QuestPointer puts the quest POI icons from the world map onto your minimap.
Itâll integrate with TomTomâs crazyarrow, if you have it installed. Click the broker plugin or type â/qp closestâ to have the crazyarrow point to the current closest quest POI.
You can choose to:
Auto-track the closest POI in TomTom
Only show icons for quests youâre watching
Make icons on the edge of the minimap become arrows to make it more obvious that theyâre far away
Change the icon scale
TODO:
Arrowed-icons should include the number/icon that the closer ones use
I wrote an addon earlier today which sticks icons on your minimap for quest POIs. I think that what you're asking for is more akin to the "crazy arrow" in TomTom, but since that doesn't happen automatically, this might be helpful for now. :)
edit: it works the tracking stuff.
the quest rewards are still messed up. (from what i can see, QuestsFu tracker shows no rewards for any quest. but if i open the blizz tracker, it QuestsFu tracker will display for all the quests the rewards of the quest last selected in the blizz tracker)
new issue... using the latest version of the file, I am unable to see any /say text in the main chat window. I disabled the QuestsFu addon and I get my text back..
Maybe not, because I still see mine. But I can't see anyone else's /Say stuff at all.
I'm inclined to say that probably isn't QuestsFu. Certainly isn't happening to me, anyway.
well, the blizz tracker does have one nice new thing - for each quest that gives u an item to use, it displays a button for that item to use directly. no more drag q item on action bar
maybe u could code that into questFu tracker as well :)
That's unlikely to happen -- there's no way to do it with Tablet, insofar as I know.
Try this. Create a new character, have everything loaded up for the UI. Go into the "Objectives" options and uncheck everything but "Instant Quest Text". In the QuestsFu options, check to "use Own tracker". Do the first few quests and you *should* have the problem occur. At least, that's what's happening to me. :) And thanks for the update!
I did that -- started a new Druid, did the whole starting area. No problems.
That said, I applied a patch that schultzr gave me, which looked like it might resolve things.
Fortunately not. FuBar2Broker only pays attention to FuBarPlugin-2.0 plugins, and Broker2FuBar creates LibFuBarPlugin-3.0 plugins.
It would, in essence, convert all the 2.0 plugins into LDB objects, and then immediately back into 3.0 plugins. Which would be weird, but not really harmful.
This takes all LibDataBroker-1.1 objects and puts them on FuBar. I've not tested with FuBar2 -- it probably won't work with it.
It's not done. It is, seriously, too rough to be usable right now. You can't actually configure the plugins yet. No menus, so no switching plugins to left/center/right. No choosing whether the icon should display. Nothing.
I only wrote this because Fortress and StatBlockCore are still way too configuration-intensive to be usable. I suspect I'll be abandoning it in a week or so. :P

Opinions? (Apart from ones saying that this makes WoW even more easymode.)

That may be fixed.

I did just add it to BetterQuest, though.

I haven't been able to properly test it yet, mind you. :D

It can be done on a per-plugin basis with OnEnter and OnLeave.
(There's nothing like FuBar's explicit "set this option and it'll be handled for you" stuff.)

It's on WoWAce if you want to play with it.
