does an artist do his work for himself?

Now we're getting into the theoretical here, but... Ever notice that a lot of those considered 'great' artists nowadays weren't known during their own lifetimes? Van Gogh, Poe, Dickinson...that's the first three that come to mind (toward the end of my workday, when I'm thinking more of carrier plans than art or addons) that were virtually unknown during their own lifetimes. They weren't seeking fame. They created art for themselves.

My point simply being that is a poor argument.

Enable the EditBox module. That'll let you put the edit box at the top and turn on the arrow stuff again.

I was getting those too. I didn't come back and post this morning, but in order to get it working normally, I had to disable some of my other mods too - Mendeleev was one of them, can't remember the others right off. I can look more later. Basically, I was having the same problem whether I had Prat 3.0 on or not, so I started looking around at other addons.

My advice is to start looking at what you have that uses Ace2. Make sure they are updated, or start disabling and see which one is the problem.

(Might be time for a mod to split this into a 'if you're losing chat...' thread.)

r38 seems to be OK with just Prat enabled, so something else is causing me to lose chat. I'm reporting this for the sake of Sylv's sanity, not because I expect him to fix it. ;)

(For anyone having trouble who is curious, FuBar2Broker and one of my FuBar addons was causing the issue.)

You may have been downloading from there, but those hadn't been updated in some time...around two weeks or so, since the files got moved here, as I remember.

That is a very good suggestion and would handle the situation nicely. :)

(Yes we do. I think you are awake when I'm asleep though, since you are keeping working hours now.)

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not watching you. ;)

Spennig's idea would also cover the power-user types who occasionally feel the need to hack an established mod 'just to see what happens'.

However, if Spennig's idea didn't make the final cut, that is something that would need to be considered. If the errors were automatically reported, how is the author to know (unless it's a very obvious change on the user end) that the user is mucking around with stuff, and this isn't a problem with the code as it is on the svn?

Get on with it. I'm playing in another 7 hrs from now (probably when they'll be starting the rolling restarts - I am so positive about patch days!) and it had better be ready. ;)

In response to multiple messages that I've seen stating which have been editted saying 'can't delete my post,' here are instructions to delete your own post. :)

    1. Click Edit.
    2. Look at the row of buttons under the Reason for Editing box, which is in turn located under the actual post edit box.
    3. Click the Delete button.
    4. Choose the Delete Message radio button.
    5. Add a reason if you want, but it's not necessary.
    6. Click the Delete This Message button.

Trust me, a broken release being pushed to curse.com is going to be worse than any number of clueless people using trunk. Atleast when they're using the trunk they're going to get the fix right away when it's commited.

Authors can opt out of pushing their releases to Curse, from what I understand. There's really far less chance of people unknowingly getting their hands on a mod that's not ready for public consumption.

    Found a (minor [IMO]) bug.

If the Buttons "enable" is unchecked, the buttons disappear. But when it's rechecked, the buttons shows up at the middle of the chat display. But after a reload, it goes back to its default.
    I am using r22.

This is an issue in r23 as well. If just the reminder button is shown, it's fine - shows up on the inside right of the chat frame. If all buttons are shown, the arrows are in the middle of the chat frame, and the reminder is stretched almost the entire width of the frame.

There will be fewer people downloading things they never should have, because they were works in progress and not ready for release.
