download it and look myself. If I don't have firm proof then I will use word appropriate for that purpose. I tend to be cautious, I don't rush into conclusions and that has worked out well in the past. I prefer to see proof that the sky is really falling before I spread the word. I have since edited my post on WoWUI with the updated information.

However someone using Kaelten's name has spammed the comments section (likely to prevent the uploader from being able to nuke all the comments).

They should really disable the user who keeps posting those keyloggers:

    http://wowui.worldofwar.net/?p=profile&u=411659

And yes that link Xin posted is live and a keylogger. Beware! No comments on that one that warns everybody. I have reported it as keylogger.

I have also reported as contains Trojan/copyrighted work as I seriously doubt Curse Inc. would permit the uploaded of material for which it holds the copyright, to a third party site (and a "competitor" no less).

I have also posted a comment on the download regarding its copyright issues. Let's see how long it stays there.

Thank you for your ansfer. Then i just quess i cant do it. If i remember right Discord did let you chance all fonts inside the config of addon it self... so maybe someday we will have that for pitbull.

Yah, Discord was the most customizable Unit Frame mod (or other UI related) out there. Pitbull is pretty good however not quite as customizable as Discord. Of course with Discord you did pay the price in memory usage. However a new team is working on the next generation of Discord (Discord UI Builder).

If FuBar was a required dependancy, then changing that in the toc to FuBar2Broker is working fine - that's how I got back ExitFu... (and then I've found FireExit. /sigh)

When I did my "hack" I did not even add in FuBar2Broker just moved the FuBar entry. It worked quite nicely as FuBar2Broker picked it up just fine.

You did get it partually right, im trying to chance only some of the fonts... Like font is Pitbull Name and Class ( Player > Text > Class ).

Ahh, aka so some Texts in Pitbull have one fonts but the rest have another? Example: Name using Arial.ttf and Class using Impact.tff? If that is the case, then no it can't be done, its all or nothing except for the Combat text (the text that displays hits and heals) font. The Combat text can have a different font from the main PB font. Likely you can use different fonts for different texts IF you are willing to hack the PB code. However that is a nice large chunk of code to sort through.

posted a message on No Longer Able to Configure Khaos
    Quote from ldeanjames
I did see that posting about CosmosUI coming to an end, but it was dated 2005, and since Khaos has been available since then, I figured someone must be carrying on, and others besides myself must still be using it. As far as using one mod to configure all other mods, Khaos is unsurpassed.

I still have hopes that someone out there, (far more technical than I and unwilling to leave Khaos broken,) will come across my post and let me know how they've gotten theirs to work again. It may not happen, but hope springs eternal. :)

    Thanks again,
    L. Dean James

Actually that post is from 08 Oct 2008 and can be found in its entirety (including responses >> HERE <<. It looks like some people are looking to try continuing Khaos however Khaos is reliant on many other Cosmos libs. The trick will be freeing Khaos from those libs or updating libs.

OK, let me get this clear: You are trying to use a custom font with PitBull. You are using SharedMedia to import this font. And you are using MyMedia to do so?

    1. Did you Create a "MyMedia files" folder and MyMedia.lua?

    AddOns\
      SharedMedia\
          MyMedia files
          MyMedia.lua
    2. In MyMedia did you use the correct format?
        --font
         SharedMedia:Register("font", "my font's name", [[Interface\Addons\SharedMedia\MyMedia files\myfont.ttf]])
Replacing myfont.ttf with exact name of the font in question, using the same captializtion as the name of font, as in either example: font1.ttf font2.TTF FonT3.ttf

It seems like a lot of my Fubar plugins will not display in SBC, although I have Fubar2Broker installed. Is this just how it is or do I need to install Fubar to make it work?

I hacked the TOC file of the two FuBar plug-ins I use to remove the dependency on FuBar itself. However this was pre 3.0.2 so I don't know if it will work now and currently I am not in game to test my hack with the new patch (**CENSORED** cash issues).

What I did was move FuBar from the Dependencies field to the OptionalDeps field. Worked very nicely. However again this pre 3.0.2 and a couple of cranky FuBar plug-ins still didn't work.

Luckily I was able to find replacements for those cranky old plug-ins. In regards to the others that I got to work, once I return to WoW, I may look into hacking them to completely remove any need for FuBar or Lib-FuBarPlugin (plus Tablet and Dewdrop).

that was all that popped up in bugsack. Hell I cant even access BS options anymore and it never stores more then 1 error since 3.0.2.

Either get an LDB display mod such as ButtonBin or if you are a FuBar user, then Broker2FuBar. The reason why are you are not seeing BugSack option (or a BS MiniMap button) is that BS has moved from using Lib-FuBarPlugin to LibDataBroker.

posted a message on getting rid of various bugs / understanding changes
To answer question 1. Broker2FuBar is not a new "Bar AddOn", rather its a way for FuBar to display LibDataBroker (LDB) based mods. LibDataBroker is a relatively new (as of this summer) mod. Here is a quick explaination from Tekkub's LibDataBroker page:
LibDataBroker is a small WoW addon library designed to provide a MVC interface for use in various addons. LDB’s primary goal is to “detach” plugins for TitanPanel and FuBar from the display addon. Plugins can provide data into a simple table, and display addons can receive callbacks to refresh their display of this data. LDB also provides a place for addons to register “quicklaunch” functions, removing the need for authors to embed many large libraries to create minimap buttons. Users who do not wish to be “plagued” by these buttons simply do not install an addon to render them.
In short LDB plug-ins work with any LDB display mod. LibDataBroker based mods sometimes go by the name of "DataBroker" or "Broker"

    Examples of LDB displays:

    • Fortress
    • StatBlockCore
    • Carousel
    • TitanPanel
    • ButtonBin
    • MakeRocketGlow
    • and more
FuBar currently does not have LDB support however the plug-in Broker2FuBar does add it, however it's a hack so results may vary. Conversly LDB display mods can display many FuBar plug-ins with the mod FuBar2Broker. This also a hack, results may vary and some FuBar plug-ins may require a small amount of hacking to work with FuBar2Broker.

BugSack has dropped FuBar support in favor of LDB (as you have discovered). LDB seems to be way way these small plug-ins/displays are going as it provides a lot more flexibility for both authors and users.

You can find more info about LDB at Tekkub's Git site.
Many LDB display and plug-ins can be found on WoWInterface's DataBroker section.

In regards to question 3: Try running with Ace2 standalone. I know that has cleared up similar errors.

EDIT: I am not sure if I like the WYSIWYG edit box, I am too used to formating BBCode by hand (and it's usually faster to edit by hand too.). /sigh. The WYSIWYG does not like manual coding
