Something I've noticed with the latest version is that the four PallyPower_* assignment tables never get cleared, they only accumulate.

Yeah, I just noticed that mine got pretty large. I'm going to add a purge function in the next build.

EDIT: Yea, its swaping profiles on dual-spec switch, but apparently either both profiles are the same or the profile swap isn't changing buff assignments.

It is not supposed to swap your buff assignments. It only swaps profiles which include aura, seal and righteous fury settings and layout.

Actually, it would be even cooler if it was implemented as some sort of "set" system where you can do /pp save tanking and /pp load tanking, to save/load a set of auras, seals and blessings. That way you can implement it in macro buttons to easily swap all at once. That would be INCREDIBLE.
Such a system of user-named sets would also be easy to tie into specs, like "on Spec swap, if spec==1 activate set named "tanking" else activate set named "healing"".
That really would be a superb solution.

That is done in the latest beta 3.2.12b.
When you change your spec to Primary, PallyPower loads "Default" profile, including the assigned Aura, Seal and RF values.
When you change your spec to Secondary, PallyPower load "Secondary" profile.

You may want to manually create a "Secondary" profile as a copy of your "Default" profile.

It does not switch assigned blessings, you need to use the SavePreset/LoadPreset functionality.

Would it be possible to implement a dual spec implementation ?
Whenever i change from Prot to Holy, i need to setup aura and blessings again and going back again, where each setup for itself is the same.

It has not been implemented, but can be done via a macro.
I think I explained at least few times how to do it.

It's worth mentioning that if there was an issue with PallyPower and the version of AllPlayed that had a global L variable, that means that PallyPower also has a rogue global definition of the L variable that should be fixed.

    Best

    Don't think so. PallyPower.lua: line 5: local L = AceLibrary("AceLocale-2.2"):new("PallyPower")

This started happening with latest beta release b3.2.11. I'm not sure if this is a fault in PallyPower or perhaps an outdated library so I thought I would ask here before making an official ticket.

What locale you're using and what translations are missing? Also please check FrameXML.log and post things related to PallyPower. PS: As for this: > AceLocale(PallyPower): Translation "AllPlayed Configuration" does not exist. The error reporting shows PallyPower because most likely the AceLocale was loaded from its libs folder. PallyPower does not have such translation. I suggest you check your addons and find one that has.

Beta 3.2.11 + Added a new option to ignore raid groups 6-8 + Some deDE corrections (thanks to archiv) + Auto-Assignments finally work as intended (using blessing templates according to the number of paladins available in the raid) Please give a try to the new auto assignment and let me know how it works. If it does not work as expected I need a screenshot of that.

I quickly glanced over RosterLib's code; what does it do that can't be done as easily by Blizzard APIs?

... I did say quickly glance LOL.

Basically I need an extended version of Grid's roster with party members sorted by class instead of group number, pets attached to correct classes based on their family/owner, etc.

Just poking a stick at the angry dog here: is PallyPower going to get ported to Ace3? I searched the forum for Ace3 and found some comments, but nothing that directly answers the question.

I tried but looks like for Ace3 I need a full rewrite of the rosterlib (or something similar) to keep the roster updated.

I am a windows application programmer by trade I am just not familiar with the specific language used in creating these mods.

lua language is not that hard to figure out even for a Basic programmer. PP's comm traffic consists of: 1) Request messages to sync with other paladins - 3 bytes. Happens only once when you join a raid and once if you click 'Refresh' button. 2) Assignment messages - ~20-30 bytes for each assignment. If you were the one who assigned blessings without using mass assign, then the number of bytes would be - 2 paladins x 11 classes x 20 bytes x 1-4 (depends on the number of times you clicked). 3) Answering to request messages - about 70 bytes. Happens once for each request. 4) Symbols of Kings report - 10-20 bytes every 2 minutes. So in short, 4kb traffic over 20 minute interval is simply negligible.

OK please, please, please tell me why PP is producing so much more than DBM or HealBot... This was a guild 10 man ICC raid...
PallyPower 218 msgs for 4467 bytes
But I still find this PP comms traffic excessive when you compare to DBM or HealBot...
218 messages over what period of time? How many paladins were in the raid? You're fine as long as you don't see something like this: http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/4981/66272681.jpg

Im using a slightly modified version of YAIAP and you are caught very often while im questing alone.
Aznamir, can you explain why this is necessary?
I personally think you shouldnt be even trying to send a message if im alone. And i doubt that its working in bgs correctly either.
Maybe PP the communications aren't really necessary when you are running around soloing, but it does not hurt and you don't get any error messages from WoW client. YAIAP is overreacting. I did test PallyPower in battlegrounds and it works fine (able to communicate with other paladins). I have not seen 'You are not in a party message' since last August.
