posted a message on Adding a direct link to the "Issues" page on an addon description fails

    This fix was now deployed

Is it retroactive or do we have to edit the existing links?  I'm still seeing the same behavior.

posted a message on Adding a direct link to the "Issues" page on an addon description fails

    • In my description on mods.curse.com a link to a Known Issues ticket looks like this: https://mods.curse.com/addons/can-i-mog-it/tickets/114-7-1-0-01-known-issues-and-tips-check-here-first/
    • On the wow.curseforge.com Overview it looks like: https://wow.curseforge.com/addons/can-i-mog-it/tickets/114-7-1-0-01-known-issues-and-tips-check-here-first/
    • When I edit the Description and look at the link it shows: ../../../addons/can-i-mog-it/tickets/114-7-1-0-01-known-issues-and-tips-check-here-first/

I don't know why the link looks like that or how it was formatted that way, but I have not touched this link in this description since the change over and I wouldn't have formatted it like that.  This sounds like what you're talking about too.  It shouldn't be touching my links at all.  :/

I also noticed that all old links to pre-existing tickets just send you to the Issues page

posted a message on "Enhancment" issue tag on migrated issues

There are two tags, but the "Enhancment" tag is on every ticket of that type.

The "Enhancement" tag is only on a few tickets.

As you can see from the attached image and the above links, there are 24 active tickets on my project with the "Enhancment" tag and only 1 with "Enhancement".  I also have 22 closed tickets with "Enhancment" and only 1 also has "Enhancement"

Basically this would be solved by my request to edit tags, which you said you put a ticket in for earlier today. :)

    Tags

    • Need to be able to be edited (so I can rename them ie. Accepted to Status: Accepted or your auto-generated Enhancment to Enhancement)

You do this under your project settings -> issues

I can add new tags and delete existing tags, but I don't see a way to edit existing tags.  I want to change an existing tag to something else.
That way I don't have to add an entirely new tag just to fix a spelling error or I can edit some of the automatic tags generated by the site change over to be more useful for me.
Ah, that is fair enough, I will get a ticket in for this :)

Thanks for the quick response.  Most of this is definitely QoL.  :)

    Tickets

    • Right sidebar was incredibly useful to quickly add/remove/adjust information about the ticket
    • Also missing easy ability to see all of it's information at a glance in the sidebar

We had it this way before and got a ton of feedback that people didn't like it, which is how we ended up where we are.

Aw, I can see that, but I love useful sidebars myself.

Curse.com link - Previously it was accessible throughout the entire project, but now it's only available on the Overview sidebar.  I know that I personally used this button multiple times per day, especially when going to install something, since there isn't a "Install with Curse Client" button on CurseForge.

I will ticket this but I cannot guarantee that it will happen. We would have to change the structure on the page and agree on it. But we will def look into it :)

I was thinking of a button at the top right near Follow/Donate with the Curse logo similar to how it was before.  (Come to think about it, those two don't seem to need text next to them?)

Overall the site really looks great and is super responsive.  Thank you guys for all your hard work.

Looks like it just ate one of mine too.  Maybe because I embedded YouTube videos of the bugs.

posted a message on Localization Page Bugs when Assigning Namespaces

    Phrases combining in left sidebar

After editing to assign Namespaces.  Seems to compound the more I do it. Refresh fixes it.

Editing a phrase to change namespace-

When you edit a Phrase to change the Namespace and click "Update" it then "refreshes" the page it does not always show the new Namespace, it shows the old. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.  If you filter "Base Namespace" sometimes it automatically hides itself after the Namespace is applied, but sometimes it doesn't...

(I don't know if these happen when doing other actions, I've only been assigning Namespaces so far.)

    Issues:

    • Sorting options please (Newest, Oldest, Most/Least comments, Recently/Not Recently Updated)
    • Comment count back please - Made it easy to pick out big issue tickets
    • Priorities - It wasn't super useful, but it wasn't awful to have
    • Mass editing - I'd really really love to be able to select a bunch and add/remove a tag to all at once
    • Tickets
      • Right sidebar was incredibly useful to quickly add/remove/adjust information about the ticket
      • Also missing easy ability to see all of it's information at a glance in the sidebar

      • Ability to set colors please

    Localization

    • Overview sidebar could include "Most recently translated phrases"
    • Phrases aren't included in the dropdown, you can only get there through clicking on the "Source Language" button on the Overview sidebar (not intuitive)

Curse.com link - Previously it was accessible throughout the entire project, but now it's only available on the Overview sidebar.  I know that I personally used this button multiple times per day, especially when going to install something, since there isn't a "Install with Curse Client" button on CurseForge.

CSS consistency between Description on Curse.com and Overview on CurseForge

posted a message on Curse Client doesn't download my addon
Thank you very much for your help Torhal. Posting solution here too in case it comes up again.

Solution: The file needed to be tagged for current game version to show in the client. Set the file on CurseForge to work for Live too (so 6.2.4 and 7.0.3) and it worked with the Client. Being set to 7.0.3 only meant that it wouldn't show up in the client until patch day when the version of the game updated.

posted a message on Curse Client doesn't download my addon
I submitted this to Curse Client support two days ago, but they haven't responded.

Same issue as this older thread: http://forums.curseforge.com/showthread.php?t=21722

My addon Can I Mog It? does not show up in the Curse Client as installed or via search nor does it allow you to install it using the "Install via Curse Client" button on the website. The Downloads window opens, but it's just white.

The addon was originally experimental and I think uploaded by hand but has since been only pushed using Git.

I've tried downloading different addons and they work perfectly fine.

I've tried with two different computers, two different accounts, logged in and logged out, and it still doesn't work.

Any help is welcome, thank you.

posted a message on kgPanels - Multiple Resizing Windows
    Quote from Phanx
The code on the page you linked for making a panel the same size as a chat frame is actually a really bad way to do it. You don't need to set scripts or listen for events or do anything else. All you need to do is attach the panel to the chat frame by two diagonally-opposed corners:

    panel:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", ChatFrame1, "TOPLEFT", 0, 0)
    panel:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", ChatFrame1, "BOTTOMRIGHT", 0, 0)

Then, whenever you resize the chat window, the panel will remain attached to its corners, so it will automatically get bigger or smaller. Make sure you're not also using SetWidth and SetHeight on the panel.

I'm not familiar with how you set up panels in kgPanels, but you should just be able to set up a panel's anchor or attachment points once when you create it.

    Thank you! This worked perfectly!

Put this into OnLoad for each panel and it's working perfectly now. Much appreciated.
    self:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", ChatFrame4, "TOPLEFT", -10, 13)
    self:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", ChatFrame4, "BOTTOMRIGHT", 10, -15)

posted a message on kgPanels - Multiple Resizing Windows
I have multiple chat windows on my screen, and I'd like to give each it's own panel. Easy enough.

However, I'd also like them to resize with the chat window they are attached to. Using the sample script does it for one panel, but no matter what I try, I cannot get it to work independently across the other panels. They all inherit their size and resize with that first panel.

I tried changing size.resized to a different variable name for the other panels (ie. self.resized5), but nothing changes.

    Help?
